I bought these about 3-4 years ago for home studio use. These things are amazing...sound is very clear! The drivers are built so the sound doesn't hit your ear drums directly so it saves your hearing as well! The ear pads are a nice velvet material so they do not get tacky like some of the faux leather ones. They twist off and you can replace them if they wear out. This item came with two cords one for plugging into an auxiliary sources like amps etc and one 3.5 mm that you can connect to a PC, Mac, or mp3 player. The reason i am giving these 4 stars is that the band that goes across your head starts to hurt the top of your head a little but that is only with prolonged use. They do fold but still are a little clunky to carry around, the case they come in, is nice but not the smallest either. Overall these are must buys for audiophiles out there!
