I have had my mega boom since March 2017, loved the sound quality and performance of the speaker since purchase. Now a month and a half after my 2 year replacement warranty runs out it will not charge anymore. I would think for the price this speaker would last longer than 2years. I have a Bose mini sound link that is still working 6 years later, I am sad the UE brand does not have longer lifespan.

This thing is amazing, i've owned the original UE roll for a few years now and ive loved it. Brought it onto rafting trips, lounged in the pool while the speaker is in the pool as well, or just hanged it in the shower, and in every instance it's been amazing (truest definition of portable, and every other company has been copying them ever since because of it). Just for playing music everywhere it's great, but for the quality of the music it could be better and that's where the Megaboom comes in. It's everything the Roll is but better in every way. It's got great highs, mids, and pretty good lows (where the roll is all highend) with punchy bass, which is surprising considering most all mid priced Bluetooth speakers lack good bass. And man can this thing get loud, with the music still being crystal clear. Used it at a party the other night and everyone was impressed with how loud it is and how it still sounds good when turned up. Def bigger than most but still just as portable and waterproof. And the fact i was able to get it refurbished for $150 instead of paying full price (anywhere between $225- $300) was a major bonus. Two friends of mine own a JBL and a Beats Pill and they don't even compete, they both wish they got this instead. So im very happy with UE, they make quality products, and id definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a portable Bluetooth speaker.

I absolutely love this speaker. Purchased it as a refurb just to test it out. I would most definitely buy another one so that I at least have a pair. I won't listen to music off my phone unless it's paired with my megaboom. The sound is clear and crisp. The speaker is a great size for portability. It's waterproof feature is good for when I'm in a steamy shower or doing the dishes and using the device for speaker phone. A lot of ppl comment how loud this little speaker is and further inquire about the cost and where they can buy it

Good value for the money. Set up may involve pressing the bluetooth symbol and pairing to each individual laptop or cell phone. Once paired the sound is good. The piece is easily portable and can be carried from room. Once charged it can play on for many hours though I have not checked to see if it will last 20 hours. Good buy.

inexpensive, great sound, great bass, convenient, easy to use, an awesome battery that lasts. Don't waste your money on anything else.

Amazing sound! Excellent quality! And water resistant! It gets very loud for a portable speaker, but maintains great clarity and good bass for a compact speaker. I bring it outside for parties, around a fire, or tailgating. I purchased a second UE speaker after using this.

Love this devise . You have to hear it for yourself. Don't go by they u tube test . Sounds great .easy to carry. Best device. Great bass high clears .I'm happy with this purchase. I always carry it with me. Great price worth the money

This is one of the better portable speakers I have used, The sound is clear, the low end is not overly heavy but does let you know it's there. Pairing is easy and the battery is awesome. This blends in most places I put it to use. Now the price: Is it worth full? No. My Bose sound link color is heavier on low end but not as clear on highs, but costs 1/2 as much with a good battery life. My amazon Echo is pretty close at 130 less, but not portable (same size and shape though) My unit was a refurbished on sale, it is worth it. It is better in some spots over other models, but honestly, full retail you can find other brands close and save a lot.

The Speakers work great ! These refurbished units sound and work like my new units I bought previously. I'm normally a BOSE lover but in a side by side comparison UE wins hands down ! The sound is better, they're easily paired with an unlimited number of other UE speakers and they're waterproof ! The only downside was the delivery of the first units didn't make it to me and on the reorder they only sent one instead of the 2 speakers I paid for. Within a week I got it straightened out and received my second speaker.

I bought this speaker to use around the pool and when working outside. The volume is impressive and the sound quality is great for a single speaker. The battery life is downright amazing. I can use it for a few hours multiple days before needing a charge. I only gave it four stars as the first speaker I got had a bad driver and sounded distorted. Best Buy took care of it though, just took a bit to get in as they don't stock this refurbished item in the store.

I picked up this speaker on sale without doing much research...and I'm very happy I did. The battery life is amazing. Loudness, not an issue. Can easily fill a large room. The weather resistant feature is great when using it on the boat or golf course. And the custom app lets to fine tune any sound you prefer. It's sounds rivals my Bose portable speakers. Highly recommend.

Decent SQ, plus the built in EQ was useful. The water/dust ratings are solid. It got plenty loud for a one bedroom apartment.

**This review is specifically for the Refurbished UE Megaboom sold by Best Buy** **Refurbished UE Megaboom was purchased online through Best Buy** DO NOT BUY THE REFURBISHED MEGABOOM IF THE FOLLOWING IS IMPORTANT TO YOU: 1. Being covered under the UE 2 Year Warranty - email correspondence with UE customer care confirmed that the refurbished Megabooms are not covered under their warranty - even though the Best Buy product page specifically states that it is covered. I am guessing that Best Buy did not change the product info from the New Megaboom product page. 2. The refurbished Megabooms are rated IPX4 - NOT IPX7 as is the case with the new Megabooms. This was also confirmed by UE customer care after I noticed that the IPX4 rating was stated on the box for the refurbished Megaboom. IPX4 rating is essentially water resistant and can only take water splashing with no forceful jets. IPX7 is immersion in water up to 1 meter in depth for 30 minutes. This is a huge difference if you were planning on using the Megaboom around open water. I will be returning this to Best Buy as these two faults were not disclosed on the product page.

I have had many Bluetooth speakers and this beats them all. Sound is incredible and the ability to pair with another UE Boom is a great addition. You can also let your friends play simultaneously through the app without having to unpair. I now have two and have recommended to many friends.

This speaker has great sound quality and battery life. Top that off with being able to party them up with other ue speakers and having the option for Alexa like Google home makes this a great buy.

looks good, excellent quality, durable, long battery life, and can play very loud. like that it uses standard microusb connection for charging. have since purchased a couple ue booms for the kids.

Upgraded from the mini UE boom. Same great sound just bigger and louder. Perfect for a pool party!
