The shell gets chilled enough to safely keep your lunch fresh until lunchtime. Frozen microwave entres stay frozen until you want to microwave them. The structure is solid enough to carry even heavier glass containers with leftovers;

Best lunch box ever

I pop it in my freezer in the evening and pull it out the following morning to pack my lunch and snacks for work. No more looking for space in fridge at work ...what a nightmare that was!
