Great quality sound, ease of use is awesome. Only thing I’d say is their app could be better but it’s overall awesome! Great battery life

I was going to buy a different speaker, but when I heard the sound on this speaker and alexa with it. This was the choice to make. Nice bass, real loud and clear.

This portable speaker has a clear crisp sound the volume is wonderful. It’s easy to transport to the beach use in the backyard or anywhere. I’m very happy with this purchase

Works great for a small speaker. Wonderful sound! I used it when I travelled or at my desk. I did end up returning because I bought muy husband one also thinking we could pair these together. You can’t pair multiple megablast together, you can only pair the Boom series of speakers. We changed to those. The App to pair speakers together ca be tempermental though. Still love the sound that these and the boom speakers put out.

This speaker is great, the sound of awesome and it's easy to use Alexa. It keeps a charge for quite a while

The first UE speaker I bought I think it was a dud. Before my 2 week return date was up I was back in the store returning and taking a gamble on purchasing the same exact item again. The first one charged for long periods of time (exceeding the 3 hr charge time to get to 100%) the charge light never went solid which it's supposed tho do when finished. The 16 hours worth of playing time that they sell you on is/was not accurate. Since repurchasing a new speaker this one charges really well, the sound is good however the playing time I'm still wondering why they would advertise that. I only believe you get that much playing time unless you have it set to the lowest sound setting idk, but who wants to listen to muted music? On a full charge I can get about 8 hours of continuous play at a medium volume. Also the app that you have to download in order to set up is a waste of time. It's useless for nothing more than to only set it up. Idk why they'd make you go through all those extra steps is bluetooth so why not just let it connect straight to your device??? You cannot control the music such as changing song or anything, the only other thing you can control from the app are the technical settings for the bluetooth such as equalizer, treble, bass, and etc. Totally disappointed, other speakers I've bought enhanced the user ability of the speaker by using the app this one does not.

Ultimate Ears is known to have made some good speakers. Unfortunately, this was not one of them. Looking through reviews, specifically on Amazon, it seems that a lot of the reviewers were provided with it for free, and had very biased reviews. As someone who’s listened to almost every speaker on the consumer market, I can assure you that this speaker is overpriced and overrated. The default response is very flat and mid based. Underwhelming is the word I would use for this model. Last years Sony XB32 is not as loud, but it is much more balanced, and has an equalizer button. This UE model gets loud, and that’s about it. You can not play, pause, or skip music without your phone, unless it’s on WiFi, and you are using Alexa. Speaking of Alexa, it’s awful, but I might have had a defective model. I found upon extensive testing that it was necessary to speaker VERY loud and be within close proximity. This is the first generation of the Megablast, so I would bet they’ll fix these issues in the MegaBlast 2. Regardless, it’s not a BAD speaker, but the radiators don’t provide much on the low end, and it isn’t deserving of the name, MegaBlast. If you don’t want Alexa, so yourself a favor, save your money and get the MegaBoom 3.

I purchased this speaker while deployed and hung it in the HUMV’s we drove, it got slammed around, dropped, kicked, stepped on and it survived with minimal superficial flaws! The sound is great and the battery life is astounding!!! Only downside I’ve noticed is that at times, the speaker won’t turn on–however, the resolve is to hold down all 4 buttons for 3-5 seconds and everything goes back to working flawlessly and having Alexa on it is just an added bonus in my book.

Great sound and easy portability. Charge lasts a long time and the product is fairly priced.

I absolutely LOVE the sound from these speakers!! I would have given it an Excellent rating, except they always have problems with Bluetooth Pairing at some point. This is the 3rd one I have purchased, even though the last 2 (as well as my boyfriend's and his grandson's) had this same Bluetooth issue, because of the wonderful sound, as well as the fact that it's waterproof.

The sound is not bad, sounds pretty good. Nice features where you can add additional speakers. I used it a few times and did the job. But I notice it doesn’t like to play music from YouTube. Haven’t really looked into why it doesn’t. Not sure if there is a fix. I think it’s a little pricey for this speaker. And maybe a little to technical for someone who’s not into all this technology.

Grest Bluetooth speaker. Grest dound and battery life. Built in Alexa is a plus

We bought this hoping to get the best of both worlds of Amazon echo and Bluetooth speaker. It does great at the latter but only ok at the former. Setup was super easy but had to be done thru an app. I don't believe there was any other way to set it up. As a speaker it sounds incredible. We used it at a Birthday party in a medium to large space and it easily filled the room. Things got a little tinny when we tried to see how loud it would go but in good news it went really loud. Where this speaker fails is as an Echo replacement. There is no way to leave it plugged in to use as a constant Alexa option. The charging port is on the bottom, under a weather proof flap and the cord isn't flexible enough to allow you to flip it back over and stand up regular. It's really meant to be a portable speaker at which it does excel. But then the other issue with using it as a portable speaker for Alexa is that it auto powers off after 15 minutes of no activity or use. So unless you're paying music constantly or asking Alexa to tell you the weather or stock prices every 14.5 minutes, you have to power the thing on to ask Alexa something. Far less than ideal. So it's because of the latter issue with Alexa being barely functional we'll be returning it and buying an actual Echo.

Amazing speaker , I love it , the bass amazing, the volume the sound quality is outstanding!

Love the sound, size, ease of use. Set up with our projector system was a slam dunk.
