The UE Boom Bluetooth speaker sounds great and is easy to setup. The iPhone app is awesome and gives super control over the features. The battery lasts forever!

Sounds great and loud. Used in factory with loud machines. This is my second one from Best buy due to a bad battery on the first one. Both the one I have now and the previous one had a max battery life of 3 hours. I had a Jbl charge 2 good sound and great battery life 10+ hours battery life without fail( I know because I work 10 hours a day and use it the whole time). So in conclusion it looks like for this speaker the trade off is great sound and less than good battery life in comparison. As far as recommending, yes for sound and no for battery life. I hope, if there are any future updates(firmware) that this can be resolved. That is why four stars and not five.

Amazing sound, awesome color, Bluetooth, portable, can be paired with another BOOM. It comes with a ring that allows it to be hung. Great for outdoor use!!!!!

Most Bluetooth speakers can produce high end frequencies just fine. But when it comes to rich mids and good low-end sound, they are usually lacking. The UE Boom really delivers good frequency response across all. It has a wonderful 360 degree sound that fills the room. I have a friend who has one and he would use it to play songs we were learning for our praise team. There was enough low-end on the speaker to allow me to hear the bass part without needing headphones. That's why I bought one! Oh, one problem you may have is that people may ask you to turn it down! :-)

The UE Boom bluetooth speaker is one of the best portable speakers out in the market today. Speaker can get quite loud is desired, the audio integrity is retained with little to no distortion when placed on high. The bass is lacking when listing to certain types of music. Overall great buy.

A friend of mine has this exact same speaker. She used it weekly at a group we were both attending. I was highly impressed with the sound quality and how simple it was to use. My 35 y/o daughter had told me she was wanting a wireless speaker. So I bought this for her as a Christmas gift. I got a SUPER DEAL online Black Friday. I got this speaker for 1/2 price!! I was so excited!! I had it shipped directly to my daughter in Colorado. She LOVES it!! She said she was really impressed with the sound for as little as the speaker size is. Great quality product!!

Great little speaker. Easy to carry around and set out by the pool. Bass loud enough but not too loud so it disturbs neighbors. Easy to pair with phone.

I have tried them all.. UE Boom is the best of the best. For battery life and sound. This thing is waterproof too.. It's a no brainier ROCK ON .

I'm replacing a way-old iHome in my kitchen. I was so tired of taking off my phone case & plugging my phone into a tiny cable to hear the music. Decided to splurge on this, since Best Buy had them on sale & I had some rewards to spend. LOVE IT! I love that I can control everything from an app on my phone - even power it on and off - and that I can still carry the phone around with me to do other things while the music is playing. It's got great sound & it's small, so it just fits neatly into a corner on my cabinet & doesn't look out of place.

It has good range on the bluetooth and it can get really loud before the audio starts distorting. Sounds great to me and battery life is great.

Bought this for my father as a present and he loved it. The sound is great and you can hear it from a great distance . He uses this speaker when he showers and is cleaning out the backyard. He previously owned a small 2.0 speaker system and would constantly need to plug to electricity . Now he can listen to music without leaving his phone near the 3.5 headphone jack . This speaker has been making me want to purchase a UE Boom for myself.

I bought this speaker primarily to use at work but also to take along on vacations (great for in the car or hotel). I did extensive research on the available options and the two standout options for a portable (small enough to toss in a backpack) speaker with decent sound quality were the UE Boom and the Bose Soundlink Mini. The Bose clearly had better sound quality (mainly in louder/punchier bass) but did not seem as durable and was lacking the ability to charge via USB. This last point was a dealbreaker; I did not want to need to carry another power adapter at all times. I went with the UE Boom and knew I was paying more than I needed if sound quality was the only thing I needed. The build quality on the UE Boom really is fantastic and the device is well designed. It's stable standing up on either edge (which is great so you can charge it while listening) and has a nice solid feel. It's somewhat heavy but that's to be expected from the battery that's packed inside. Setting up the UE Boom was a breeze, just power it on, hold the pairing button and pick it from whatever device you want it to play from. One thing that's really great is that the UE Boom has a separate volume control from your device which makes it easy to fine-tune the volume across a number of devices (something that is difficult with a number of other Bluetooth speakers and headsets). Battery life has been fantastic, I listen for a few hours a few days a week and generally just plug it in overnight once a week. Sound quality is good, but you could probably find something that sounds about the same for a bit less money. Highs and mids are clear but bass is sorely lacking. I'm not a basshead by any means but even with classical and especially jazz you will notice that there's not much Bass. It never sounds bad though, and is perfectly acceptable for a portable unit. The UE Boom is very forgiving when it comes to placement within a room; it sounds fine no matter whether it's in a corner or the center of a room. If you're looking for the best possible sound quality among speakers in this category go with the Bose Soundlink Mini. If you are fine with "good-enough" sound and want something more durable and portable (since you can charge with any standard micro-USB cable) go with the UE Boom.

Easy to take with you when you need a speaker with great sound and easy to use. It stays charged for a long time. The blue tooth is easy to connect.

I was determined to purchase a Bluetooth speaker and after trying two of the Bose speakers in this price range I believe this one is the better of the three. This speaker is very comparable in sound to the Bose mini and infact gets louder than the Bose with minimal distortion at louder volumes. I also enjoy that you can pair two of these speakers to create a surround sound. A feature that's not available on the Bose speakers I tested.

Love this speaker. Good battery life and great sound. Bluetooth sync is simple and fast. Your phone can be up to 25 feet away. Good range.

I bought a pair of Ultimate Ears Boom portable Bluetooth speakers. They were the only portable Bluetooth speakers with 360 degrees of sound. It is a slight pain in the butt to get them to pair up, but if you download the UE app, they automatically will pair up each time you turn them on point forward. I wish they had a little more bass, but overall their sound is quite loud and excellent given their small size. They are very rugged and can take a fairly good beating indoors or outdoors. The price is a little steep at $200.00 per speaker. Luckily, I found them on sale and got an even bigger discount when I bought them with a Samsung 12.2 Note. All-in-all I am happy with them. You can pair a UE Boom with one of the new UE Mega Boom speakers, which are even more rugged.

This speaker is easy to set up and use. It has a lot of bass and sounds great! It's very loud and seems to be very durable so far!

Ok let me say that I have sold and installed all forms of audio for over 25 years. So I know a thing or two a bought good sound. After listening to every small blue tooth speaker out there for over 3 months this unit has the best well rounded sound out there for the money. Its simple and works flawless weather paired with my smart phone or my ipod. I have been cranking it for over a week on the first charge and its not done yet. Plus it takes up no more room than a tall boy and fills and entire room with sweet sound.

We've had our first UE Boom for about a year now. It's great out on the patio, near the pool. We appreciate the water/weather resistance of the speaker and keep it hanging from the hook under the patio cover. It delivers great sound for it's size and the sound is fine, even when we take it indoors. We were able to get this second one when it was on sale and have them set up to deliver their sound in stereo now. Great, inexpensive (when purchased on sale), flexible set up for indoors or out.

Awesome sound, easy to use, light weight, small package and very easy to transport. Great use inside and perfect for outdoors.
