This is a great alternative to encasing your surface book. I can still use this with the "tablet" reversed and flattened. This is not like buying armor for your surface book so just remember this is for accidental drops, not like a armor case. Good value for the price and great for keeping things protected commuting.

I wanted a sturdy case for my Surface Book 2. My husband uses these on his computers in ambulances and high recommended them. Unfortunately, the rubber cord that secures the top portion of the case broke the first time I tried to put it on. According to him, this was extremely strange and has never happened with any of the cases he has used- and they have some rough lives. I contacted UAG and I am waiting for a new replacement case. It would be nice if the case could have a handle, like the cases for Surface tablets. I wasn't too pleased with the aesthetics, however I added a Surface skin and it looks much better. I am most looking forward to the durability of this UAG case.

Perfect fit looks great and provides good protection

I really like the UAG products. This one has a clear back, which is cool, so I can finally put my Marvel cling on. It is a snug fit around the tablet part of the Surface Book, but around the keyboard, not so much. Both front corners are somewhat flappy. You do have to hold the base cover back from the keyboard dock in order to reattach to the tablet to it. Not so much of a complaint, just something that keeps it from being a single handed operation and quick. Overall, it is lightweight and provides a very convenient clip for the pen and access to all the ports.

This protective cover is the best looking one and best protection available for the Surface Book 2 that I have found. The fit is great and it does not interfere with the configuration changes of the computer. It is very comfortable and allows a good grip and handling without being bulky.

Bought this for my surface book. Fit is good and it looks really cool however: 1. It's fairly expensive for what it is but if you're spending 2k for a notebook, what's an extra 80 bucks? 2. I don't like the elastic band/string that is used to hold the cover to the hinge part of the pc. I understand it's a funky design but I would like to see that redone. Definitely a weak point. Otherwise, still a good cover.

We have these for our field managers. Each laptop gets one of these cases and they work great. the pen holder is not flimsy. This case does not protect the laptop from hitting the back of the laptop very well. It mostly protects the edges.

I was worried this case would be bulky or block some of the computer ports but it works great for my surface book 2 after removing the bumpers inside. I have had no problems with it overheating while doing schoolwork or playing the sims 4.

When I saw that a tough case was available for the surface book pro I immediately bought one. Already have dropped and it functioned as stated. A must have!

Have received several compliments on this case. Not only does it do what it is intended to do very well (protect a fairly expensive device from getting damaged) but it also looks very professional/sharp.

I purchased this the same day I got my surface book 2 since I'm a contractor and needed decent protection. It was a little tricky to install but once that was done it definitely gives a good sense of protection. The only caveat is that it does not offer protection to the bottom of the screen in "tablet" mode. Another thing to pint out is that the processor is directly located where the Microsoft logo is on the back of the screen and uses that area as part of the heat sink. I'm worried that the case will trap extra heat in that area but well see long term how it does.

This laptop case is very easy to install ion my Microsoft Surface Laptop. The only complaint is that it is a bit pricey.

Adds weight and makes the laptop bulky. I am not too happy about that but it will protect and fits well.

This is NOT a locking case , it’s secure in the fact that I feel comfortable in knowing that my computer is properly protected and it’s weight is minimal while I get all the needed protection along with a great stylus pen holder

This rugged exterior is great for protecting the outside of the product for accidental toughness and from everyday scratches that might occur.

Bought this for Surface Book to protect it. The rubber band that holds the hinged part together snapped apart (broke) before I even turned the computer on for the 1st time! It works ok even without the rubber band. The rest of it fits the laptop like a glove. I think this is expensive for just "plastic" but it was all Best Buy had to offer. Better than "nothing". It should protect it well from scuffs from other objects when carting it in shoulder bag with power cable, external hard drives, mouse, etc.

I put off buying this for nearly a year. Was asked to travel to Puerto Rico in a disaster area. It took up a little more room in my bag but was worth the loss as not a scratch was made on my Surface Book 2.

I wish I didn't need a case, but I know my Surface 2 will get banged up without one -this seems to do the job with minimum downside.

Definitely looks good, in order for it to fit my surface book 2 I had to remove the rubber inserts, Nice solid case though.
