I have the 500P for the PS4 since 2016 and those are still working solidly (granted, those are the wireless variant of headset) but the headset plug on these broke within a month. I like Turtle Beach and will give them the benefit of the doubt. Contacted Customer Support and will hopefully get a replacement. Thankfully it was purchased on sale for $40 but for a unit that typically sells for $80, that's upsetting.

I am torn about the review, I love the headphones, the sound is clear, they are comfortable, and light, how ever mine broke after bsix months. I have owned several turtle beach headsets and this is the only one that has broken. If on sale get them

Bought this headset because it was on sale for Black Friday and I just got an xbox one and my ps4 headset won’t work with it and so far from my testing the headset sounds great, tried it with a couple games and some music through Spotify on the Xbox and even tried it with Pokémon Sword on my Nintendo switch, it’s clear sounding and the base is good and the mods are clear, it’s not a $200 head set but it’s definitely a $80 one and it’s the same as the stealth 600s but just not wireless but the wire just plugs up to the controller so save yourself some money and just grab the 300s

First pair of over ear headsets... previous pair was cheap, on ear, 1 earpiece and always had trouble connecting and hearing. So keep in mind, that’s what I’m comparing to. First impression... great quality, easy connection and way easier to hear and communicate. Couple things that kinda bothered was the fact it isn’t wireless but it still needs to charge. Also, I did feel it was a bit heavy and made me feel hot while gaming. Overall, great headset! I would recommend

The headphones sound really clear, honestly the only thing I'm not fond of is having to keep them charged. I just wish you could use the headphones and pull of the controller batteries if need be. Battery last a long time though all in all 4.5 rating.

I am enjoying this headset for the cost of it, it does service as a great headset for everyday gaming for game play and chatting with friends. The separate volume for game and voice, it a great feature, which I love, can adjust both volume levels. The headset is comfortable to wear for hours due to I have a big head, I can wear the headset for about 2 or 2 and halfs years before taking a little break.

Sound is fantastic. Great value when $49.99. The cord is annoying cause it gets tangled from time to time. If looking to purchase at full price I would spend a little more for wireless.

I got this headset for my brother and he really likes it. He says other turtle beaches he’s tried before, after wearing for longer periods of time, have hurt his head. But not this one. He wears glasses too and he says they are comfortable and sound great. Im glad I could get him a pair of nicer headphones. I’m sure there are better, more expensive sets out there but this was great to get him seeing as they are comfortable and he can hear all the nuisances in the games he plays

Sound is great. The mute mic feature is amazing. Sits pretty comfortable on the head but it is pretty tight, it might loosen up as time goes on.

So these do the job very well. Is there room for improvement? Of course but then you would be paying $200. They are comfortable and sound is excellent. There is supposed to be 4 sound modes but I can’t really tell the difference between them probably cause I am old and have messed up my hearing with loud music growing up.

This is a really good headset and it won’t blow your wallet away when you purchase it. After buying a few cheaper options from a competitive website that did not work well, I decided to buy a name-brand version. My daughter loves playing video games with her friends. For as much as she uses it, the product had held up really well since purchasing it four months ago. Sound quality is good. Mic-monitor works well, and simply lifting the mic to mute is pretty nice.

The headphones are great, the ear pads are pretty comfortable too. I like the flip mic to mute or unmute feature. One thing I wasn't aware of on first use was is the power button and the need to charge these headphones since they are corded and not wireless.

I use this set for music and for gaming. It has truly elevated my game (PVP games). I also use it when I dont want to annoy my wife with the TV noise, or late at night when people in the house sleep. The sound quality, volume controls, voice feedback, comfort are superb. I would recommend this to friends or family any day. Highly recommend this item.

Great sound and great Mic Monitoring

These sound really good. They're slightly over priced at $80, but the battery life is nearly 30 hours The box says 40 hours, but professional testers came up just short of 30 hours, which is still amazing battery life. Some ask: What's the point of a battery-powered headset if it still has to plug into the controller? The benefit of this is that it gives the headset better, more advanced features such as different EQ presets, and most importantly to me: mic monitoring. If you don't know what this is, it's the ability to hear yourself through the headphone speakers while you're talking. This is so you know how loud you're being. Also, the ear cushions are a comfortable mesh that allows sound to pass inside the ear cushions so that you can hear what's going on around you in your room/environment. Some people don't prefer this, as they want all outside noise to be cancelled out (i.e. Noise-Cancelling Headphones), but I don't prefer this when I'm gaming. I have a pair of Turtle Beach XO Threes for the Xbox One (I believe the equivalent now is the Recon 50), and they are not battery powered. They simply just plug into the controller and have no advanced features and no mic monitoring. I can't hear myself at all when I talk, and I really don't like that. I could be nearly yelling and I probably wouldn't even know it. They do have amazing Noise-cancellation, I can't hear ANYTHING in my room or in the house when using them, but again, that is not what I prefer. They sound good and they were cheaper than the Stealth 300, but it's not what I want for my daily driver when I'm gaming. The price of the Stealth 300 is the only reason I knocked off one star. You can get a slighty cheaper battery-powered headset (Recon 200) which still has mic monitoring, but no EQ presets and half the battery life (about 15 hours). Plus, I've heard they aren't as comfortable as the Stealth 300, as the Stealth 300 uses the same design as the Stealth 600.

Straight to the point I wear glasses and these are the only pair of headset I've been comfortable with. Great battery life when fully charged. Love the 4 presets and the audio quality is high end. Had them for months. Really enjoying them

    Microphone is very poor

The microphone is the big problem. It isn't adjustable in length. Unless you talk loudly there are issues with your voice getting picked up. I get complaints of not being heard at all. Tried all tests to determine if it is my controller. It is not. If I rig an extension to the boom mic or cup it with my hand, my voice is heard. I cant use my hand while playing obviously, and I shouldnt have to rig anything in order for the mic to work. I attached a picture of what I rigged. There are many complaints of this issue online with this headset. In my opinion, a simple fix of that would make this headset really great overall. Headset is great for audio. Great sounds and volume control. Love that the 3.5 plug is straight and not 90 degree angle. For the price point all pros there.

Second set we've bought. Good sound, first set did break after a year of hard use, but they were good enough quality we wanted the same ones. Good sound quality, fit well. Some others don't seem to be as good.

It was a decent gaming headset, but you have to make sure it is fully charged before use. It may indicate charged, but does not work properly unless it is charged all the way to start. Comfortable over the years.
