There really isn't a whole lot to say about the cover. It fits pretty dang well and provides good protection against regular wear and tear. As for how well it will protect the Surface Book during a fall, I couldn't say and I hope to never find out. I'm sure the results will be better than if it hit the ground without the cover. The only other minor complaint I have is how it fits at the hinge. When you have your Surface Book open for extended periods of time, you'll wind up with a roughly half inch gap. The hinge cover won't close all the way after being open for prolonged periods of time. It's not really a deal breaker for me. Just something that I noticed. I've attached a picture to illustrate what I'm talking about. That silver is not visible when you first put the cover on. It develops over time.

Excellent case, like many of you I read these reviews looking to protect my investment in a new surface book. Fits surface book like a glove. Protects pretty much every inch of it from falls. Does not cover screen so surface pen and touch capabilities are not affected. It not only protects a good looking sleek device but gives it an awesome new look with the mix of clear plastic and black lining and logos. Older People at office literally stare at it thinking it's some futuristic computer (which in many ways I guess it is haha). Holder for touch pen is rock solid never detaches like it did without case using built in magnets. But overall wonderful case in a market where there are few competitors at the moment. Even if there were doubt id switch they pretty much nailed it with this case visually, protection, functionality, and as I've mentioned with design it truly makes your device look wicked visually. Does not inhibit removal of screen for tablet mode in any way. Worth every penny, if shopping for a case for your expensive surface book look no further you found the one. Best buy has these in stock so I purchased from store, no wait on shipping. Little pricey but so far quality of all materials and functionality are well worth the price.

I just got this today so this is more of a first impression than a review. I will update this review as I use the case. First impression is good. The case is well-made and very rigid. Its two pieces. The keyboard protector snaps onto the bottom of the keyboard and snaps securely. The tablet protector will take a little technique and patience to get it installed correctly on the tablet so the power and volume controls are flush. I was concerned that the tablet protector would add weight to the already weak hinge and cause it to fail to hold the screen upright while in laptop mode but it's light enough and that never happened. I will say that the docking procedure is a slight pain in the butt now that there is a rubber protector over the hinge that has to be flipped under in order to attach the tablet now. You can use the rubber hinge protector to elevate the laptop slightly while working with it on a flat surface but I'm not sure if that's an actual feature or a side effect. I will leave you with this. Once this is installed on your Surfacebook, it will be very hard to remove (especially the keyboard protector) so make sure you're good with that. This is really a one of a kind product for the Surfacebook so if you want the best protection available, I think this is it.

I purchased this cover for my Microsoft Surface Book, and it really does a great job of protecting the laptop. If your looking for pretty or fancy, this isn't the cover for you, but if you want your laptop protected, I think it does a great job! Would be nice if they could add some different colors to it though.

Third cover I purchased for Surface Pro. The first competators coover was too complicarted to install and i gave up. Salesperson suggested the Urban Armour. First one purchased did not fit. it was for Surface not Surface Pro. This cover was easy to install and provides good protection.

I wasnt sure if it was going to be worth the ridiculous price, especially considering the reviews....but my experience is that this case fits perfect and I dont have any problems with the buttons or anything else. Also, it really does give great protection to the laptop!

Takes a little time to break it in and easily swap the screen around. It's a giant phone case that keeps the Surface safe

This cover comes in two pieces and is very simple to mount onto the laptop. The only thing that stood out to me is that the cover that goes over the unique hinge design of the Microsoft surface book does not attach to the top portion of the cover. This part of the cover easilly pulls back when not in use which exposes the laptop hinge; however, with all else considered this cover provides excellent protection and functionality as well with the surface pen holder.

This cover is great. Provides nice protection, it light, and has a good design. Overall very pleased with my choice.

Light-weight, protective, everything it says it is, sexy...

Very well protected case. Like most of its features, still having difficulty getting the tablet portion to seat correctly so the volume and power buttoms are difficult to hit sometimes.

I love this case. I like that it keeps it closed and secure. I haven't dropped it to see if it will protect it in that way but I like how it feels otherwise. Easy to remove and reattach the tablet from the keyboard with the case on. I didn't realize when they did the update for the Surface Book Pro with the Performance base would not fit this case. I tried to exchange it at Best Buy but they didn't have any of the Performance Base Cases in stock (for about 1.5 months) so I reached out to UAG and they hooked me up! I have use UAG for phone cases too and with those I never cracked a screen and I drop my phone a lot. That is why I was happy to see this as an option for my new computer.

Decent design that appears to add some solid protection with little weight. Installation was simple - just lay it out as pictured and take a minute to study the fit. That's four stars. One star penalty for being way too expensive for the value you get. I would give this four stars at a price of $50.

This Surface Book cover is great protection for your laptop/tablet It fits nice and tight but is still light weight. It also looks very good on the device.

Is a little tough to put on, but that’s to be expected since this is something that isn’t supposed to come off easily. Very strong and slim in design so it doesn’t make things bulky.

This case fits well and is easy to use. It is light and does not effect the use of the product.

Normally I love Urban Armor's equipment and cases, but this is an exception for the MS Surfacebook, not user friendly when trying to use it as a tablet, connected to the keyboard. As an active and mobile user, this along with the additional bulk is not ideal or favorable to a user.
