This review is for the Xbox Turtle Beach 700 Series:
I accidentally bought the PS version and had to take it to my local Best Buy. The rep that did the return made it super easy and quick! I’m sure the same below can be said for the PS version!
Anyway, the 700 Series is excellent. After reading many, many reviews I chose this headset. I really wanted something wireless, with good battery life, lightweight and that fit well with glasses. This headset did not disappoint. I did see some reviews that noted that the headset was “falling apart” which made me opt for the additional coverage they offer. I haven’t had any issues with this. It was worth the piece of mind in my opinion. Better safe than sorry right?
Another thing I love is that you can adjust the settings as you wish through and app you download. My headset updated immediately once connected. I can improve bass, treble or turn on SuperHuman hearing mode. I think the mute and unmute option is amazing. There is no question. If you mistakenly muted or didn’t mute with this headset. There is noting like trying to find a mute button in the dark while gaming is there? lol. The chat volume and game volume are very easily controlled on the left side of the headset.
Oh AND ladies and gentlemen... anything that has Bluetooth Capability works with these headphones. For instance, I will be playing GTA on my Xbox and streaming Amazon Music through my phone. Both of which work simultaneously with this headset!!! I can see this coming in handy for a lot of other reasons as well!
It was HUGE plus that I didn’t expect or see other reviewers mention.
They are comfortable and fit well with or without my glasses for long periods of time. I have yet to have the battery die mid game. I have had zero tech issues (Again, I updated them immediately). The mic quality is great too when talking with my group. They can’t hear background noises like my old beast and say I sound clear. It’s nice to be able to set my controller down and walk to the next room, but still be able to chat with my group.
I never knew how bad I need/wanted wireless headsets in my life, but now I do!
Do yourself a favor and get the 700 series. It was the best fit for me and so worth the money. My husband has tried these out as well and is super jealous. I’ll be buying him his own pair soon too!
Pictures below are of the app and setting. Top right corner shows how much battery life the headset has

I got this as a gift for my boyfriend and he loves them. I had him upgrade from a stealth 500 to a stealth 700. He was instantly in love with them. Its easier to use than the last ones he had, I really like that you only have to put the mic up and down to turn it off and on. I highly recommend this headset to anyone who likes simpler things and wants to drown out the outside noise and just hear the game and people talking. And it matches his black and blue gaming chair I got for him as well.

Since bought these headphones, I ended up with audio problems. I followed the installation guides, I did the firmware update but I still having problems with audio while I play the PS4. Also the bluetooth does work with my cell phone S9, but its even worse. When I connect it the audio is breaking up worse than ps4 and it is impossible to use it. I have contacted support from the webpage and after 2 weeks nobody has contacted me. They do not have any support phone number. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT BUY

Perfect Holiday Gift for My Gamer!

The Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gaming Headset for PS4 and PS4 Pro was the perfect addition to my holiday shopping list for my 16 year old son. He is a hardcore gamer, and shopping for him is always hard, but not this year. His old headset broke, and when I went looking for a new one, this was at the top of my list. For the price, you really can't beat the value this headset provides.
The complete surround sound is incredibly. I tried it after he asked me too, and it really sounds like you are right there in the middle of the game. These are also great for those who wear glasses like me, as the have a special fit just for people who wear glasses. This made them super comfortable!
If you are looking for a reasonably priced headset that gives you the same benefits and quality of some of the more expensive options, this is a great choice.

Do not squish our ears and sound great

I received these headphones to review. My boys tried the headphones and their first comment was that they do not squish their ears. We have tried many different ones and they never work out because they are so uncomfortable on their ears. Next, they said the sound is great and they liked that they could adjust the sound between the chat and the game. I liked that I no longer had to listen to their video game. They are still using them so that is definitely a plus! While I received the headphones for review, I'm going to be purchasing another pair so my boys do not have to share. The price is too good to pass up.

The headphones sound great with lots of bass, mids are decent and the 7.1 surround does a very good job in identifying where enemies are in games like Call of Duty.
The negatives: These headphones definitely don't get 10-12 hours out of one battery charge. I would say more like 5-6 hours. You are able to plug them in and still use them as if they were fully charged, so no issue there.
Secondly, the "Super Human Hearing" feature is total crapola. It sounds as if you are in a tin can with no bass and terrible sound quality, so forget about that aspect of these. However, as I said, you don't really need the Super Human Hearing gimmick because they sound great without it.
Make sure you download the Turtle Beach Audio Hub app on your phone and PC because it makes it easy to make changes on the fly.
I definitely recommend these at the price of $119 which I paid for them!

Fantastic Gaming Headset at a GREAT price!

The reviewer has been compensated in the form of a Best Buy Gift Card and/or received the product/service at a reduced price or for free. I have two boys. As I'm sure most of moms of siblings can attest, they don't exactly always see eye-to-eye on ... well ... anything really. Until I brought the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gaming Headset into the picture. After we got thru the initial outburst of excitement, the teenager and his younger counterpart actually agreed on something. This is the absolute best headset they have ever used - their words!

My son has the Turtle Beach 600 and it is amazing! I figured the 700 would be an upgrade so i bought it. The sound quality is amazing! Love the noise cancelling and the bluetooth capability. The only thing i notice between the 600 and the 700 is that the 700 gets cut off alot and the battery life of the 600Is better than the 700. I’m almost at the point of returning it for a 600. If there is any fix for this, then I would give it a 5 star.

For a while, I was using cheap headsets and the sound quality was OK to me but what bothered me the most was the microphone. If you so much as raise your voice a little, you screeched. This was annoying to my friends or even for re-watching recorded videos. I went on a hunt for a new headset. I wanted a wireless one. I wanted to be truly free of wires, even between my controller and my head. I tried the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 first. The mic quality was amazing but the first set I got would unpair after a day or two and it was annoying to having to pair it over and over again. I tried updating the firmware but it kept happening. I returned the headset and got Sony's Platinum wireless headphones. The headphones worked great, the sound quality is amazing but the microphone was an integrated one which meant it was nowhere near my face. This made me sound like I was talking through a tube. The volume control between the game and the voice chat was a toggle than would decrease one volume and increase the other. There was no way to adjust it to your liking. After less than a week I returned it and gave the Stealth 700 another shot. This time, I knew I got a good one because it wouldn't unpair itself after a week.
Pros:
- Excellent Microphone quality
- Surround sound supported thanks to Optical cable
- Bluetooth connectivity to Phone for calls and music
- 2 volume dials for controlling Game sound and voice chat
- Additional volume control for Bluetooth sound through the phone's volume slider.
- Battery last ~10 hours before needing a charge, even with Bluetooth on
- Can be used while charging
- Has a headphone jack for using it wired
- Can be used on PC and Nintendo Switch as well
- Comfy to use with glasses on
Cons:
- Charging cable too short
- Aux cable not included for wired use
- Superhuman hearing option not that great of a feature
- Headset has stuttering and chopping sound issues that need the receiver to be unplugged and plugged back in to fix
- Buzzing sound when using it while charging
- Range of headset is a bit short
- Works with PC but sound cuts off way more often. It's not an issue with the Switch
- Calls over Bluetooth will sometime break and make the person on the other end sound like a demon spawn
- Quality could be better, the padding under the headband is peeling off from the adhesive and other friends have told me the same about theirs
I've owned the headphones since March of 2018 and 2 days ago, my microphone broke off but not entirely because it was hanging by the wire. I could still pivot the mic up and down to mute/unmute but it was annoying. Luckily I bought a 2 year protection plan so all I did was bring it back to the store and either exchange it for the same model or get a credit to use on another headset. I went with a Stealth 700 again. Despite the cons, it is still the best wireless surround sound headphones with a good microphone quality that is available for the PS4. The Bluetooth is a nice bonus. Other surround sound headphones that also support PC often only fully work with PC. You only get Stereo sound on PS4. Also, if you plan on picking up the Stealth 600 over the 700 because you don't need the Bluetooth, please note that the volume control cannot be separated on the 600. The second dial on those headphones is strictly for controlling Microphone feedback.

Everything about this headset blew me away. I tested out the Stealth 700 by hopping into a VR game of Resident Evil 7 and was completely immersed. If you've got a PSVR headset, I highly recommend rounding out the experience with the Stealth 700. It's jaw-droppingly cool.

Great headset for pinpointing your enemies positions in FPS Mulitplayer games... I always have trusted Turtle Beach headphones for positional audio in competitive gaming.
Only 2 cons is that I noticed the range isn't as good as previous headsets, I walk away to my bathroom which is only about 20 feet away and I start hearing the signal distort and crack... So I can't carry out a conversation if I walk away too far my PS4.
2nd Con is that these are all plastic...
Unfortunately, it looks like this is the norm now with turtle beach... My previous pair eventually broke, but I will say they did last me about 3 years before the headband broke.
So If you buy these you'll be happy with the audio, just take care of them and they should last a long time.

Not to bad. Comfortable with great sound. I like that you can play music off your phone or bluetooth devise while playing the PS4 and hearing game stuff. have only cut out a couple of times but i think it was just the connection between the transmitter.

It has great sound and feels comfortable. Con is that they don't have a battery indicator. So when you turn it on you will not know the charge is until it says battery low...i am used to headset saying the percentage the battery is at when you turn it on.. but not this one. That is my one concern. Otherwise I love it!!!

Bought these after my Astro A50’s bit the dust. These headphones are MUCH cheaper, but give great sound quality. The Astro A50s did have better sound, but I am VERY happy with the sound of these Turtle Beaches at this price range.
I actually prefer this headset over the Astros. They are much lighter and more comfortable to wear for long periods of time.
An added bonus to this headset if the Bluetooth functionality. It’s VERY easy to pair Bluetooth from your phone, tablet, or computer to play music or watch streams. If paired to your phone, you can easily answer calls while still hearing all of your gaming audio. That is VERY cool.
Overall these seems like a very sturdy headset. It seems great all around! I would recommend!

These are good value for the price but the bass isn't the best and Super Human hearing kind of annoys me. It just doesn't give a good spatial awareness. The headset is comfortable for the most part but the headband is made of plastic and there isn't much give to it, so it feels like it's going to break often. I don't use the mic too often but when I have there have been no complaints. The flip feature is nice.
They're supposed to last 15 hours but there are times where I feel they don't last that long at all. Overall they do what they should though

This is my second Turtle Beach Stealth 700. The first one I had was unpairing itself from the receiver every day so I returned it and bought a Platinum Headset from Sony. That was a mistake and I now am back to Turtle Beach with a second Stealth 700 and it is doing much better.
I don't think there are that many wireless PS4 headset out there that will give you surround sound, a good quality mic and an easy way to adjust the volume between the game and voice chat. Setup is simple and there are instructions on how to properly connect the receiver and the optical cable in order to separate the game sound and voice chat. I mentioned above that I tried the PS4 Platinum headset and the volume control on that one was not great at all. It was a toggle that would increase the volume of one sound and decrease the other. You couldn't fine tune it and adjust it as accurately as you can when you have two separate volume knobs (not digital buttons) like you do on the Turtle beach. When you play games like Rainbow 6, being able to focus on the game sound only is a great feature.
Battery life is great. I can go for about 10 hours before needing a charge, and that's with the Bluetooth on. Speaking of which, that is a nice plus. I can answer calls right on my headset and it will mute the mic for the others in the game. You can also play your music and videos through the headset. The volume for the phone is controlled on the phone itself, giving you the ability to control the volume of 3 source separately. The phone app is also good for changing the settings to the headset, like how loud the voice announcer guy is when he says "Headset On" and "Bluetooth On".
I don't think the superhuman hearing is that useful. You sacrifice a lot in order to hear everything louder, which isn't a good thing in most games. The headset will also sometimes get really choppy. I've once had the sound cut out completely for a few seconds before working again. I don't know what causes it but it hasn't been happening enough for me to return it again.
This is the best wireless headset you can get on PS4 with a good quality microphone, separated volume control and Bluetooth for connecting to your phone. I definitely recommend it over Sony's own headset.
