Excellent sound quality! The battery life is listed as 12 hours but I think with how loud your volume is determines your battery life. It’s very rugged and able to withstand the elements! It is heavier but the sound and battery are worth the weight.

I have the mega boom and decided to purchase the megablast on sale for $125.. My biggest regret is not purchasing another one at half off :( it's durable and LOUD! And with alexia? Omg! Only downside is how to charge it, it's way is inconvenient! BUT I will be purchasing the wireless charging dock so no worries

Bought for outdoor use coaching a team. For a soccer field it's not loud enough to hear very well from the far side of the field. But close distances outside - 30 yards or so, it is great! Love the Alexa built in. Really blasts the sound indoors.

I think all MegaBoom sound the same. No different in sound. My old megaboom worked just as great until it stopped charging. I got geek squad and they were able to trade it. I used it on the lake and it fell in the water a few times, worked perfectly great after and still played music.

Spent about 30 min to set up. Phoned customer service and they were no help! Was thinking about returning the speaker but I had just replaced my megeboom for megaboost. Next day spent about same amount of time after deleteing app and downloading the app like the previous day. Finally it sinked. Would have given it a 5 Star it it weren’t the fact of difficulty setting up!! Need to fix the app or you will have alot of unhappy customers.

I've had other bluetooth / wireless speakers before and one which this replaced because of poor performance. I've been using the speaker for about a month and it hasn't let me down yet. Great sound quality and easy to use. Love the WIFI functionality makes listening easy.

The sound is great but I bought 1 it died in 1/3 of time advertised then I returned and bought another assuming it was a defect well the same thing happened so I returned again bout sony xb43 witch has a stamina setting so battery last as long as advertised wich it does sound is great Mayb not as loud as ue but close and probably better in my opinion also can put on a sweet light show , wich does kill battery a little faster but if u want a speaker for all day Not the ue go Sony , I wanted to like the ue but I’m an all day beach person and when a speaker that says 20hrs dies in 7 I’m not happy kind of a downer !

I am now a believer. Ultimate Ears has some of the best bluetooth speakers. The sound on this speaker is so good. I haven't had a need to turn it above the halfway mark because I can hear the speaker throughout my first floor. Used it for a party and it was great.

I have a UE Megaboom speaker and several Alexa devices already that I love. So I thought this would just be more to love...a great speaker with voice control and voice assistant. I was specifically looking to use in a workout room to play music, set timers, etc. The great sound was there. However, the Alexa integration was slow and not very responsive. I had to repeat myself...a lot. And this is frustrating mid-workout when you are conserving air. :). The app for this speaker also does not have a power on/off feature like my Megaboom. (And why is there more than one app?? But that’s a discussion for another day...). In summary, this is way too expensive to be so mediocre. Returned this to the store.

Great sound that comes fro this device. Would recommend buying it. Haven’t tried the waterproof feature yet. Battery life is amazing. Only criticism I would provide is it keeps shutting down and I have to do a manual restart when it does.

Great sound, great look and feel, terrible to have to turn on its side to charge it as the charger is on the bottom. Wish I would have know that before buying it.

What a great sounding Bluetooth speaker. I have had it outside hooked up to my jet ski and also just in the yard while raking. It seems to put out an amazing clear sound. Also has plenty of volume should be perfect for the water as well!!!

The speaker has amazing sound quality with loud thumping base and clean vocals. Amazon Alexa is a good addition to a good speaker. Since, this is the first time ever Ultimate Ears tried to build a smart speaker, I think they skipped on many basic functionality: - alexa commands to control your playlist does not work when you play your local phone directory over bluetooth. - UE could have included the feature to connect to two devices at a time over bluetooth. - Bluetooth is the only way to connect to a device. No USB, No headphone jack to connect your phone via it. - the on-board device functionality is limited. You can only increase/decrease volume and know the battery level. I have returned my speaker as I would like to go for their second iteration of their Megaboom lineup as I feel they are going to fill a lot of gaps.

I did a lot of online research and this bluetooth speaker is highly rated everywhere and turns out to be awesome as reviewed. It is nearly indestructible and waterproof. It has built in Alexa capabilities and sound quality is clear and loud. Highly recommended!

We needed a portable speaker to take outside and for camping. This portable speaker has great sound. While at home it connects to the WIFI and plays Pandora with no problems. It has Amazon Alexa built in and it works well too.

We bought this to replace a Sony speaker that went out after a year of use. We have no complaints so far with this. It sounds great and is super easy to use. We love how you can pair multiple of these speakers together

I recently purchased this speaker its my second one I love the sound quality of it and its easy to use functions but recently my speaker was stolen and was wondering if this speaker has any type of tracking feature?

Wow. this is one loud portable speaker. It will easily connect and with the APP, it works like a champ. Your friends and neighbors will be jealous. The sound is not just loud but very clear. Absolutely recommend this speaker to anyone.

Bought for my daughters room and the quality is amazing!! They love the interaction with Alexa and the fact they can use their phone's music to stream thru with ease. Easy to set up and maintain. Worth the price. Built to last.

This speaker can be used for both indoor and outdoor purposes. At it's maximum volume it is very loud and could definitely be heard over a crowd. The sound quality at the maximum volume is not compromised either. Plus it's easy to set up and use!
