Great sound. Tons of WiFi interference

I bought the rocket fish about 1 1/2 months ago in order to avoid paying someone to come out and replace some worn rear speaker cables. It installed easily, and it has great volume output with an excellent sound quality. I WOULD NOT purchase this product if you are dependent on WiFi like I am. From the moment I installed the rocket fish, my internet speed plummeted. At first, I thought it was my router because it was old. I upgraded to a well known, high performance wireless N router. I also upgraded all of my WiFi dependent equipment to wireless N as well. My internet speed was still terrible. After reading on the rocket fish website as well as other websites, I turned off my rocket fish and isolated my strongest WiFi channel on my router (speeds between 17-20Mbps). I went downstairs and turned the rocket fish on and it went back down to 2-3Mbps. I conducted multiple speed tests with and without the rocket fish turned on and I got consistent results every single time. This product DOES NOT run interference free as advertised. It WILL interfere with your WiFi.

great alternate use for wireless speaker device

I bought this wireless set up to listen to speakers in another room. I have it hooked up to my 5.1 channel receiver that I use for all my equipment. I hooked up the front speakers to a switch box to alternate between the 2 front speakers from my regular set up in the living room and 2 alternate speakers set up in my studio, several rooms. I can listen to my music, TV, radio in the living room as usual, 5.1 channels. Then, When I am working in my studio, I use the switch box to divert the sound from the two front speakers to this rockefish wi-fi device, which then sends the signal to the 2 speakers in my studio. I listen to music, etc. being played on the main living room receiver while I am in the studio. Yes, the other 3.1 channels are playing in the living room, which is not a problem WHILE the 2 speakers in the studio are playing what would have been on the front speakers in the living room. Ta-Da! Works great, I'm very pleased with my purchase. Does exactly what I needed.

Wanted to enjoy the benefit of nice quality rear speakers but did not want any wires running from front of room to back. This system solved the problem and delivers GREAT sound. Setup was a snap and I found the ability to adjust rear speaker settings on Rocketfish a real plus when combined with our Onkyo Receiver. Nice quality, easy to use, and good price = GREAT VALUE. Highly recommend...you'll be amazed!

There really isn't a whole lot of detail needed for this device. Rocketfish had made an affordable device that does exactly what it says. I have this hooked to my Samsung HT-AS720 and it works flawlessly. You would think it was designed for it. It has its own adjustable volume, and its size and range makes it convenient to place almost anywhere, even another room. My only complaint is that it does not have a remote or an IR sensor, so unless you leave it on, you have to manually turn on/off both pieces of the receiver for use each time. Luckily it is a low-power consuming item. Great product overall, though. I highly recommend it!!

First of all for those who have previously reviewed. There's Wireless Speakers AND then there's wireless speaker "kit" This one is a wireless speaker kit ... If you are looking for complete freedom from wires .. there's no such thing by the way.. IMHO This product rocks... I am very sensitive to distortion and whats called noise.. and this product did not disappoint me at all !!!! I have some real expensive home theater setup and I moved into a new home. I really didnt want to run any wires to the back of my living room which would look real ugly...This product has helped me achieve the freedom from those long running wires from my receiver to my rear surrounds. There is no loss of quality or sound ... Here's what I did.. I connected this to my rear speakers and only kept my rear surrounds connected and disconnected the front speakers, and my sub so I could only hear the rear surrounds. Then I played some surround content (any good dvd has surrounds).. Voila these played without distortion.. While playing music I made some phone calls from my cordless and also turned on the microwave to see if there is any distortion and I could not feel any... I also hid this behind my sofa and still worked without issues... although the receiver / transmitter should have clear line of sight ... The only thing lacks is the remote.. I need to keep the receiver and transmitter on forever.. and cannot turn on / off remotely.. but this does not take that much power... Overall great product for the money.. Highly recommended....

I wasn't sure about this unit since I haven't used this or any other before. I was pleasantly surprised how well it worked and how easy it was to set up. Instant sync and crystal clear with no issues.

I have been looking for a product to do what this does for several years. I had previously bought a solution that was not digital and obviously it did not perform well. Most of the other wireless options functioned as remote speakers using RCA plugs rather than true surrounds. I found this product last week and immediately ran out and bought it. Setup was very easy. I didn't read the manual; just plugged everything in and turned it on and it worked. No switches to set, no syncing, no channel selection, etc. It just worked! The only adjustment I made was setting the volume properly. The price seems a little steep considering the simplicity of the solution but for something that works so flawlessly I think it's well worth $110.

I got this product as a gift (that I asked for) and I have been using them for a couple of months. Set up was pretty simple. I did have to manually link the transmitter and receiver, but that was simple as well. The product works pretty well. I adjusted my home theater system to account for the lag, but you would never know that the speakers were wireless if I didn't tell you. The only problem I have is that the speakers will sometimes make a crackling sound. It only happens when my electric oven turns on and off. It doesn't really bother me and I am happy with this product

Purchased this kit for the purpose of eliminating visible speaker wire. I usually stick with high-end audio named brand products, but this is just as good; so easy to setup and sounds great. Surpassed my expectations!

So I've had a HT for several years without getting the full effect as rear speakers weren't in behind viewers. Not now, bought this product and hover speaker stands and now I am in the middle of the action. I've got another room to do and this is the solution. No problem with my wireless network. Volume control on the sending unit allows you to easily tweak for proper sound level/effect. And I leave it on all the time, like my wireless network. Install it and forget about it. $100 and 30 - 60 minutes you'll be ready to sit down with your popcorn and enjoy a movie.

Great wireless rear speaker conversion! I was always interested in going wireless but just never did. I'm upping my 5.1 to a 7.1. All the other speakers are wired. I just bought some 40w bookshelf speakers and a pair of stands to put right behind the sectional since I figured using my heavy duty Klipsch bookshelf speakers would be wasted on this item. At first the sound didn't work and I thought "O crap this is going to be a research project to get them to work" but I noticed the receiver on this unit that wires into the rear speakers has a volume turn switch and they started working right away. I think the rear speakers sound great. I understand there is going to be sacrifice when going from wired to wireless. I just wanted the "essences" of sound using this wireless conversion kit because it is accompanied by 5.1 Klipsch speakers and a JBL subwoofer. Even without these, I think the wireless conversion kit would work well. The wireless conversion kit uses 2.4 Ghz. I haven't noticed any interference or strange noises coming from the speakers. Let me add that we have close neighbors and plenty of 2.4 Ghz wireless signals in my living room. The wireless conversion kit has worked like a charm. When playing my PS4, it's really cool walking in front of something and hearing the sound move towards the rear speakers. I haven't watched a movie yet but I'm sure it will sound great. Also, just watching TV sounds better than before. I would recommend these to anyone.
