I had a need to neatly add rear channel speakers to my surround sound system. This product is awesome and it does exactly what it's advertised to do and the performance is excellent. I am very pleased with this product, I would recommend it to anyone.

    Lackluster performance meets wireless bugginess

I wanted this product for a long time, but never actually got around to picking it up the many times I visited the store. After receiving a gift card for Christmas, I finally decided to go ahead and pick it up. I had plans to hide this piece in my attic and run speaker wire behind the walls to my wall-mounted rear speakers, but now I'm really not sure what I'm going to do to solve my wired rear speaker issues. My preliminary installation was with the equipment sitting on my living room floor with no major obstructions to hurt performance. Unboxing the piece, I found easy to read instructions and a simple 5 minute setup. After setting it up, it took about 30 seconds for the two pieces to connect before functioning properly. Once the transmitter and receiver were synced, I fired my surround sound up and instantly heard a slight delay in the rear speakers. My advice to customers who already have a surround sound system is to check and make sure you can alter speaker latency before purchasing this piece. You will have to delay your wired front speakers a bit because of the delay to the wireless rears. That aside, we continued watching our basketball game all while ignoring the echo-like delayed rear sound. Soon after setup, the system began malfunctioning. It was popping and cracking like crazy. I turned it off and powered it back on. The interference or whatever it was ceased. We continued watching the game until the sound started cutting out. This is when I decided in my head that it was going to get returned, but I left things connected, hoping it wouldn't interfere much more until I had a chance to disconnect it at halftime. This didn't work, though. The system began popping and cracking again, making all sorts of terrible noises. I immediately got up and started re-boxing the package. It's halftime right now as I write this, but as soon as the game is completed, I'm returning this thing for a refund.

This thing is great. I can't run rear wires for my surround sound. This is a great item. I finally have my rear speakers in the rear!

I used this in my home theater for the rear speakers. It works well and sounds relatively good. It is also a big plus to not have to run speaker wire through the walls in the house we rent. The only downside is the power cord was frayed in the first one we bought. Simple hassle free exchange got us one with out that issue.

Sends music to remote speakers a good 50 feet away. Works reliably and well. Replaced a prior version that worked for over 5 years with 8-10 hours of usage every day.

Ok. I am no tech wiz, but am better than the average bear. I'd like to preface this by saying my hubby does not like to read instructions, and has proven this time and time again. I am sitting here, listening to my new speakers that are hooked with the Rocketfish, typing on my laptop connected to my wireless internet via Linksys router, in my basement. Thus NO PROBLEMS with connectivity. I can also talk on my cordless landline and my mobile phone. When you connect this make sure you put the sender and receiver in the correct positions- hence the non-instruction reading comment above. Other than that, it's great, no wires, no problems!

Great having not to run wires across/around room

Our family room has two ways through it and the old wires were under a rug at one doorway. Now there are no wires. Worked right out of the box with no issues.

It doesn't supply the power needed to the rear speakers you would get from a direct wired speaker. It maxes out before your receiver and speakers. If you're not looking for a professional quality wireless rear speaker system, it is a good fit for your needs.

Sounds great, connects properly, but it interfears with my wifi. I was happy with not having exposed wires (I live in a Town House) and my home theater system sounded great. Almost immediately I had problems with my Roku and computers on my wifi system. I did all the usual resets but nothing helped. I found that there were others that had this problem. I turned the RockFish transmitter off and my wifi works great. Turned it back on and problems started again. I would not get this system if you have a lot of wifi connected devices.

Hooked up to my TV . Have a lot of airport noise and needed speakers closer to the back of the room to drown out the outside noise. They work great! I have the set hooked up to a couple of BOSE speakers, and the sound is theater like. One comment. My relatively new flat screen doesn't have audio out ports, so I plugged into the cable box audio out ports. You do need a receiver to amplify the sound. I used an old receiver that I had in the garage. A remote would be a nice edition as now I have to shut everything off manually.

    Excellent Value for the Money

OK, so the design of the main room in the house we bought would have made it darn near impossible -- or at the very least really inconvenient -- to run wires for surround sound... and this solution seemed like an inexpensive option. Thus far it has worked flawlessly and we even picked up a second unit for use at my mother's house. This sound quality of this unit probably not as great as running wires directly, or opting for a unit that costs a whole lot more, but hey... it has worked well thus far and hopefully will continue to do so.

Because of the way our home was built, this makes it possible to have a great surround system without all of the wires running around the room.

This wireless speaker kit does not work! I returned two of them! I called Rocket Fish after the first one and they said I must have bad unit so I tried again with same result on 2nd one! This technology does not work. I even turned off all wireless devices in room to exclude interference and still nothing. Transmitter and receiver had blue light lit but no sound. The units were literally 11' apart from each other. I even changed wires, checked connections and hooked up speakers directly to the receiver - they worked fine. I wouldn't consider myself an expert with electronics but I am highly affluent and I'm telling you this system does not work! I'm going back to the wired method under the carpet for rear speakers!
