Tweezerman is (I think) a relatively new company specializing in high end manicuring devices, notably, tweezers. (and other items). But they have recently made a baby manicure set that is worth trying if you have little ones.
If you’ve ever cut a baby/toddler’s nails, you know it can be a harrowing process. Kids won’t sit still, they have tiny fingers and toes that require precision, and heaven forbid if you hit skin, they scream. And don’t get me started on cheap clippers. Baby’s nails are extremely thin and if you don’t have a good sharp clipper, it can make the process more cumbersome.
Bottomline is that baby manicuring is something that is important and doesn’t get enough attention. The Tweezerman clippers are something you didn’t know you needed. The baby clippers are large and sturdy and frankly, well put together. The top hinge when in use doesn’t swivel to the side, and it’s large enough to fit comfortably in your hand. The blades are sharp and make precise cuts. There’s also little overlap in the blades. What I mean by that, traditional clippers can go underneath the nail and if you’re not careful can push on that sensitive part of the skin under a kiddo’s nails. The Tweezerman version has plastic protecting the blade from going underneath the blade. What’s that mean? It ensures you won’t be jamming the bottom of the clipper blade too far underneath the kiddo’s nail. This works both ways, longer nails of say, a 5 year old, might require an extra snip, but it’s worth the trade off because my boys no longer complain that “it hurts” when I clip their nails.
And the file is thick and sturdy and really helps eliminate the jagged edges of baby nails (which can get surprisingly sharp).I didn’t used to file my kids’ nails, as clipping them was torturous enough for me and my kids, but filing them down smooth to remove sharp edges is painless and something I wish I did sooner.
Bottomline is that it’s a good purchase. It’s a little pricey, sure, but they work extremely well.

You never think about baby's scratching themselves until one terrible morning you go to fetch them from the crib and find scratches on the face.
You quickly realize you have to do something, you get out the adult clippers, you've probably been using for years only to realize the size mis-match.
Tweezerman must have heard the plea from new parents, there has to be a better way. And they must have give it some real thought.
The clipper is obviously downsized to baby size, but more importantly the base is much larger and fits in an adults hands comfortably.
The this big bulb on the bottom is just what is needed. The clippers are sharp, but built so you can sort of see what your doing.
They are truly baby sized, but made to fit in a parents hands. The curve of the clipper is much tighter than on adult clippers.
And including a nail file it the right move, even after trimming there are still sharp edges you will want to knock down with the nail file.
I did learn something else, it's impossible to take a selfie showing a baby's nails while trying to trim them at the same time,
there is no way, alone, to hold the squirming baby, playing with it's feet and nails to push the shutter button on your phone and get a clear shot, I gave up after many failures.
But these Tweezerman Baby clippers are a 100% winner. The perfect tool for the job.

Using them on my daughter, she likes them. They are very easy to use to cut her fingernails, however, they fall out of the holder pretty easily which is annoying. Decent clippers for kids, but could be better the holder was more of a snap-in.

These clippers work great for small and squirmy hands. I have a toddler that will not stay still - the large base is great for added control while working on a moving target. The clippers are sharp and close tightly making for smooth cuts. A nail file with a cute design is also include (one side is really soft and the other is only slightly more abrasive). This is a useful combination and I would buy another set of these in the future (we seem to lose a pair of clippers every 3 months or so).

I like the tweezerman brand, which is why I bought it. Though I like the Safety 1st one that I bought for my child more, because it has a light on it. The light really helps with the squirmy ones, who will not let you cut their nails.

Best nail care for baby!

This is absolutely the one “can’t live without” baby product we’ve come across and we’ve tried a lot of baby gadgets. Cutting fingernails was so stressful for us and the kid (when he was a little baby), even now - my wife hesitate to do it every time! Even with our best efforts and both helping we still got pinched fingers every time. NOT with Tweezerman! You don’t even have to worry about pinching anymore. You just press them up against the finger and it works great. Do yourself a favor and don't buy any other nail clipper or file. It takes a second to figure out how it works, but just take a minute to practice on your own nail if you are worried, so you get it. It'll be worth it, and you won't ever worry about snipping your baby's fingers anymore.
If you have a child user the age of 10 or under, buy these. We have a 5 year old and are expecting another one in October. We are so glad we got this. They are absolutely amazing and so easy to use. In short, these are what you need unless you have magic or your baby is only masquerading as a human. I highly recommend them for a new parent!

This is a very easy to hold baby nail clipper. It was easier to cut my little nephew's nails vs the metal clippers we had. The file was really soft and did not feel like I was hurting him. Would definitely purchase again.

A decent nail/file set

The Tweezerman nail clipper and file come in a cute package/exterior and perform on par with standard nail and file sets. The bulky case/handle attachment for the nail clipper can be a pro and a con depending on the situation. It is large, but that bodes well for locating it in a purse or bag and using it – very easy on the larger hands. I found it to do a decent job cutting nails, with nearly every cut clean and concise. The emery board has 2 different sides, one more coarse than the other. It gives you just what’s needed to soften and edge and smooth out rough spots.
The only negative, and it’s slight, is if you are a fan of the handle attachment for the nail clipper, it slides off a little too easily at times. Other than that, the set performs well and is very portable.

This little tweezer set makes it easy for my wife to take care of our daughters’ little finger and toenails. She is 4 years old, and these are a little small for her since they are designed for the smallest of digits out there. They work just as well on her so you can get these when your baby is an infant, and it will still work when they are toddlers. They are nice and sharp and have a big handle that is easy to use, and the file works well to get those nails nice and smooth so they won’t snag on anything. Simple, easy and effective and I recommend this to my friends who are all having babies now.
