I love the sound quality, it’s very loud and the battery lasts for a long time!

My wife and I have three booms in our house. They are perfect for portable sound. They have a decent amount of bass, get really loud, and are waterproof. We have always been a fan of the UE Boom family, and the megaboom is a perfect example of why.

The word "awesome" is so overused and such an automatic response that it has become trite and meaningless. This Megaboom Speaker, however, is truly Awesome in the original meaning of the word and in full of awe and wonder, almost impressive beyond description. The second you turn on this magnificent speaker and hear the drum riff your mouth may open in amazement. Start playing music and the awestruck feeling grows.

These speakers are amazing. I really love the quality of the sound and how durable it is.

The sound quality is great, doesn't have to be at max volume to sound loud. The bass is also great. The fact that it's water resistant as well as well as long bluetooth connectivity puts it above other bluetooth speakers in the market. Would definitely recommend it.

This thing has great sound and the battery life is awesome. It looks great on the shelf in my office and when we take it to the beach it good to know that it is sand and water proof. Black Friday deal was SO GOOD. I almost bought 2!

I read a lot of reviews before settling on the UE Megaboom. The Megaboom is a step above the competition because it is waterproof and also brings serious sounds. The app has an equalizer to bring the bass and is easy to connect and use. Worth the extra money

My daughter loves it. The sound is solid and can fill a mid size room. The bass is good for those that want balance and not over powering bass, like you get in Beats.

All in all, this is a nice portable speaker for carrying to beach or pool. Much better than JBL that is smaller. nice feature that it can pair with another UE megaboom

I initially bought this speaker for two reasons: to hook up to my Switch via aux cable for when I dock it and to be able to play music in the background while I'm working on homework, programming, etc. Two friends of mine suggested that I get an Ultimate Ears speaker, so I bought this one when I saw it on sale. It arrives well packaged and comes with the speaker, and a charging cable, you will have to buy an aux cable on your own. Pairing the speaker on my phone was quick and simple and using the aux port only required me to plug it in. There is an app for this speaker, which I downloaded but never used. One of my friends that already owns a UE Megaboom told me that using the app had caused his speaker to update its firmware and that it stopped working as well afterwards. In other words, just use it like you would any other Bluetooth speaker and you won't have any problems. One of the big selling points of the speaker was it's ruggedness and durability. I personally use the speaker indoors, so I can't really say if either of those two aspects are very reliable. I haven't yet stuffed the speaker into the bathtub to check the waterproof feature, but it has fallen off my desk once or twice when I tripped over the aux cable and it survived the 3-4 foot fall. The battery also lasts very long. I usually have it on for a good 5-6 hours per day and it lasts me several days. I don't know how the battery degrades over time as I have only had the speaker for 1-2 months. The speaker also has a neat feature that allows it to turns itself off after fifteen minutes without audio input. Considering I sometimes forget to turn it off when I leave the room, this is very good for preserving battery life. For me, one of the big selling points was audio quality. I often listen to music through headphones and my integrated speakers aren't that great. Even at high volumes, the UE Megaboom keeps good overall audio quality and its very pleasant to listen to. I'm not an audiophile, but one of my friends that recommended this speaker is. This obviously isn't going to give you studio accuracy, but its very nice to listen to, something that almost everyone who I've asked about the sound quality has told me. In order connect this speaker to my switch and my desktop computer, I needed the ability to plug in an aux cord. This works flawlessly. I can connect both via aux and via Bluetooth at the same time. Bluetooth does override aux, but it switches back and forth between the two depending on which source is currently transmitting audio. This speaker is also really easy for my friends to use. I personally use an android phone, one of my friends has connected to it with her iPhone, and my other friend regularly pairs with the speaker using his MacBook. Overall, this speaker is very user friendly and works quite well. Though I got the speaker for $100, because of a sale, I would definitely consider the speaker worth the $250 price tag it usually holds.

I’ve purchased the UE boom and boom 2 for myself and as gifts in the past and liked the speakers a lot. The price point was keeping me away from the MEGABOOM, but a holiday sale brought that down and I pulled the trigger. Boy am I glad that I did! The bigger speaker allows for a loud, clear sound with much more support for the low frequencies. I’ve been impressed so far!

Bought this for my daughter to replace the BOSE vluetooth portable, this unit sounds great, very portable seems industructible and waterprrof. Perfect for a girl going to college ( we also have a small one for our shower and love it )

Great sound! I think it's as good as any of the Bose speakers and it's mostly water proof.

The Mega Boom blue tooth speaker has quality sound and long range for the blue tooth control. Great that I can control from my cell phone which make it so convenient.

I love this speaker. It's been exactly what I need for work (construction). Long lasting battery. It takes the beating of a job site, and it gets loud. I can't say enough good things about it.
