Premium accessory for the Odyssey lineup of "smart" telescopes. The solar filter itself is well packaged, to prevent harm to the solar film material. It has a magnetic attachment, much like the end cap of the telescope. You place it on the end of the tube, position the scope with the arm to the right of you, standing behind the scope, in line with the sun. Fire up the scope, select the sun as the object, and it will orient and find it, and start to observe/image the sun. While you can easily make your own, and save some $$, this is a very easy add on, protecting the scope and your investment.

Works great! Can see sunspots clearly. I used the points I earned from buying the Odyssey to nearly pay completely for the solar filter.
