This game is greatly improved from last years game in almost every aspect. Only thing I am disappointed in is that I am terrible and I think its a little to hard to master now but maybe I just need to practice up.

This is by far the best fighting game made! The graphics are excellent, there are to many improvements to list from the 2009 game! Submissions are a lot harder to pull off! This is a very addicting game!

I have been waiting for this game since they announced the release last May, and was a BIG fan of UFC 09. They added some new modes that are fun like event mode where you play out an actual UFC event .Title defense mode is good if you are looking to kill some time or just want to be “undisputed champ”. If you are buying it to play offline and thats all you plan to do you will not be dissappointed because the game looks great and has a deep combat system. Online is where this game is best though, I would have bought the game if that was the only feature. If you are however buying it to play online I would wait to see if these lag/connection issues are fixed.

To start of, I'm a huge MMA fan and this game really does live up to it's hype, it is as real as it gets. I'll break the review up in separate parts for better clarity.
I. The Stand up: The stand up game has been completely redid this year, the punches feel more fluid and brutal when they land. They also added a new sway system, similar to the Fight Night series. The sway adds so much dept into the stand up and makes it more believable, trust me, it feels so good to duck forward (R1+R ->) while your opponent throws a huge bomb, then landing a overhand right
straight on the chin, knocking him out. Speaking of Knockouts, the animation looks much smoother than last year's and there are no more "phantom punches".
II. The Clinch: The clinch has also been redone this year, now it uses the same control as the ground game and there is more things you can do. This years game has added a new weapon to utilize against your opponent, the cage. Mixing a dominant clinch like the Muay Thai clinch, with the cage, is a very good way to put the other fighter to sleep. There are also many trips, slams, takedowns and moves you can use.
III. The Ground Game: THQ added loads of submissions and positions, also they added Posturing while in those positions. Posturing up adds more power into your punches, but it also makes it easier for the guy on the bottom to escape. Just like last year's game there are reversals. The ground game feels realistic, unlike 09, where there were generic positions and the fighters would just stand still if you where not punching.
IV. Online: The online isn't really stable and it's laggy, but it's early to count this as a bad part of the game, there will be patches to fix it. There are also "fight camps" where you and your friends can join to train and help each other master the game.
V. The Fighers: Where to start... Well there are over a 100 fighters in the game, and each of them has their own moveset similar to their real life counterpart. Also each fighter looks like, moves, and stands like the real thing.
And more or less uses the same tactics as the real fighter.
VI. The Modes: this is really where the game shines, simply because there is so much to do! Title Mode, Title defense Mode, Ultimate fights mode, Career Mode and many many more. Another thing that really shook me was the PPV mode, where you can create your own pay-per view modes and also download upcoming ones. Also all of these modes are polished and non of them are there just "to be there".
Conclusion: This truly is a great game and I'm sure you'll be spending countless hours on it, MMA fan or not.

This game has greatly improved, with the new add Tournament, PPV, Fight Camps, cage work, new striking and sway. The graphics are awesome, the game is more fluid and the animation is great. Its just hard to submit someone, but then again they add submission switch on certain fighters. But i give this game 10/10. Thank you for listening the UFC Undisputed Community and giving us an early demo release. Great job THQ,

I love playing this game with my son but against the CPU or in career mode the SUBMISSIONS are IMPOSSIBLE to pull off! Everytime I play the computer I am submitted almost as soon as it goes to the ground but when I try to pull off the submission against the CPU I am denied, matter of fact you cant even get a subbmission in the tutorial!
Online it is very hard to get into a match, "very slow to get matched with an opponent" this gets pretty fustrating!
Overall the game is pretty cool. I like everything else about the game and if they could fix these two problems it would be very fun to play but until then I am about ready to sell it or shelf it! I mean the whole reason you play a game like this is to win! or atleast some of the time but you cant win playing the computer when it comes to subbmissions.
I recommend you borrow or rent it before you buy it!!!

I was very happy when I got the game, played a few exhibition matches and noticed the game had improved alot. I I quickly created a fighter and logged on to playstation store, tried to redeem my code and was told it was invalid. Sent THQ an email and was ignored, gave them a call and they tried to tell me I have a poor connection. ent online and founf that many many people have this same problem. I refuse to pay 6.95 extra to play online because my code wont work. THQ make great games but ignore their customers if they have a problemwith it. Other than that, UFC is a good game!

As a huge MMA fan I was pumped up to see all the fighters included in this years game. Even old school guys like Dav Severn!! The ground game is a liittle hard to get the hang of, but once you do it's cool. One thing I would have liked is to be able to play as a current fighter in the Carrer mode instead of having to create a fighter. Overal great game!!

The fighters look more life-like, the audience is more animated, and the ring-card girls don't looked deformed. I'm very impressed by the level of detail that went into each of the game's fighters, especially the tattoos. Mike Goldberg and Joe Rogan do an even better job this year calling the play-by-play action. Last year, the announcing got very repetitive, very quickly.
I have played about 30 fights so far, and I have not found the commentary to be repetitive...yet.
The most notable is the way cuts are handled.
Last year, cuts and swollen eyes just affected your ability to block incoming strikes. This year, they can actually cause the fight to be stopped.
In 2009, the striking styles were fairly generic as you had a handful of different "cookie cutter" ways of striking. This time around, the fighters actually throw strikes they do in real life.
For instance, I have yet to be able to throw a jab or a straight punch while playing as Wanderlei Silva. I'm not saying it's not possible, but I haven't managed to be able to do it yet.

I was a big fan of undisputed 2009 played it until the new 2010 demo came out. Let me tell you this game is the real deal. I have friends who didn't like the first one that much but are addicted to this one!! THQ listened to all of the complaints about last years game and fixed and improved almost every single one of them. Another cool thing about this game is the new fight camp system. YOU CAN ACTUALLY TRAIN ONLINE WITH FRIENDS AND LEARN NEW MOVES!! And if you haven't, you should register at there website. Its free and the features will keep entertained for hours. You can earn points for doing simple polls and stating your opinions on upcoming fights. You can use those points to order things like T-shirts and DVDs ! The website will also let you manage your fight camp and to register for online tournaments! Overall this game is a must have for all sporting game fans and to all fans who just like a fun game. I will recommend this game to all of my friends. Thanks THQ for an great 2009 UFC game and a perfect 2010 UFC game!!

UFC 2010 Review

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
UFC Undisputed 2010 is the sequel to UFC Undisputed 2009. Although it's only been one year, there has been many improvements to the franchise. Some balance issues were addressed, fighters have different movesets, southpaw stance is in, and some other new additions.
Last year's modes were pretty bare bones while this year contains more things to do. One problem is the online where it takes a few minutes to find one match and after the fight, you're back to searching for another match. Although THQ said they are addressing the issue, it has not been fixed as of yet.
There are also some balance issues such as the "Machida Takedown" which has 100% success rate. Even if you grapple block, you will just shrug it off and the user isn't penalized making the move a "No risk, high reward." Also if you are grapple blocking, you are vulnerable to getting clipped and KO'd. Another problem is that the automatic takedown window is too large and there's no automatic sprawl for a well timed sprawl like last year. Takedowns are too easy in this game and the clinch is too hard to get out compared to how easy it is to initiate it. There's also an omoplatta glitch where you can make fights stand up after a takedown, nullifying takedowns.
Besides those balance issues and online issues above, the game is pretty much solid. The fighters don't feel the same like last year and it increased a lot of presentation. The game is very fast paced and enjoyable to both MMA fans and non MMA fans.
