Got as a beginner game for switch. Love the quirky story line and it’s been challenging but still super awesome
I would recommend this to a friend

If you like Earth Bound, you’ll love this game. It’s so silly and fun. Very unique the say the least. Highly recommended!

Undertale is a brilliant and smartly designed game that understands well what makes a good RPG work; so much so that it can upend expectations and deliver something that’s almost a satire of the genre. It’s been a long time since we’ve played a game that manages to surprise so often and in so many unique ways, and even if it doesn’t look like much, Undertale has way more going for it under the surface. Excellently written characters, a genre-bending battle system and a solid soundtrack make this one an easy recommendation, especially to RPG lovers.

I avoided this game when it first came out due to its particularly rabid fanbase, but playing it now, I can definitely see why "bullet hell morality simulator" is so well loved. the characters are delightful, as is the humor. I really enjoyed the boss fights too, especially the last one (I played the neutral route). the music is god level.
I wasn't exactly a fan of the controls though. it may have been my joycons but I feel like they could've been better.

Undertale is an enjoyable RPG essentially developed by one person. The game borrows a number of elements from the SNES game Earthbound. The story of Undertale is fun, and you're expected to play through the game multiple times to find all of the endings. The art and game's soundtrack is excellent, and the six hour story is well-worth your time to play.

Came from playing this on the Steam Platform and yes there are subtle differences but essentially still the same great game. I would consider this to be the Gold Standard for Indie games publishers must use for future inspiration.
You can choose from 3 different paths: Pacifist, Neutral, or Violent and you will absolutely love the game regardless of which one you decide on. One of the best RPG style games available and had no hesitation picking this one up when I realized it was coming to this system.

I’ve played the game before buying my son a physical copy and I was super happy I did. It’s a retro styled rpg that has multiple endings but the true ending only appears when you’ve played the game as a TRUE pacifist! (Meaning: if you think you can kill people and then restart as a pacifist- you’re wrong!) I think that’s says enough in itself.

Great game with lots of replay ability due to the multiple endings. The art is whimsical 8-bit and the music catchy! I bought the physical edition as a collectors item, and am playing the digital version on the Switch which is the best console to play on in my opinion.
