I originally purchased the JBL flip 4. I bought it to use on my mountain bike. It was a great size, like a soda can. Very clear and clean but not enough bass for me. I returned it and purchased the Megaboom. Although it is larger and more expensive it still has the right shape, like an Arizona Iced Tea Can, it was just what I needed. Strong bass and volume. I don't hit the bike trails without it! The battery lasts forever. Keeps charge when you're not using it. Used it one day for a few hours and a week later it still had 80 percent with no charging while at the same time being left in a hot car. I don't have buyers remorse like I do have with other expensive products that I've bought. If you want this for a bike ride the sound will keep you motivated. Don't hesitate if you're on the fence.

Easy to connect via bluetooth. Big sound. Waterproof and so a great companion for the beach or boat. Five stars. :)

We bought this speaker after a family member had purchased one. We fell in love with the quality of sound that comes from such a small speaker and that it is water proof...not water resistant. It has fallen into our hot tub on a few occasions and still works perfectly! If you buy two speakers you can pair them both to your phone and it's like portable surround sound.

First bought the boom II and then added the megaboom for biking, can connect both by blue tooth and play from one phone, with speakers on two bikes. Megaboom has the volume and battery life for the full day. Easy to change volume, waterproof, and great sound quality. . . . good stuff!

Really good speakers. Loud and bass hits good. Waterproof resistant so you can't beat that. Highly recommended.

Loud, clear sound quality. No harsh sound and good bass quality as well. Didn't even have to use the full volume on the packed river. The speaker never fell in the water but, it was attached to the yeti and likely had more than, a lot of water dropping on it from fiddling to get drinks. Worth the money! Careful when Bluetooth is connected. We left the phone connected to the speaker in the hotel room and had to go get it halfway down the river which was a trek, to disconnect it from the speaker. No way to manually disconnect Bluetooth from a device on the speaker and it wouldn't allow another phone to kick the other connection out or connect more than one device at a time.

I got this for when I went camping and tubing and I love it. Good battery life , loud, a lot of bass and water proof. Just throw it right in the water and it will still work great, not in the water of course but when you take it out.

Sounds good. Works great outdoor. Didn't have to worry about water. Easy to set up. Long continuous play.

Good sound, good battery life. Best thing is being able to connect several for different rooms or better overall sound. Waterproof is a plus when using around the pool.

Brought this when it went on sale. Has good bass and sound compared to many other Bluetooth speakers I have listened to. Can fill up a room with music as claimed.

The mega is larger than the boom but still portable. Sounds awesome. I use it everyday. It is difficult to plug into the charger.

Bought for my son who is going off to college. Pairs easily with Bluetooth with good range. Tough enough to withstand careless teen handling. Nice that it pairs with another for true stereo sound. Sound is pretty good. Bass is better when placed near a wall.

I've been eyeing up the UE Megaboom for a couple years now. I finally bought the Boom 2 on sale and it just didn't have the bass I really wanted. I purchased the Megaboom a month later when it went on sale and I wish I would have purchased it for full price 2 years ago. Battery life is great. Volume is fantastic. UE app adds some great additional options. Nothing less than a 5 star product.

Price kept me away at first, but after listening to everything else (portable, bluetooth, waterproof) on the market and being less than satisfied, I came back to the Megaboom and so glad i did! Incredible sound, excellent base, easy to use and pairs easily to my iphone. Can't imagine how great it would sound paired to a second megaboom! Don't let the price scare you away - give it an honest listen. You won't be disappointed!

I have used the pill, and I bought (and returned) the small bose player, none that I've used have even came close to the quality sound of thos device. On top of it's superior sounds, THE BATTERY IS AMAZING. I've only charged it once and have used it on multiple occasions. I'd definitely buy another for an even fuller sounding effect.

Had this for a little over a month. Battery lasts about a week before I recharge it. We like going to the apartment pool and play music for about 3-4 hours. Plenty loud enough to not be able to hear each other feet away when its on full blast. My stereo in my wrangler is broken, so I use this with the top and doors off driving 75 on the highway and can hear it fine. Amazing speaker. Haven't dropped it in water yet.

I bought this to replace a small bluetooth speaker I had for both better sound and longer battery life and it delivers. This speaker cranks the tunes great in the yard or in the bathroom getting ready for work. I haven't got to really test the battery life at high volumes but at lower and moderate it volumes it goes and goes and goes. The price may be a little on the higher side but I'd recommend this unit to anyone.

We really like the speaker; the sound is of great quality and we love that the unit is waterproof. We did run into an issue with a malfunctioning volume button. We were past the Best Buy return date so had to go through the manufacturer; it was a bit tough to find the right part of the company to go through for UE (they seem to have tons of products and phone extensions) but once we made it through that we were able to get a new unit sent to us. It did require us to send back the malfunctioning unit first, so we were without a speaker for 1.5-2 weeks.

great sound indoor or out. bluetooth connects hassle free and battery is outstanding
