    Speakers pop occasionally

I got this, because I didn't want to rip up my carpet and install wires, but looks like that's what I have to do this weekend. The unit sounds great, but the speakers pop frequently. I returned my first unit, but the second unit has the same issue. I don't know if it's interference or what. I leave the sender and receiver unit powered on and it pops even with the A/V receiver turned off, so I know it's not the source material or the A/V receiver. It's something in the sender or receiver unit that causes the pop.

We are pleased with this product. The associate at Best Buy recommeded this product for our new home theater system. We were surprised after spending so much on the system we would have to spend another $100 on this.

Great Idea, Just doesn't work well!

Hooked this up within minutes- this was the best part of the unit. The volume to the rear speakers was perfect. The speakers kept making a crackle sound almost as if they were blown. There is not much room for adjustments, basically volume up and down. I tried the volume in every position, I just could not get the crackle sound to stop. It may have been caused by the cordless phone, 1 out of 5 cell phones in the house, the two wireless router signals in the the house 1. from internet and the other one for media equipment. I disconnected the unit and threw my kid into the crawl space now I am hard wired and everything sounds great.

An excellent choice if wire placement is an issue. I reviewed several wireless products before buying this system. I am very pleased with it's performance and price.

This is a great solution for rear channel speakers at twice the price.

    Mixed Feelings

This product is a fantastic product if you're using a low powered home theater in a box (HTIB). However, if you're using floor standing units, decent bookshelves, or a mid/high end set of speakers with any impedance; this is NOT a a good product as it will clip your speakers terribly.

very good system, eleminates wires and produces rear speaker surround sound although not as good as a store bought system with wireless speakers.

    Not so good

Although the wireless aspect works ok, the clips for the speaker wires on both transmitter and receiver are cheap and come apart quite easily. Once when trying to reassemble a clip on the transmitter, the spring went into the box, rendering the system useless.

    Poor Longevity

Have gone through 2 so far, power supply on big unit burns out after about a year. A great concept works as listed through doors and into my garage for tunes but poor power unit, get warranty if good for more than a year and doesn't cost half as much as unit. Not sure if I'll buy a third, I demand longer life from my electronic's.

Not 10' through a hollow wall.

Just got this home and hooked it up. Trying to get sound to my home speaker system from my bonus room tuner to the hookups in a closet. The units are literally less than 10' apart through a standard hollow sheetrock wall and the sound is intermittent if it is there at all. I'm not sure how they work with line of site but I wouldn't bet on anything close to 100 feet.

    Needs more power

I bought this wireless kit because well, wires suck. It seems like a good idea but I have a 700 watt system, the rear speakers are 70 watts each, not enough power comes out of the tiny little rear end reciever for it to power them. they need a higher end model. Most systems now are higher watts just do a search on bestbuys site and you'll see.

    Terrible Connection

    Posted .

I had a terrible connection between the sender and receiver. Sound was always cutting in and out. I could never have a constant connection for more than a few minutes which is extremely frustrating when trying to listen to anything. I live in an apartment so maybe there were too many wireless signals going around but I just couldn't get any consistency out of this setup. I even moved my wireless router to another room but that still didn't help. I guess there is no substitution for the good old wires.

    Waste of time

Purchased the kit, it was simple to set up. Red lights immediately went solid so communication should be established. No sound. Returned the product thinking it was defective. New kit, same story. Checked every possible wire connection, even changed out to different wires. Found the customer support line, after having to supply personal information, they told me if the red lights are solid, the product is working, end of story. I should take it back to Best Buy is their response. Too much time has been wasted already, it is being returned for good and I am out the $10 shipping and handling I paid.

NO WORRIES ABOUT TOO MANY WIRES TO HOOK UP. (UNDER THE CARPET OR COMING OUT FROM THE WALL.) YOU CAN HIDE THE UNIT ANYWHERE. WITHIN 100 FT FROM YOUR MAIN UNIT.

Rocketfish Rear Speaker Unit Stopped Working

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Purchased this product at advice of the Best Buy salesman. Worked great with my Yamaha sound system for 5 months. Then one day the rear unit just stopped working for some unknown reason. Almost like it blew out or something. Taking the unit back to Best Buy to see if the'll exchange. If you buy, save your receipt. Hoping this was just a weird fluke.

3 Units... All stopped working after a year...

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I've bought three of these units and every single one has died within a year or right after the lapse of a year. It's ridiculous to keep having to buy a new one, just to eliminate the hassle of not running wires 20 or 30 feet. I could have saved myself a bunch of time and hassle had I just done it from the first place. It'd be great if BestBuy actually stood by their products, but even after contacting customer support I was basically told that I'd have to buy another one ... that they would do nothing... I've quit buying from Best Buy because of support like this.

    Unable to get synced

Purchased this item and set up according to directions. Could not get both channels to work. Tried different speakers and switched channels and was only getting sound in one channel. The other channel was VERY muted and was consistently poor in all configurations. We did attempt to return the item and exchanged it for another and the problem still existed. Range was just under 19ft and we moved around the equipment to see if there was unexpected interference. Never resolved problem so returned product. Seems like it is a great product and we had a circumstance that did not allow for it to function correctly with our Denon AVR 1912, Verizon FIOS cable, PS3, and Apple TV.
