The best cell phone holder/charger I've found

I am using this product with an iPhone XS. I've used this for 2-3 weeks with absolutely no complaints. I've never been satisfied with any vent-mounted cell phone holder I've bought, because at the most inopportune time during driving, the holder, and my cell phone, would fall onto the floor if I hit a hard bump in the road. As an engineer, I will say that this was actually, pretty thoughtfully designed. I drive a lot (~22k miles/year), so it's been tested by me.
PROS: There is a small lever on the bottom of the holder, where the two 'jaws' (the things that pinch / grasp the vents); it has two settings (tight, tighter), for flexibility for the thickness of the vent louvers. They DO work REALLY well. The 'gravity-drop' design is where the cell phone rests on the bottom, and its weight (by virtue of its mechanism) causes the 'arms' on the left and right hand sides of the holder to move inward. It sounds complicated, but it does hold the cell phone securely in the charger/holder (not excessively tight though), so it does not move too much while driving (even on bumpy roads). Since it doesn't move much while you drive, it stays in place, and it continuously charges your cell phone (my screen doesn't come on and go off constantly, as the phone bounces in the holder). There is a small, inconspicuous LED light on the right-hand side, to indicate that electricity is being supplied to the charger. The design is sleek / slim, so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb on your dashboard. There is a pivot point or joint, that allows you to angle the holder/charger as you wish, without compromising how tightly it is holding onto the vent louver.
CONS: There really aren't any. The lack of these are not necessarily 'negatives'; more like nice-to-haves: I'm not certain if there is a way to tighten the pivot/joint, but it should have one just in case. I saw a vent mounted charger that had a small flip-down support, so it could be placed against the dash molding if needed.

I have a side gig where I deliver groceries. And I liked the feature that it would charge my phone wirelessly and it would be easy to pull in and out of the car well I do deliveries. The problem was that the clip that connected it to the air vent broke pretty quick. Maybe it lasted a month.

Only giving it 3 stars because the product does what it says it is going to do. It does the wireless charging with ease. Only reason this product is not a 4 or 5 star is because everytime you go over or hit a bump in the road your phone will either angle downwards so it becomes hard to see, or it becomes disconnected from the vent, Had to return item because it couldn't stay in vent for longer than a 10 minute drive.

Great concept, but hard to keep connected to vent

I love the concept of a wireless charger in my car, but this one has a couple of inherent issues that keep me from loving it for $49.
1. The clasp mechanism that connects the unit to the air vent does not stay tight, so when I take a curve or a quick stop in the car it is a very good bet that the unit is going to come off from the vent. I have been lucky that there has been no phone damage yet, but I am worried every time I have to stop.
2. Very slow charging. I can live with this, but a standard 1 hour commute with my iPhone X in the device, running Waze throughout, I rarely gain any battery life, it just keeps it wherever it was when I started (e.g. when my drive starts at 60% battery and I use Waze for an hour with the phone plugged in, I end the drive right around 60% battery). Its better than the charge going down, but a tough concession for $49.

I liked this holder and the fact that it can charge without a need of a cord. The issue I found is that it’s not big enough to hold my otter box case or any case that is beyond the slim line. With that said, even some of my cases that have enabled me to charge my phone wirelessly, with this holder, you have to go bare with your phone to charge pretty much.
So not a bad product and convenient, just depends on whether you want a case to go with your phone or not. If not, then this is a good pick for your needs. Hence the 4 star rating .

The wireless charging is really cool but the wire that connects to the charger doesn’t connect very securely. Phones with cases don’t fit snugly in the holder.

Product does not stay in place properly and moves. My phone has fallen out of the mount several times when going around corners and the bottom bracket has loosened itself and the phone has fallen out. I have an IPhone X, without an otterbox, so I’m not sure how a heavier case would even be held up for more than a day. The wireless charging works great, however, as long as you have the bracket in the correct position and the phone doesn’t fall out, or the entire unit fall out of the vent like has been happening to me :)

I like the design, but I have two challenges with it. 1) I have a Samsung Note 8 which is a bigger phone. It slide down even when I position it mid way in the holder so thankfully my dash holds it where it ends up sliding to 2) Because of my car vents being more rectangular in shape it doesn't sit as well as in my husbands car that has several air vent slots.

Love being able to charge wirelessly in the car, but this item is far from perfect. When phone is in the cradle, the weight from the phone makes the unit droop down. Hard to get avery solid connection to the vent.

The phone holder works but it's somewhat flimsy and made of very cheap plastic. For $50 I expected something a bit more substantial. Let's see how long its lasts.

I like the fact that this product charges and keeps my phone upright, but it does not work in my SUV vents. It is too heavy. I ended up using it in my work van and it has a place where it leans against something to help support it.

Wanted to try this for my new phone, which has the wireless charge capability. Had it for a little over a year and it's worked quite well. Have to adjust the bottom bracket from time to time but that's easy enough. It does charge the phone, but I recommend you replace the USB lighter adapter that comes with the Tzumi with a higher powered model. I did, and can use the phone via Bluetooth, play music, and run Waze AND have the phone stay charged.

Overall a good product. It would be better if the arms adjusted for thicker cases, and if it had an option for flip cases. The vent mount was junk, I had to use an old dash mount to get it to stay up.

When I put my new IPhone XS Max in it, there was very little stability. My vents are horizontal and wouldn’t hold still. It may work fine for others though. It did fit snuggly in holder though.

Great replacement for my beloved Mophie

I had the magnetic Mophie Qi Charging case when I had my iPhone 7 Plus, and I’ve missed it ever since upgrading to the iPhone X (Mophie never released a case for it) Now I have the iPhone XS Max, and I missed how easy it was to magnetically “clip” my phone to the vent mount when I got in and out of my car. With this little gem, I can simply slide my iPhone XS Max into this mount when I get in my car (2016 Dodge Charger) and it starts wirelessly charging my phone. Even with my Platinum Bamboo case on. Has the same, super strong, rubber feet, vent mount as the Mophie mount had that not only holds strong, but doesn’t tear up your vent at all. I’ve had this mount for over a month now and my phone has never stopped charging or slipped out unexpectedly. Seems to charge just as fast as any of my chargers, and my phone never gives me any garbage about it not being an “apple product” thankfully. A few of my friends have bought these after seeing how simple and cheap they are and how well they work!

I love it - I can charge my phone without a wire - sits still and doesn't fall between the seats anymore. Works great when I'm on the road since I do have multiple Zoom calls a day and I don't have to hold the phone while driving.

It is awesome, but I wish it was just a bit bigger. It’s a bit of a struggle to get my iphone xs Max with a csse in it. It’s very snug, and a chore to put in or take out. And also, i wish it was stornger, it barely holds my heavy phone in place especially when the road is bumpy.

My iPhone X has wireless charging but I was using a magnetic holder that blocked the charger signal. So I converted to this and it works just as advertised. Only drawback is the USB end of the cable seems loose and sometimes disconnects which stops the charge.

This is a great deal... The chargers comes with all the adaptors and can be placed in different types of air vents. The only downside is that the lower part is a little small and sometimes is hard to fit the phone. Other than that, great charger.
