Anybody reading this that has used wired headphones/headsets on PS4 probably knows that many headsets can't play very loud or with authoritative low end. I've had to turn up the headphone volume level from within the PS4 menu to full volume or a couple of clicks below that if I want it to have good immersion. These Stealth 300 solves this problem, but creates another one in the process.
The main reason I give these 4 stars instead of 5 is this headset must be "on", with the internal amplification engaged. If they are turned off, plugging this into the PS4 controller does nothing, they do not work. This can be a problem if you are playing and your battery dies, basically shutting you down without any audio at all. These charge with a USB micro-USB cable, which is included.
Build quality is average for a retail $80 headset. The ear cups are covered in a soft cloth material, which is reportedly memory foam. There is some padding on the crown of the headband. Mic and 3.5mm cable are not detachable, which is another knock I have against these. Muting is done by flipping the mic up, which I've never been a big fan of. The mic itself is hard plastic and not bendable. Volume level and mic monitoring dials are on the ear cup, which I much prefer over inline controls.
Comfort wise these are very good. The pads on the ear cups don't really feel overly soft to the touch by hand, but on your head they are pretty nice. I like cloth covered pads over vinyl or faux leather, as those can get sticky if your ears sweat. Clamping force isn't an issue with my head and my melon is bigger than average.
Sound quality these do very well. There are 4 different pre-set EQ options to pick from and there is a slight difference in all of them. Overall sound is clear with a good amount higher frequency detail, with the low end having strong impact and immersion. They will get much louder than other PS4 headsets I have used that don't use amplification, such as the HyperX Cloud and Plantronics Rig 500 Pro.
Overall, for $80 I would have liked to see a detachable 3.5mm cable and even a detachable mic. You don't get that with these, so they might not be the best option for say an irresponsible teen who doesn't take care of their gear. In comparison, the Logitech G Pro ($89.99 msrp) and Plantronics Rig 500 Pro ($79.99 msrp) both have detachable 3.5mm cables and microphones. Of course, both of those don't have the internal amplification the Stealth 300's have, so buy accordingly. I got these via a price-match for $64.99, which I think is a pretty good price for what you get.

a while ago, my playstation gold headphones broke.so while searching for some new good quality headphones, I found these. They were very well priced and comfortable. They really immersified (don't know if that's a word) my gaming experience. I was able to hear people coming from certain directions accurately and could hear the game and voice chat at an equal volume which was a problem for me with the playstation gold headphones. Also the features the headphones had were great. you could mute your headphones by flipping up the microphone which was so much faster than going into the playstation menu and muting yourself. And you could change your microphone volume and general volume on the headset. Overall, if you're looking for a good cheap headset then I would highly recommend this one. The only down side I can think of is that you have to charge it, but it really isn't a problem because it charges quickly and has a very long battery life. Overall a comfortable, high quality headset.

Pros: The sound is great and theyre comfortable. They also have a good battery life.
Cons: The Ear cups feel loose when ever you grab the headset. They rotate too much, it feels like theyre gonna break essily.
Over all they’re pretty good headphones.

I bought this headset after my official Sony headset started having conbectivity problems via bluetooth. So far I have had no problems with it, and can confidently say that this $79.99 headset stacks up against more expensive models with ease. My only “problem” is that I still haven’t found how to properly mix game and chat audio. I advise everyine to read the manual
Cons:
1. Short charging cable
Pros:
1. Perfoms like and better than other top headsets
2. Does not mess with wifi signal
3. Comfortable and light weight
4. LONG battery life
5. Can use it to watch movies or listen to music
6. Can’t hear anything besides what is in the headphones
7. Great price

I wanted to get a gaming headset for my 8 year old son and he was excited to get these. I did have to help him get these set up initially.
For size, they are a bit big for an 8 year old, but that was to be expected. I ended up trying them out while playing a FPS game and the difference between TV and headset is mind blowing and while they aren't of a Bose quality, they are good for what they are.
I don't trust my son to take good care of these, so at this price point, it makes sense to me and the quality it on par with the price point.

Bought these for my son (took a chance) and I have to say; these Turtle Beach headphones are very nice. Sound quality is good and comfort level is very good as well. My son really likes them. I tried them on and did a Little gaming and for the price - you can’t beat them. I know that there are more expensive and probably better sounding headphones, but these seem well built, sound quality is very good and clear, wired and Bluetooth connection to controller Is fast and reliable. So, you’re not really taking a chance - these headphones will more than do the job for gaming. Enjoy!

I had been using a cheap $15-20 Xbox One headset and wanted to upgrade since my TV has just okay sound and we live on a busy street. I'm completely shocked at how high quality this headset and sound is. First, the headset is extremely comfortable - even if I'm wearing glasses. Second, the surround sound is unbelievable. Not only am I hearing completely new sounds on games I've played for a long time, but the direction of the sound is superb for online gaming. You can hear footsteps from of anyone approaching before they are even close to you.

Purchased for my son to use with his PS4. These are incredibly comfortable to use. Love the cushioning on the headset band. Sound is acceptable and the ears are comfortable with the padding. Love the microphone function. When the microphone "stick" is out/activated it works flawlessly and when you want to "mute" the microphone you just need to push the "stick" up towards the earphone. Incredibly convenient and a fabulous design.

I really like how these feel, they're lighter than some others I've tried and the ear pieces are soft enough to wear for hours. The sound quality is awesome. I always have trouble figuring out which button and control does what, trial and error required. One of the ear pieces is very loose but it is not a problem yet.

I’m not a gamer. So don’t read this review for specs. But what I will say is, I’ve watched my boyfriend go through mics like they were candy. We’ve been together for almost 2 years & he’s gone through a few (idk how) so I got him these for Christmas & over a year later they’re still in great condition! He loves them! So I can say they’re durable & they do have good sound quality

Purchased for my teenage gamer son. So far he loves these headphones. His last turtle beach headphones were of similar quality but only last a few years before he broke them. Based on the price, the sound quality and my 15 year olds opinion, these were a good buy.

I am not a fan of cords, but my tv does not have bluetooth. I use it mostly to edit videos, but I have played BFV PS4 with it and it sounds amazing. The charge last a pretty good while and it will turn its self off after a few minutes of no sound to save battery. I use the usb from the tv and it charges the headset just fine.

Because I purchased a monitor without speakers and hooked it up to my PS4 I had to buy a decent headset that allowed for my gameplay and voice chat to come in clearly. For around $40 this is pretty good. Everything comes in crystal clear and the battery life is awesome. I’ve put in 6+ hours straight without a recharge. I haven’t tested anything longer than that so far.

This was a gift for my son. He likes them but feel it should be a USB instead of charging it from the outlet. The quality of sound is great and drowns out the background noise. The fit is good you can adjust band to your size very comfortable.

First ever set of wireless Turtle Beach headsets for me. Easy to set up and comfortable. Coming off using Turtle Beach Stealth 300’s, I can honestly say, they aren’t nearly as loud. They’re decent, but if you’re used to amplified sound, then these are not nearly as loud. Also, the mic monitoring is very low as well. I could barely hear myself and that’s a feature that I love. Hearing yourself so you don’t find yourself shouting, though a feature, was barely audible.
For $100, I was hoping for features equal to the Stealth 300’s or better, but you’re really paying for a decent and durable wireless headset here...I kept them but went back to my wired 300’s for the amplified sound.

These headsets are up to the turtle beach bar. Sound is great with an option to lower/raise audio and mic volume right on the headset(doing so through the options menu gets annoying). The inward folding muffs make the headset come off and go on very easily. Mic also can turn on and off by flipping it up or down which is nice for a quick mute when talking to others in the room. Only gripe is you have to stay on top of charging the headset. Battery life isn't bad. But nothing spectacular. Solid mic for avid to serious gamers
