Customers are impressed with the long battery life and ease of use of the 37-Mile, 22-Channel FRS/GMRS 2-Way Radios. Many users found them simple to operate and convenient for quick communication needs. However, a significant number of customers reported that the range is not as advertised. The actual range achieved was considerably less than the advertised 37 miles.

This product is the worst in history. Couldn't get a block away from each other and talk. Tried driving down the highway with no cars or building around and couldn't talk to each other. Highly recommend NOT buying this product.

Do not recommend these walkie-talkies to anyone. It says 37 mile range on the GMRS frequencies. They would not even work at 1/2 mile.

you know when "cheap is expensive" but you risk with the hope that it works and this was the case, the radio did not work either by the battery or by the distance

I bought these back in May of 2018 for a camping trip since my family takes me camping in an area where cellular service isn't very great. So... You can imagine why I bought these. They're great! I've had the 35-mile water resistant version of the Cobra walkie talkies and I didn't like them. The Cobra walkie-talkies don't last very long on a charge of batteries and the overall performance isn't what you'd expect for the price. These Uniden 37-mile waterproof/floating walkie-talkies are so awesome that I bought a second pair. The battery life is IMPRESSIVE. First thing is that I only charged them one time and used them just a little bit on Memorial Day weekend. They held a charge for a whole month, unlike the Cobra, and I used these Uniden walkie-talkies all weekend long in late June of this year 2018. Me and my family were chatty with these and they lasted for at least 4 hours of usage every day all weekend and the battery indicator didn't even change. All weekend they still display full battery level. The Cobras go down to half battery after about 3 of 4 hours of the same type of usage.
These Uniden walkie-talkies are definitely waterproof. Me and my son attach these Uniden walkie-talkies to our life jackets using carabiners when we swim in the lake or going kayaking. These work well for that and they even float when more than one aluminum carabiner is attached to the walkie-talkie. We did have to blow air into the microphone cavity on the walkie-talkies to blow out the water when we wanted to talk so the sound wouln't be muffled whenever we wanted to talk. You don't have this problem on dry land.
As for the range, I never got to successfully test the range because me and my family generally never were any more than a half mile away from each other at any time. I also really like the belt clip on these Uniden walkie-talkies because it can clip well on your belt and you can very easily use a carabiner to clip onto the belt clip of the walkie-talkie. It's as if these were made for me.
These walkie-talkies are definitely worth the money and I bought two sets of these. They're worth it and don't disappoint. Yeah, I know, they're $100 for a set, but they work just as well as you want them to work and they're durable too. They also include microphone and ear pieces for voice activation usage for the price you pay. I'm contemplating the purchase of a third set so everyone in my camping group can stay in contact when we're going to different places, who's supervising each child, and who's going to the store or restaurant. These are the best walkie-talkies that I've ever owned. They'd be perfect if they had waterproof remote microphones or Bluetooth connectivity for waterproof earbuds with microphone. However, Bluetooth is coming as a newer feature to walkie-talkies. These are still a great value overall. I forgot to also mention that they have a small LED flashlight in the bottom of them that helps for camping or general usage. This light can even do a slow strobe flash mode for night time safety for people who jog or just need to avoid being ran over by cars at night.
