Overall, this is an excellent speaker. Easy to connect to my phone and sounds great. The volume gets very loud and I haven't noticed any distortion. I have had a couple of occasions where the speaker lost connection with my phone, but I don't know if it was my phone or the speaker causing the problem. Battery life is really good and it charges quickly.

Pretty solid speaker. Good sound quality, works particularly well in small rooms. I actually ended up returning this speaker however. I had issues with the Bluetooth connection cutting out pretty frequently for a brief second, which was driving me crazy. $240 is a lot of money to be investing in a speaker for it to not be perfect. I ended up going with the bigger (and so much better) Hyperboom. The increase in bass is insane. Better battery life, much smoother bluetooth connection, really fills the room with sound as opposed to just playing music. Made me realize what I was really missing with the Megablast. If you’re going to drop $200+ on a speaker from Ultimate Ears just do yourself a favor and spend the extra money to get the Hyperboom. You won’t regret it.

This is a nice portable bluetooth speaker for anyone looking for one. It's super easy to set up, the associated app is easy to navigate and use. The speaker is clear and has plenty of volume to reach most areas of your home. With the option to link multiple units the ability to enjoy your music across multiple areas is even better.

1st let me say the sound is amazing. Having Alexa on top whenever you want via WiFi network built into the speaker is nice. Water proof and great 360 sound. Down sides: Funky micro USB connection where not able cables will fit. No 3.5 mm mini jack for say Nintendo switch etc and nonisb type c. Other than that you can't go wrong

I have been looking for a good loud speaker and this is it..I cannot say the quality of sound is balanced or the bass is great but it gets loud and it actually sou ds pretty good. No complaints wish it would link to multiple ue megablast but I cant complain. I can hear it at work, outside with constant loud noises

I love this speaker. Easy to use and sounds amazing. I wanted something simple to pair my phone with to enjoy all of my purchased tunes. This speaker was super easy to set up and connects with my phone every time with a single push of a button. You can control the volume via phone or by use of dedicated volume controls on the actual speaker.

Awesome sound, water proof, light weight, and long battery life!

So I had the same old Bluetooth speaker for about going on five or six years, and I thought it was time for an upgrade. The speaker performs wonderfully and can stream music for hours on end. I like the fact that it's water resistant as well so it gives you piece of mind. Through thick and thin, Ultimate Ears is destined to win, great product.

Absolutely love this speaker. It works great. It’s waterproof. I take it to the beach, pool anywhere outside and I don’t have to worry about it being damaged. The sound is amazing! I highly recommend this product.

Have the UE Mega boom, this one is bigger, louder and more base

I am torn! We loved this speaker! It was everything and more than we expected! Powerful, clear, nice base. GREAT SOUND! I use it in my studio to play music throughout 1200 square feet and it did well! The battery life is great too! Now, 11 months later, it will not turn on. A few weeks ago, it did this and would not turn on for about an hour... after charging but eventually turned on. Not this time. I love this speaker so much that its hard to decide what to rate it, because while it worked, it was AMAZING! If I knew it was going to last I would HIGHLY recommend this speaker. But, for how much I paid, I expected more than 11 months!

Great sound for a wireless speaker. I love the 16 hour battery life. long lasting battery. Great speaker, but over priced.

I love UE products! They sound great. With Megablast having Alexa, everything else becomes SMART. "Alexa, turn on bedroom lights." Alexa, what's in my calendar." Yeah, great! Not only that. Megablast is portable and wireless. The Alexa Echo Plus is wired. Megablast for me wins!

It is pretty loud, I like it.. I mainly use it for work ( I work in a kitchen) and it definitely does the trick, easy to figure out and I love the fact that you can hook up multiple speaker to each other I believe you can hook up more than 150 together. So most likely buying another in the near future.

This is a great speaker. Has solid bass, pairs easily, has Alexa, and lasts 4 solid days on a charge. Sounds better than my 500 dollar Sonos, my old Sony, and my Altec Lansing. Wow, what a great sounding speaker. Lastly, Best Buy did a contactless purcahse, as this was a COVID 19 purchase.

Yes this speaker sounds good and can get very loud, add in durable and water resistant it starts to justify price. The Alexa integration is wonky at best and I think a few more preset equalizer settings in app would help sound quality a ton.

I have bought 2 of these speakers for myself in the past and am always impressed by the portability and sound quality of them. Also, being able to link them so that when entertaining people at home, I can have the same music both inside and outside the house without having to mess about with wires etc.
