I bought this from Best Buy because the price was low, and I expected a low quality dash cam. WOW, nothing low quality about this sweet camera, it is fantastic. I seriously recommend it, you will be very pleased.

I’ve had this for about 3 months and it is a bad camera. Do yourself a favor and don’t buy this junk. 1. This camera does not hold a charge. This started from day 1. You will always have to have the cord plug into your car for the camera to work. 2. The picture quality is not 1920x1080 as stated on the webpage. The resolution is very poor. 3. The camera has stopped working. The display locks up, so in-order to get it to work again you have to turn it off and on. This will work for a little while (about 5 Min.) and it will lock up again.

I have been using this camera for a month now. I have a 32GB card because the 8GB card really doesn't last long and the memory lock feature doesn't seem to work right (you press the lock button to save what just happened and it actually just saves the NEXT 5 minutes not the LAST 5 minutes which makes 0 sense) even at full 1080p you cannot make out a registration plate unless you are so close behind the car in front that you would be in a parking lot... So even stopped at a stop sign in a queue of traffic, you can't quite make out the plate in front (stopped at a safe distance, eg. you can see both rear wheels of the car in front) other than that it is pretty good. I will go back and try to figure out the memory lock feature again, but it should default to "save what just happened" instead of "something might happen so save the next 5 mins" lol

Been wanting to get a dash cam for awhile after watching all the videos of wrecks and weird stuff that people have captured. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money, but still wanted something that would be good enough to watch and possibly prove my case if something did happen. This Uniden is great, it’s small and doesn’t block the view and the suction cup hasn’t come off yet and I’ve had it for a couple of months (winter temps too). It captures a wide angle and the playback is really good for the price. The only bad thing that comes to me is, unless you are pretty close you are going to be hard pressed to make out the license plate numbers. I’m not sure if more expensive models will be able too but the video is still great.

The quality of the picture is great during the day, and decent at night. It seems to have a good number of features, including the ability to change loop length. Overall, I think this is a good dash cam for the price.

I got this dashcam for Christmas and I have been using it for 3 weeks now. I have the resolution set to 1080p but the image is not crisp like it would be on my smart phone's camera. For example, at a safe following distance on a country road (doing 55mph) you cannot make out the registration of the car in front... The motion is smooth, the image doesn't blur and the video seems to be stabilized somewhat (eg. it doesnt' look like the camera is shaking around etc.) and it does a good job at night. Only complaint I have is that it deletes the previous day's video straight away, it doesn't wait until the memory card is almost full... I was surprised when I went to download for the first time and only found a few videos (ones it decided were crashes because I had been moving the camera mount around and stuff like that)

I bought this because of two recent accidents, where other drivers were at fault, would have been easily verified if the dash cam was in the vehicle. This dash cam yields terrific videos. Two thumbs up here.

This camera is good enough for its price point and does everything it advertises. Resolution is full 1080p but the camera has a low MP count. Not quite good enough to snag a license plate unless the weather conditions are favorable.

I purchased this product when it was a deal of the day. For 30 dollars it is a great price. Easy to install. The only issue I have had was 1 time the suction cup came loose. It hasn't happened since.

The day recordings are good, though whites might be blurry. So, if you are reading license plate with white background, then there might be a problem. Night recordings are OK. Don't expect high quality HD video for this price.

A handy camera to record your daily commute and the hijynx that go on around you. Not only does it serve to keep the other drivers honest in the event of a mishap, but it makes you a better driver.
