very entertaining, based on true life events. I would recommevd it for adult veiwing, some seens are very violent and may upset younger viewers. Based on a true story its hard to believe some one could endure so much. Well directed and presented. Brutal treatment of our pisioners of war by JAPAN. Remenber , you can make if you can take it.

Movie was very good. It told a true story about one of our servicemen that served in our armed forces during ww2 and what he went thru when his bomber plane was shot down over the Pacific Ocean while one a mission. He was captured and served in a pow camp and went thru a terrible ordeal before the war ended and he and others were liberated.

Sweet Movie.. Pins and needles all the way till the ending. Won’t be disappointed. Have your popcorn in hand.

The movie is great. I don't want to give away the storyline, but the cover of the dvd says it all. It's powerful. You are drawn from the beginning to the end. You can empathize what he has gone through and it's remarkable of how he overcame each and every obstacle. -- It was also awesome to have a steel book cover only from Best Buy!

I think that everyone should see this movie. This story is indeed better than I had thought it was going to be, based on the negative reviews that I had read. Those reviews are full of it. This movie should have gotten better reviews. No doubt, Angelina Jolie got ripped off on this one because it's a total gem, and should have been recognized by the Oscars. Unfortunately, quite often the Oscars don't even mention the best movie.

I bought this as a gift for my husband. It was a really good movie based on a true story. It was inspirational and really moved us. It made us feel like we can get through anything.

I read the book which was great. The movie did a great job of covering the main topics. Many people gave up more than we will ever know during this time in hisory. The movie showed us one individual that could have been one of the USA's top distance runners but it also showed how others around him suffered too. Great movie.

This is a story of one man Louis Zamperini a true American Hero. He represents thousands of men who were imprisoned by the Japanese during World War 2 who suffered deplorable conditions. This movie is a great watch after seeing it you will think about how lucky we are to be living in a great country because of these selfless heroes

I enjoyed the book and I enjoyed this movie. Some have criticized the movie in that it did not really address Louie Z's life after he returned home. However, I thought it was an excellent movie. I also enjoyed the special features which focused on many aspects of Louie's life after he returned home. Strong video and audio quality.

I bought this because it is one of the few discs encoded with both Dolby Atmos and Auro 3D, and I wanted to try both of them. The latter is very impressive, creating an ambience almost identical to that of a movie theater. As for the film, it is very well done, with fine performances in the lead roles by two young British actors. Angelina Jolie may seem mad at times, but this movie shows that she is a highly skilled director.

This is another great story based on true events that we need to remind us how tough things can get and how tough (or not) we humans are. It did grind on a bit here and there, and like the Revenant you have to wonder just how much bad luck one man can have. But the amount of perseverance a person can muster, and the impact that teamwork can have in a difficult situation, are things that we can never forget.

None of life's challenges match those of being lost at sea, and being a Prisoner of War. The courage and determination of a troubled child / Olympic champion who goes to war as a flight crewman in WWII inspires us all to give our best to deal with every difficulty, even those deliberately imposed by a heartless enemy.

The movie never seems to do justice to the book. This movie was very good, and had you not read the book you would definitely not be disappointed. However as is the way things are in life, reading 10 pages to describe a situation or setting makes the intrigue that much more than simply seeing it and comprehending it in 5 seconds on a movie screen. Overall, great story and I would definitely recommend.

I ought this movie was well done. Reading the book, you get the sense that he was tortured all of the time. There is no reason to make a 10 hour movie portraying all he went through. I think what was shown was enough to give me the idea that this man was truly Unbroken. Great, true story. And I thought I have it tough ...

This story is a true testament to the astonishing limits of human endurance. The will power and mental strength that this former olympic athlete maintains after being taken prisoner of war by the Japanese in World War II is nothing short of incredible. The acting in this movie is fantastic! Extremely well done movie.

If you have read the book, you will be a bit disappointed in the movie. While it is understood that the directors could not have included all details, it would have been nice to include specific details to make the audience understand why things happened the way they did. However, I am glad I read the book first, gave me a greater appreciation for the hardships men faced during WWII, especially in the prison camps.

This is one of the best WWII movies made. The story is well told and presented. Keeps you attention the whole time. Being based on a true story just makes it that much special.

While the role of Louis Zamperini's faith is not implicit in the film, it definitely is in the extras. There is a good message of forgiveness and God's faithfulness. There is good action and drama in this film. The perseverance of Louis Z is amazing. The movie is well done and draws you in.

My favorite part of the movie was the beginning, especially the bomber scenes. However, the flow of the movie seemed wrong and many segments of the movie seemed excessive in duration. Also, I think that too much focus was placed on the interaction between the camp commander and the lead character. The acting was fine and the movie was based on real life events so I did enjoy the watch.
