This product solved my problem! Room configuration would not allow for a neat running of cables to surround speakers. The installation was very easy. I spent more time getting the wires fed through the surround speaker stands than on the install of the sender/receiver themselves. If you are using thick gauge wires you will need pin connectors as the holes in the receiver are too small for the heavier wire. Otherwise this was a very easy, cheap solution to a common problem. I have not experienced the hum others have reported. I have noticed an infrequent pop (once on each night of DVD watching) but, again, not as others have reported. Worked as advertised for me - easy, fast, cheap, problem solved!!!

I only needed it for a short distance (across my living room). Runs on 2.4 band like everything else. setup is quick and painless. Mine did not have any mounting hardware included. On some audio I have heard a little static or crackling but I think it was due to being encoded higher than the wireless could understand.

I had read many of these reviews before purchasing. I was nervous about the snapping, crackling, popping, hissing, possible wireless interference, and a glaring red cylon eye staring at me that the others had mentioned. I have a couple tiny Cambridge Soundworks rears that I really didn't want to run 100' of expensive flat wire that I would have to later paint, and then notice out of the corner of my eye. My couch sits about 14' back from a rear projection 65" with the rears on each side. I placed the speaker unit behind the couch on the floor and ran the speaker wires to it. I plugged the smaller transmitter unit into my receiver switched outlet and hooked up the tiny little stock wires to the sender. Powered the thing up and ran a test tone cycle. Everything worked. I had to track down a lazy connection (my fault) on the rear right, but after that was hammered out, everything worked fine.
I sampled several movies like the new star trek and even some podcasts through the Apple TV, sound was nice and clear with not delay I could perceive. So far so good. Any issues, I have the receipt and 30 days. Don't necessarily be afraid of these negative reviews, give it a chance and return it if it doesn't work for you. I do wish I could turn it off remotely, so it just stays powered on constantly.

I read a lot of reviews on this and some people seem to be having trouble with them. Im not sure how or why unless they have just received bad equipment. I love my kit, it was very simple to hook up, much easier than running cables and attempting to hide them. Using this on Kilpsch Icon bookshelf speakers and the sound is very clear, no noticable dely, and no problem with range issues. If you dont want to see wires running across your room to hock up your rear speakers this is the way to go.

I bought the Rocketfish™ Universal Wireless Rear Speaker Kit to hook up my Samsung rear speakers. It was $30 cheaper than the Samsung wireless kit and seems to work perfectly. It was easy to setup, and worked right away...I only had to increase the volume on the rear unit during setup so that it matched the other speakers. It now remains on so I don't have to touch it at all. I sometimes hear a small pop when I switch channels, but that could just be the speakers themselves. I have had no problems with buzzing or any other annoyance, and I use it with wireless internet, and 5.8ghz phone at the same time. Glad I bought this.

I am very pleased with this product. I use it for two speakers on my patio, with my receiver/amp inside the house. The distance between the transmitter and receiver is about 30-40'. It was easy to set up, and works great. The outside speakers are very basic, and the sound quality is no different than when they were hooked up directly to the amp. There is no delay in the sound being sent to the remote speakers.

Great solution for not running wires from the amplifier to the back location. Of course, there are wires from the receiver to the speakers, but generally this is a much smaller issue. This was EXACTLY the solution I was looking for, and it came at a reasonable price. Performance has been excellent - sound is criisp and clear. There's some propagation delay - but the manual explains how to adjust the device to compensate for your application. You're not going to power a dance hall with these, but they're very adequate for home applications

Bought this product in August 2013 strictly for my rear surround speakers. Had the product installed and mounted in less than 25 minutes. Sound tested several HD channels with Dolby Digital and it works perfect. Connected to Pandora/Netflix and volume tested it with no issues. Plays loud and strong. No interference from my wireless network like some reviews.
Go to Amazon for a good review on the difference between CD/MP3 sound versus surround sound. The instructions included don't explain the difference in sound between different audio sources. For someone who doesn't want to run wires, this is the best solution I've found for the money. Make sure you spend a few extra dollars to get the insurance.

We had replaced the carpet in our living room with hardwood floors and I wasn't able to run the rear speaker wires to the speakers. With a vaulted ceiling I knew that wasn't an option. Got the Rocketfish Wireless speaker system and solved the problem. Very easy to hook up, great directions and in a matter of a few minutes I had my rear speakers playing again. Sound quality is good, range is good and no interference with any other equipment in the house.
Highly recommended.

The units intent is to be unassuming and to do its job and it does just that. It can be out of sight or on the mantle and it will not be annoying to look at. The small unit goes near the front speakers while the larger unit goes near the rears. Worked as soon as the two units synced. I leave it running all the time and it has given me no issues. I highly recommend the unit.

ROCKETFISH HUGE WINNER

Hi
I set it up in about 5 mins and was amazed at the quality of the sound, I have a Kenwood 5.1 Home Theater System, I read there were some glitches with popping and Rocketfish staying on when the reciever was off. All I did was plug it in to the back of my audio reciever so when it's turned off, Rocketfish turned off as well, problem solved!
I did my research on this product, read many reviews and made sure this product was for me and would meet my needs. I found Rocketfish Rear Wireless Kit far exceeded my expectations! I feel I need to mention that there is no radio interference form my cordless phone, microwave or anyother wireless products in my home.
If you are looking for a rear wireless kit, this is it (for me anyway) I recommend highly, I have nothing negitive to to say about this product ... in short this is the best thing to happen to home electronics since the color TV :)
Try it, you'll love it!
Merry Xmas
Robert

Great wireless sounds for the price. I would like a remote to turn the system on and off, but the "on" and "off" buttons are easy to use. Very easy to set up. I really like the small transmitter box.

We recently moved into a new townhouse and I wanted a 5.1 home theater set-up. I didn't want to run wires to the rear speakers so I started looking into wireless speakers (Panasonic and Sony). I wasn't too happy with the reviews on these wireless HTIB's, so I was excited to stumble upon the Rocketfish Wireless Kit. Knowing this product was available, I was able to look at much higher quality speakers.
I ended up buying Orb Audio speakers and am happy to say Rocketfish works exactly as advertised. I have cordless phones and wireless internet in the same room, and never have any interference problems. My source is a PS3/Blu-ray player, and the wireless Orbs sound fantastic with Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD Master Audio pumping through them. I can hear a slight hum when the speakers are off, but only when I place my ear directly on the speaker. Overall I am very happy with this product and the price makes for a good value as well.

Outstanding product!!! It is very easy to set up and the sound quality is great. I did not experience any "delay" as others have mentioned with this type of product. I use it with a Yamaha 550 Watt Surround Sound Receiver and the rear speakers sound fantastic. I couldn't detect any difference from when the speakers were wired. I was very impressed and have been very pleased with the unit. I would receommend them to anyone looking to go wireless.

Since I have my own speakers, I wanted a wireless system that didn't come prebuilt with speakers. The Rocketfish is the second wireless type system I have purchased. With the first wireless system (not the Rocketfish) I spent about 4 hours just trying to get some sound beyond 5 feet. It was of such poor quality that I returned it the next day. I was wary about buying another wireless speaker system, but the features of the Rocketfish were great, so I decided to try it out from Best Buy. I was extremely pleased by the quality construction of the Rocket Fish. It was very easy to setup (just plug in input and output speaker wires) and it had great sound 3 rooms away from the sender unit. The receiver unit (the larger part) even has a volume control knob. By the way, the speaker input is left and right channel, so you can use the Rocketfish to broadcast any channel instead of just surround sound.

I wanted a wireless connection for the back channels of my home theater, so I asked a Best Buy employee in my local store for a recommendation. He suggested this Rocketfish unit and I've been very happy with the performance. This was my first encounter with wireless speaker technology and I found it very simple to connect and use. If you want to avoid running long speaker wires to the back channels of your home theater system, this unit will do the job for you for low cost and no sacrifice of sound quality. I'm really glad I bought it!

2 weeks in: I read so many reviews on this product because I desperately needed a wireless solution. We are renting a house and can't hide wires under the floorboard and I didn't feel like running wires on the ceiling.
The reviews for this product paint a pretty bad picture. Popping, wireless interference, and dying after a few months. While I can't speak for the last point yet (I will update my review if it does happen), I can say that I have had 0 issues with this product so far. It's actually been even better than I would have imagined.
Here's some explanations that might help others:
Popping probably happens because of the receiver volume set on the rear speakers to 100. Set it to 75 and then run calibration on the system. Never put any speakers to 100 or there will be distortion.
Wireless interference might happen and my router is only a few feet from the receiver itself. What I did was run a WiFi analyzer to help pick the best channel with the lowest interference. Once I did that, I haven't had any issues.
Again, this product works fantastic.Try it out yourself and cross your fingers it doesn't die on you like the other reviews mentioned.

As advertised, out of the box and plug the units in. Pairing per instructions (although very intuitive) and you hear sound out of the speakers just like that. I am using the unit to put sound to a screened in porch - I can smoke a cigar and watch the game through the glass door - and hear everything perfect. I left the unit on for a couple of weeks and it never lost the pairing.
