Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is a fantastic game. It stands out on it's own among a vast sea of games. The story is gripping, the action is intense and always stays with you, and the controls are as smooth as you could hope for. The story isn't a direct continuation from the first game Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, but if you want a good amount of info on the returning characters, I strongly recommend playing the first. The single player campaign will take you 8-10 hours (which is a good amount compared to similar games). Throughout the whole campaign, you will be stunned by the graphical prowess this game administers. The multiplayer portion of this game brings the smooth controls with it, and the graphics. This game is a must have for any Playstation 3 owner.

Uncharted 2: Amang thieves is one of my favorite games of all time. the story is cinema quality with many twists and turns throughout.very exciting story with many great sequences. the gameplay is topnotch as well. its a TPS like Gears Of War,(plays very similar to it aswell), every gameplay issue in the first game has been fixed in the uncharted 2., the graphics are simply breathtaking. tons of detail in every level. animations are excellent and everything runs smoothly throughout the game. facial animations are superb also. the voice acting is better in this game than most movies out there. props to Nolan North for another amazing job as Nathan Drake. Uncharted also has amazing muliplayer that is very fun. if there was only one complaint, it would be that the game ended. highly recommend

I consider Uncharted games as underdogs. They have come out of the blue to conquer!! If you have enjoyed uncharted, uncharted 2 is 10 times better. You can play online co-op, vs other players, and stuff like that. The gameplay is much improved. The story is shows true invested time. Its so exciting. I enjoyed every bit of it!! thank the gods for sony free online play! The online experience is badass!!

All the accolades are right, this is really one of the best games you will ever play. Of the genre, there is no equal. Top notch graphics, engaging charcters, interesting cohesive storyline, exciting storytelling, and challenging AI. Multiplayer is also very fun, not the best of the multiplayer options out there, but the single player more than makes up for it.

Among Thieves, in my opinion, is the best game on the "next-gen" consoles, in terms of what the sum of its parts add up to. Graphics- Incredible graphical presentation has become synonymous with the Uncharted franchise, which is a calling card it absolutely deserves. Not only is the detail top-notch, but the vivid and varied locales show off the beautiful colors and stylistic art direction of the game. The mountains, jungles, crowded and colorful cities are eye-candy to the highest level, and the Lost City (the last level) includes some the most stunning visuals I've ever seen. I stopped many times while playing to just swivel the camera around the environments, losing minutes at a time marveling at reflections in puddles and architectural textures. Gameplay- Climbing, although linear throughout, is very fun and adds a good "exploration" break to the shooting. Shooting is great, but it can feel a little loose in multiplayer, but it's just a learning curve. The cover system is extremely fluid and feels natural. Hand-to-hand combat works extremely well in the campaign with many animations and cool stealth melee. It performs well in multiplayer too, but it seems like whoever gets 2 punches first will get the kill; almost a “button race.” Puzzles are satisfying, but going back and forth from Nathan's journal can be frustrating at times. The scale and setup of some of the puzzles immediately relieve this minor concern though. Story- The story is really fun and is fueled by its great, likable cast of characters. Voice acting is superb with funny one-liners that are fresh and never seem weak; they really add to the humor, which excels throughout. The plot twists and character turns (hint: Among Thieves) keep you guessing and have you changing your emotional alliances with the characters. The mythological, yet historic plot is really entertaining and surprising, providing a globe-trekking, big-budget action movie feel to it. The set-pieces and cinematic scenes seamlessly combine a movie and video game. Multiplayer- 5 vs. 5 variations of Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Domination, etc. are really fun. Although the loose shooting and 3rd person perspective are a learning curve online, the stunning maps and currency system (allowing you to purchase skins, weapon upgrades, perks, and even tweaks for the campaign mode, such as slow motion, no gravity, and sepia-tone filter) beckon you to play more to level up. The online objective co-op is my favorite, where you and 2 other players charge through a part of the campaign without the actual story, but all the action. Co-op arena is similar, but with increasing waves of enemies, forcing you to just survive. FUN! An absolute must-play. Your PS3 wants this game in it. Schwing.

minus the way they portray women thinking that everyone like chest which fyi is not true... funny just ask drake.... it still is one of the best modern adventure games it is very challenging had to use a walkthrough for 2 of the chapters and im still not done... i wish there were some adventure games like quest for glory and kings quest though they had class... pentium class lol.... it is a really good game and still has many good characters some lame dialogue is about the only bad thing... its kind of like duke nukem will be lame version of nudity wheres the heels and fishnets.... but still a rockin game

Uncharted 2 is the best game in the series. The storyline is pure gold. If you've never played Uncharted before, you will love it. Multiplayer was addicting for me. I spent so many hours just playing.

This was definitely a great sequel to the first Uncharted. The Uncharted series is in the mold of Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider, as the story deals with a particular treasure that Drake is after. It helps if you play the first one first (Uncharted: Drake's Fortune) Then if you are getting this game, get the Game of the Year Edition as that will give you access to all the downloadable content including a motion comic (Uncharted: Eye of Indra) which is a prequel to Drake's Fortune. The treasure hunting and third-person perspective are great. If you're into multiplayer shooters this offers a great one. It offers different modes and different characters you can use. I can not really think of any minuses to this game. Well, it did get Game of the Year.

As i stated in my Uncharted 1 review, i cant believe that i didnt find out about the glory of this game until late 2011. It is one of the best games ever made. It just took a hold of me and never let me go. it's very intriguing and fun to play. Even my mom, when accidentally caught a glimpse of the beginning of the game, she couldnt take her eyes off of it and asked me to show her, what happened next, so thyis was the first game she ever beat :D. In overall it is a great game.

Better than last year in terms of game play as well as control and graphics. The story too is good. Overall very happy and satisfied.

This is hands down my favorite game for PS3. Xbox can have Halo and Forza. As long as I have Uncharted, I'm happy. -The campaign mode is phenomenal, exciting, challenging at times, and hard to stop playing. The story ranks up there with the Assassins Creed Franchise. -The graphics are among the tops for console games -The multiplayer is surprisingly fun and exciting. It's not CoD Modern Warfare 2, so if you're expecting something like that, temper your expectations. It has it's own charm. I personally like the money system for unlocking gun upgrades, skins, and "boosters" (much like perks in CoD). Overall, I think Uncharted 2 is an absolute must have for all PS3 owners. Hands down the best PS3 exclusive game, and would be worth switching from Xbox to PS3 alone. Can't wait for Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception!

I'm way behind the times, but I just completed Uncharted 2 recently. I had heard nothing but great praise for the game, and I'm happy to say Uncharted 2 lived up to the hype. Nathan Drake is Indiana Jones in video game form, and Uncharted 2 tells his amazing journey through Istanbul and Nepal, in search of the mythical city Shambala. The story is great, and the gameplay works just as well. Uncharted 2 is a quality 3rd person shooter with a good variety of guns and excellent cover mechanics. The game also incorporates a lot of platforming elements as well.

Naughty Dog always delivers a great game and gaming experience. Uncharted 2 Game of the Year Edition is no different. It's one of the best games that I've ever played and all the bonus material in the Game of the Year Edition is well worth the buy.

Recently went through Drakes Fortune and loved it... this exceeds it, but I recommend playing/owning both. Best PS3 game series.

I bought this game as a follow up form the first sequel an i love it so much i got a no touch policy at home on that game. LOL Its a must buy for any one old fans an new comers

This was the best single player game I have ever played. I would suggest playing the first game before part 2. They are both great.
