I go to the gym on a regular basis (6 days a week) for about 1-1.5 hours. I used to just use corded ear buds, but they always got in the way a bit and never stayed in my ear great. I gave a pair of white V-Moda Bassfit's a shot for the last week, and here is how they worked for me. Fit/Customization The Bassfit comes with a lot of ways to customize/personalize their fit. There are 4 different sizes of their BLISS (Bass Level Isolating Soft Silicone) earbud tips (XS, S, M, L), 3 different sizes of the silicone sport fins, and the ear hooks. Each earbud size is color-coded so they are easier to tell apart, and there are 2 sets of each size which is nice to have as a backup. I have a narrower ear opening so I stuck with the S (red) bud tips, which is what came preinstalled. For my first workout I just used the ear hooks to see how well they held in my ear during some cardio and floor exercise. I skipped not using the ear hooks because I don’t like how easily my plain earbuds popped out (the problem with a smaller ear opening I guess). I liked the fit of earbuds with just the hooks – they stayed put really well during the cardio session. The only time I ran into an issue was with floor exercises where I was on my back. Occasionally the cord would get pulled because I was laying on it, and that would cause the earbud to twist a bit. I would have to pause for a second and readjust them. For my next workout I popped the sport fins on. I used the middle of the 3 sizes – they are marked R and L, so you can tell which side they go on. There is also a little tick mark on the fin and on the earbud body to help with alignment. The fit was really comfortable, and I barely noticed the fins after about a minute of them being in. I went through the same workout as before – cardio was great again. This time during my floor exercise whenever the cord would get tugged the sport fin resisted twisting, and even sprung the earbud back into place. I have not removed the sport fins since I put them on – they are fantastic. I haven’t tried the earbuds with only the sport fins (no ear hooks) in a workout, but just wearing them around the office they feel more snug to my ear. I still prefer having the ear hooks, but not everyone likes them. Sound My old pair of wired earbuds were a set of Klipsch S4’s that I’ve had for years. The sound from those buds has always been great which is why I put up with the cord for so long. The Bassfit’s main sound claim is the bass output (hence the name). I have to say, I am a little underwhelmed. I just expected more kick from the buds, just based on what my S4’s put out (which is a bit more bass). Overall sound quality is pretty good. My music sounds great, and it’s fairly crisp and clear. They certainly push enough volume as well – max volume is way too much to listen to comfortably. The bottom end was just a little shallower than I expected. I listened to a decent range of music – classic rock, alt., heavy metal, rap, folk, and pop. I was happy with the sound quality across all the genre’s – even my heavy/speed metal sounded pretty good. As always, you take a hit in sound quality going from wired to Bluetooth, but it wasn’t too bad. The utility of going cord free outweighed the minor fidelity hit. Setup/Connectivity Setup with my Android device was pretty straightforward. I followed the instruction manual to start pairing. Within a minute of starting I had the device paired to my phone, and I was listening to music. Whenever I turn the buds on they reconnect within a second or 2. The range for the buds is pretty good. In a busy gym, with lots of interference from other devices, I still managed a 40 ft range before the connection started dropping in and out. Battery Life I have completed (8) 1-1.5 hour long workouts (10-12 hours total) on my first charge. I still haven’t run it out yet. The 11 hour battery life claim is pretty spot on. You could wear these in the office for the entire day, head to the gym, and still not run the battery out. Controls The controls are easy to master. The center buttons rules all. 1 click to pause/play/answer/hang up, 2 clicks to skip the song, and 3 clicks to go back a song. Whenever I turn the earbuds on, with a push of the center button, my phone goes straight into my music app and a single button click starts the music. Other Areas The Bassfit’s are designed for activewear, sweat and moisture should not affect it - they are not designed for wear in a shower/pool. There are magnets built into the buds to stick them together when you take them out – a nice feature for sure. The microphone does a nice job picking up your voice. I’ve had several phone calls while in the busy gym, and the other person said I came through loud and clear. The warranty also seems like a pretty solid deal – 1 year replacement (60 day test drive period as well), and the Immortal Life program gets you 50% off a replacement if you destroy your buds beyond the warranty period. Issues I have come across a few issues that I found to range from mild inconvenience to fairly annoying. A minor issue that I have with the sport fins. They tend to funnel a bit of sweat into your ear – more so than just plain earbuds. At least once or twice a workout I have to pull a bud out because of sweat getting into my ear. The benefit of the sport fin outweighs this negative for sure though. The cord has a length manager attached, but it’s kind of a weak design. It allows you to pull the cord to too small of a bend radius for my comfort. This is a minor issue. The last minor issue is the lack of a battery life indicator. There’s no way to tell how much juice you have left. Granted with an 11 hour battery life, you have to skip a lot of charging opportunities to have it die on you mid workout. The inline module is a little on the heavy side. Its weight tends to pull the cord to that side of your body, leaving you with an unequal length of cord on either side. The cord material helps it “stick” to your skin to resist this slippage, but the bouncing (combined with sweat) from cardio overpowers it. I probably readjust the cord position 5-10 times in a 20 min run. This is annoying, but I don’t mind it since it doesn’t break my focus, and only comes up during cardio. The tone that the earbuds play when you hit the max volume is insanely loud and sharp. My ears are sensitive to loud, high-pitched noises so this kills me. I just make sure I have the volume on my phone up enough that I don’t come close to maxing out the volume level on the ear buds. Huge annoyance for me. Final Thoughts The Bassfit’s are a well-made set of wireless earbuds. They have an awesome battery life. They are quite comfortable to wear for long periods of time thanks to all the customization options. The sound quality is quite good, and the microphone is certainly usable for phone calls. I had a couple of issues with the Bassfit’s. First of all, I wish they had more bass! The design of the volume control is a little too hefty, and it lacks any sort of battery indicator. The max volume tone is ridiculous, and needs to be adjusted. Despite these issues I still really like the Bassfit’s, and I certainly won’t be going back to my S4’s.

Right off the bat, let me say that I wanted to make this 4 and 1/2 stars, but it's whole stars only. I felt there were a couple of flaws that kept these Sportphones from real excellence. The V-Moda Bassfit bluetooth sportphones are necklace style in-ear earbuds that offer a comfortable and secure fit for working out and decent sound. Workout sportbuds have to be sweatproof and have to stay in your ear during exercise movement. This is where the Bassfit excel. They come with 4 different size eartips, 3 different size sport fins, and 1 pair of over-ear hooks. If these don't fit and stay in place, nothing will! I got these for working out and they don't disappoint! Using them at the gym for stretching, cycling, stairmaster, and weights (both free & machines), they stay put and have never fallen out or even required pushing back into my ear. I wear glasses and the earhooks, which are flat, are comfortable through the session. I just recently tried using the sport fins instead of the hooks and the they also worked very well. Pairing was very easy and the Bassfit can pair with two devices simultaneously, which I haven't tried. The controls are the best I've seen. There are 3 very well differentiated buttons with very positive feedback. The on-off button (push for on, hold 5 sec for off) also controls play/pause(1 push), ff/skip (2 push), rew/replay(3 push). It sounds complicated, but works really well and is easy. The other two buttons are strictly volume control and special functions (eg., pair with new device) in combination with the on/off button. The control module contains the microphone and is located only a few inches from the right earbud. This made it possible to drape the wire behind my neck. The buttons are easy to find by feel even when running. The sound quality is good; Clear highs, decent bass, but the midrange seems to be lacking. I listen to rock or metal usually while working out and some of the punch just seems to be missing. The whole package is very light although the earpieces are a little more bulky than many earbuds. Volume can go very loud, and there is no ambient awareness. For the gym that's fine, but for running, cycling, or other outdoor activities they may be a bit isolating. The microphone doesn't provide sound isolation, but it's location close to the mouth made phone conversations very intelligible to the remote party. Battery life is stellar. There is no indicator of battery level until you need to recharge (beeps), but I'm consistently seeing about 12 hrs out of a charge. One nice thing, the quick charge will give you 2-3 hours of playback with a 15 charge, which is about right for a workout. The earpieces are magnetic, so you can stick them together around your neck like a necklace. Nice for getting to and from the gym, or when you stop to listen to something or someone. The biggest downside, to me, was no app for controls or equalization. The sound quality was certainly adequate for workouts, but not stellar. The isolation from ambient noise is a concern for any activity where ambient awareness is a necessity, such as hiking or running. But for the gym, the V-Moda Bassfit really can't be beat.

The V-MODA - BassFit Wireless In-Ear Headphones do as they say and give you a stay in place fit. These earphones come with several different alternative earbud cushions to ensure a secure fit. They also give you different in or over the ear frames for your comfort. These have been great when working out and because they are water proof and they are not effected by perspiration. The battery life has been very good. More important is the sound quality and it is great. Deep bass that doesn’t overpower the highs. I like a verity of music from Jazz to Rock and these didn’t disappoint at all. They come with a carrying pouch to store the earphones, extra ear cushions and charging wire. Controls are straight forward with three button controls. Blue tooth pairing is easy and they seem to say connected to my IPhone from a good distance.

Pairing is straight forward, push the volume down button and the power button for 5 seconds to enter the pairing mode. I used it with my Samsung S8+ and was able to pair easily. Charging is done through the micro usb cable. You can hook it up to a computer or to a travel adapter. The headphones can be used with the fins, fins and ear hooks or just ear hooks. I think using both fins and hooks are comfortable. You have adequate fins and ear tips supplied with the headphones just in case you loose some. BUILD QUALITY I was very impressed with the build quality. It is very well packaged as well. The vmoda website claims this to be waterproof and sweat proof but I was not able to find information on the IP Rating SOUND I was amazed at the audio quality of this thing. I compared with over headphones and they are very much close in sound to over the ear headphones. Good punchy bass without compromising highs or mids. The headphones support Aptx. I was also able to test this out using the microphone feature by making a phone call and the other party was able to hear me clearly. I think this is a great feature to have. BATTERY LIFE The battery is rated at 11 hrs and was able to get 12 out of this thing. There is no battery indicator which says Full, Medium and Low (only a low battery indicator) to check what the level of the battery is which I think would be a good feature to have. There is a quick 15 minute charge for 2.5 hours of run time and this is a good feature to have when you are going to rush to the gym and realize that you have run out of battery! VERDICT I think overall this is a good product with excellent battery life and good quality sound.

Overall 4.8 out of 5 for the class of "Bass enhanced activity earbuds." Wear and comfort: It took some time to actually read through the manual and figure out all the ear pieces and options to fit the earbuds to my head. That said, once you get a starting point for comfort it does take some time to work out the subtle adjustments. Like any headphones, these may or may not be the most comfortable for any one specific personal fit. It took me several sessions and time wearing these on different occasions to figure out the exact combo that works best for me. Lately I’ve just been using the ear bud itself, without the full ear clip or in ear insert. Even at the gym, these stay in for me with just the ear bud. I do keep the rubber in-ear inserts with the carry bag, just in case. I have worn these a full day without any discomfort. Category of ear bud comfort = 5 Battery Life Incredible. These have an advertised 11hrs + run time and offer quick charge. I’ve used them for 8+ and 9+hour days with no hindrance to quality or volume. They charge amazingly fast. Within an hour of full drain, they are charged up. I have yet to be in a bad spot of no charge. Battery and charge times = 5 Bass Solid; biased, not too tight, not too mushy and plenty of it. Example of my go-to stations on Pandora / TIDAL are “So Fresh, So Clean” and “Metallica” Radio. Yea, 80’s/90’s old school and Metal. Which means there’s plenty of Bass and beats to keep these earbuds busy. These earbuds crank out an amazing amount of bass for the size and all things. Very nice job and bass lovers can rejoice! Bass = 5 Overall Dynamic Range Something is missing above 5KHz +. It’s not that the high end is gone or totally missing, just that the accuracy of reproducing specific high notes is not there. I’m not going enjoy sitting down listening to some of the more easy, full range favorites. Even when adjusting with an EQ app, there are just those specific frequency of having a separate HF driver reproducing the sound that a full range, single driver device cannot. This being said, these headphones are colored toward bass and though they do a decent job trying ro reproduce the full range, they are not HF - calm space listening devices to pick out the subtle notes. Understandably the intent of design is to crank out the jams, get you moving and put a smile on your face with the bass with minimal size and pieces. These are colored and biased sounding toward bass, period. They are not Multiple driver studio full ear headphones. Full range for an earbud class = 4.2 Overall Quality, Pros and Cons I was actually impressed with the packaging and presentation of the product. V-MODA has a good reputation for quality and solid gear. I didn’t feel there was anything taken away here, overall. However, the only negative I have is the plastic ear clip. It does appear and feels cheap. This is the only negative that stands out, IMHO. It feels like a design left over or they skimped on this. Could they have rubber coated it or maybe trimmed of the plastic connective lines, etc? Yeah – it just feels they could have done better on this one particular piece that I don’t use, anyway. The overall quality is there. You know you are not getting a knock-off, the electronics are solid – latest BT specifications, sound stays consistently tight and true from when you open the box and well after break-in. Most importantly the sound just rocks. Love the net carry bag, overall design – short cable, cable type, cable feel, charging port, buttons, sweat/water resistance, cable slack adjustment, magnetic coupling of earbuds for storage, etc. I expect a lot of use out of these for their designed intent, workout and on the go. If you are buying these to be a all-in-one solution for your listening needs, these are not it and let me know because I don't have a set that is an all-in-one. These are not Noise cancelling, full over the ear or studio headphones. These are colored for bass and best for working out or just cranking jams with solid bass lines. They are meant to be on the go and charge quick, whether from a wall outlet, car or portable battery; they charge with me, quick and on the go. Not for the budget minded or those who don’t like a lot of bass. If your looking for the cheapest bang for your buck, these are not them. If you really are looking for a more-full range and not colored bass – stay with larger headphones or maybe try a different set of earbuds. Just too much bass for those who may be sensitive to it. If you love your beats, bass and don’t mind dropping the coin for an original quality set of great earbuds that will stay in your ear and give you long hours of super Bass charged music – these are them. You have to like bass. And if you love bass, I can’t imagine a better rechargeable earbud that weigh just about nothing and can deliver this kind of bass. Quality Feel 4.8

I was so impressed when I tried out the over the ear units with their profound sonic reproduction down to the low low beats that I was expecting a lot from these bassfit in-ear wireless units. I can safely say, these units are surprisingly powerful and live up to their name. The bass thumps rich and powerful as if you were at a rave listening to Tiesto! They're not just good for their size, they easily rival most larger units. I like the jewel box and custom fit nubs and auricular prostheses. They look great when not in use due to their magnetic attachments. The 3 button interface is straightforward, works well, and makes pairing a breeze. The best pair of in-ear units I've tried!

To start this off, I enjoy good audio, as everyone should. I’ve used a lot of wireless earbuds, from almost every brand that Best Buy offers, and so far nothing compares to these. I like to go running and I have always struggled to find a good pair of earbuds that fit well, stay in place and sound great. You’ll usually have to trade sound quality for fit and it would drive me crazy. These earbuds have plenty of combinations for the fit. You can use them as the regular ear bud style, or an over the ear hook like what the Powerbeats use, or even an in ear hook like Bose, or even both styles at the same time. So they get a A+ in the fit department. Now the audio stuff... These buds offer a good all around sound. They offer good highs, enough that I hear a bit of everything without and distortion. Now they are earbuds, so they can’t be perfect, but they’re as close to perfect as they can get in highs. Mids are spot on, but then again it’s hard to mess that up, so it rounds everything out really nice. And the lows sound how they’re meant too. There, but not overpowering when they don’t need to be. Overall 10/10 would highly Recommend to anyone looking at $200 or less earbuds.

Love V-Moda! The bassfits are awesome! Excellent sound stage. The fit and function on these is on par with Powerbeats and yet I bought these (white and black) for less than than what Apple thinks is reasonable price for a pair of workout wireless headphones. I would buy these again for sure. I will mention that the controller on the one side does tend to hang up against my skin when running, but it’s not a deal breaker

Summary: The design is great, the sound is great, the connectivity is great, the comfort is so so. Package: The box has an interesting design in a hexagon shape. There a LOTS of ear inserts for these headphones which is great for finding the right fit. Inside you will find the headphones (I got the white, great look on these), a thick cloth carrying case, ear fins of various sizes, ear tips of various sizes, a micro USB charger (not USB C unfortunately), and the ear hooks. You will also find some booklets in multiple languages for registration and quick start. Setup and connectivity: The setup is pretty seamless. I tried it on my One-plus One 6t and my Xperia XZ2 Compact. I did not encounter any issues in pairing with either device. Both devices instantly defaulted to APT-X codec for improved sound quality. For info, these also support good old fashioned SBC and also AAC for iPhones. AAC and APT-X are relatively rare I have found in headphones of this size so it is great to see! Comfort: I experimented a bit with the different combinations as you can use it with just the ear tips, with a fin, with a hook or any combination. So I was not one bit concerned about these headphones falling out at the gym! Everyone will be different here but I found the fin / hook combo they advertise to be overkill since I get great stability with either one. I tend to prefer the ear fin only option though as it is comfortable for me. One downside I found is that I highly recommend you be careful when removing the different sizes of earbud tips. The ones that came on by default easily ripped when removing them or if you snag them with a finger nail while adjusting. I am not 100% certain of the durability of these and I would expect tears if you change them out a lot for some reason. Luckily the one that ripped was not the size I needed so it did not cause any real issues for me. You can buy replacements on the website for $5 but I would actually expect to need these at some point with these headphones unfortunately. The device is also mostly hard materials. The ear fins and earbud tips are soft but the ear hooks are hard and not very mold-able for your ear. I found the hooks are best for stability but also the most uncomfortable option. The Base of the earbuds is larger than most headphones I have tried so if you have small ears this might be painful as I got some discomfort for long periods of wear. Do not wear them to bed as it hurts quite a bit at some point as I found out. Sound quality: Great overall for their size! As mentioned earlier, APT-X is a great addition. I am not sure what version of Bluetooth it is using but I am thinking it is not 5.0 since range is limited to 30 feet like previous versions of bluetooth. Bass is as advertised and sounds more like Beats to me. There are 10mm drivers which sound clear, punchy and lively. I switched to SBC mode and I noticed there is more static so I highly recommend you use it with APT-X or AAC since I experienced no issues under those codecs. The only side of sound quality I found to be lacking was on the highs. The bass and mids sound outstanding but I have to pay extra attention to notice highs, mainly percussion Gym use: I am not a huge runner but I spend a lot of time on bikes, weights, stairs and rowing. I had zero issues for comfort in the gym once I found a good combination. I felt great about the water resistance of these headphones. The ear tips can block a decent amount of sound if they fit properly but just remember these are not designed to be fully noise cancelling so you will still get some outside noises bleeding in. The controls on the device are nicely placed on the right side and do not weight the headphones down at all. Battery life is outstanding! I really wish they put USB-C into it though so I can downsize the number of cords needed in my life. Great value to be found here, great sound quality. My only down check is for overall comfort and durability. People love the looks of these btw!

It has been a good long while since I got a new V-MODA product. My first V-MODA headphones were a set of over-ear headphones that was arguably the first of my foray into more advanced, more quality headphones. Ever since that first pair of headphones, I’ve kept an eye on V-MODA. When that model of over-ear headphones went wireless, then noise cancelling, I was strongly considering the purchase, but never pulled the trigger. And today, that same pair of headphones is now regularly used by my son; I have no doubt they will last long into the future for him. But now, in the age of truly wireless earbuds being the defacto standard, V-MODA is back with the Bass Fit Wireless In Ear Headphones, a competitor to the countless non-noise cancelling, in ear, cable-around-the-back-of-your-head headphones on the market today. And at $129, the case for them has to be compelling: they are right in the middle of the market in terms of price range, but they’re not as well known a brand as Beats, Bose and Jaybird (to name a few). The packaging was as unique an experience as my first V-MODA product: simple, expensive-enough (but not to the extent that it seems that I’m paying for the packaging), and defined by a very modern design and color set. The buds come in two color themes: white/gray, and black/orange. Both themes are sharp to the eye. There are two big things I expect out of the product based on its name alone: the bass performance should be good, and the fit should set it apart from the competition. In terms of design, these headphones come with a good number of ear tips and fins, far more than anyone will ever use. This isn’t the type of product you accessorize: it’s the type of product you fine-tune and never change again, and thanks to the plethora of fit options, I would guess that a good fit is going to be achievable for most. The accessories all drive forward V-MODA’s “Trifit ergonomics,” focusing on three main components: ear tips, ear fins and ear hooks. The idea is, you can use any combination of the accessories, which come in multiple sizes (with the exception of the hooks, of which there is only one set), to customize the fit to your liking. If I’m being honest, it almost seems like there are too many options…but to V-MODA’s credit, I found an impeccable fit utilizing tips and fins that were perfect for me. I removed the hooks entirely and left them in the packaging, as I have no use for them—nor do I have concern that my customizations will result in them wiggling loose from my ears during any level of physical activity. This style of earbud: the cable-around-the-back-of-your-head type that is heavily marketed as “workout” headphones, really annoy me. Maybe not as much as collar-style headphones, but still, I’m not sure what it is about these that just don’t work for me: regardless of how much I cinch the cable to raise it off my neck, it always catches on my skin when I turn my head back and forth, tugging on one ear or the other and ultimately breaking the nice seal provided by the ear tips. It’s not a huge deal I admit—they definitely aren’t in danger of falling out—but it’s at least enough to mention. In terms of audio quality, considering that I like the lower end of the spectrum when it comes to music listening, these perform admirably. In fact, that’s my exact experience with my first pair of V-MODA over-ear headphones which had 50mm drives to really get the point across. What seems to be different, though, is that I can hear the bass but I can’t feel it—and it’s really kind of weird. It’s not bad by any means; most of the time, lower-cost earbuds that don’t carry a lot of weight leave something to be desired in bass performance, but that’s not true with the Bassfit Earbuds. I may not be able to really feel the rumble of the bass, but through some calibration of the buds V-MODA has been able to deliver an experience that is certainly a step above other lower-cost earbuds. The mids and highs also perform admirably; at 75% volume these headphones get pretty loud (enough to make up for not being noise-cancelling), and there is no loss of clarity or reduced experience. At 100% volume, things start to get a bit questionable, but it’s not a personally sustainable volume, so that’s not a huge deal. Then there are the other performance metrics, like battery life and Bluetooth capabilities. V-MODA advertises 11 hours of battery life, but I was getting probably half of that listening at 50-75% volume on regular basis, with a mix of audio and video content being consumed. At 25-50% volume for music only (if you want to use these at the gym), you’ll probably only need to charge once or twice weekly if you workout daily. And because the battery isn’t a high-performer (in my opinion), it charges pretty quickly. They are very lightweight, and some of that is because the battery is not as big as it could have been. The bluetooth version seems to be 4.x, although it’s not disclosed by V-MODA on the packaging or their website. The earbuds can be paired to two devices at the same time, but handoff between those devices is a bit labor intensive. I also found them to perform well for video consumption, as there was no old school Bluetooth delay that some other headphones on the market still have. The onboard controls are basic, and can also tap into your smart assistant; I found that performance to be average and good enough for most. The quality as a headset—for taking calls, etc.—is less than ideal; while my audio experience was fine, callers complained about me sounding like I was under water or being too far away. Even after adjusting the position of the in-line mic closer to my mouth, the experience didn’t improve. And, what would an audio review be without the complaint of not using USB Type C for charging? These still use Micro USB. I also find it peculiar that V-MODA doesn’t have a companion app; there is no intended customizability for these straight out of the box, which could be a good or bad thing depending on the type of listener you are. In terms of recommendations, these ear buds do the basics really well: great audio performance, perfect fit, and good enough battery life. I wouldn’t mind a bit more battery in exchange for slightly more weight, and adding Bluetooth 5 (officially) would make them better in terms of audio performance as well as lower in the power consumption department. Call quality was average at best, although this is probably not something you would buy with that in mind (primarily); it would be good enough to “get by” when needed. But at $129, I don’t know if these are the best choice on the market. My last pair of headphones from V-MODA were about the same price, and I would take those over the Bassfit earbuds without hesitation (to be fair, they are totally different products, but still worth mentioning). At $100 I think these are a good value, so maybe if you have a gift card or some reward points and can reduce the price tag a bit, that would certainly help. I’m happy I have them, but I don’t think I’ll use them much.

These earphones offer excellent sound reproduction. The music tonality is very clear and crisp, a joy to listen to. Range is advertised at 33 feet, and I can verify that is no hype. Mine are paired with an Echo Show in my living room, and they work out on my deck with no loss of sound quality. The sync was very quick. A lot of peripherals come with the V-MODA: carrying pouch, USB cable for charging, and to ensure a proper fit, there are 4 pairs of ear tips in different sizes, 3 pairs of “sport fins,” and 2 detachable ear hooks. For me, the default sizing as it comes out of the box works very well. Another notable asset is they are resistant to sweat, rain, temperature changes, and UV rays. So, rain or shine, you are good to go outdoors. On the other side of the equation, for the price one would think there would be a plug provided with the USB cable to facilitate use of an outlet. The earphones are not noise cancelling. Also, they wirelessly connect to the music source, but they are wired to each other. That connecting wire contains the usual volume and phone response buttons, which due to positioning are not quick and easy to get to. My personal preference is total wireless. That said, the feature does not adversely affect the excellent sound reproduction.

Context: I am not an audiophile and use my headphones in 2 settings- at work to block out the cube farm noises and when running by myself for an hour or more. The BassFit headphones excel at work- the sound is rich, the bass is strong, they're much more comfortable for longer periods than any others I've tried and they do a great job of isolating/blocking out other noise. The high level of potential customization ensures that one can get just the right fit for just the right sound (though, be aware, as I was setting mine up, I was thinking that the same customization may drive a few of my more obsessive friends crazy) While running, they met the #1 criteria of simply staying in securely (a struggle I had when trying to find the right pair without spending a fortune). My main complaint was simply that I knew (from work above) that the sound is really good, but couldn't get that same sound experience when running. To be clear, they are at least as good as any other pair I've taken running, but given how good they sound when I'm simply listening at work, I was slightly disappointed that I couldn't replicate that sound.

Sound quality is amazing. It took a couple uses to get more comfortable.

- I wear earbuds mostly riding my bike. My biggest complaint with another brand is the cord sticks to my neck and is uncomfortable then pulling against my skin when I turn my head, not the V-Moda's! I can turn my head freely without any ill affects so that is a major win for me. - the actual fit in the ear is perfect. I hardly feel them in my ear and they don't fall out with the bendable wrap around my ears. - the sound is great. With my iphone I think I would blow my eardrums if I put them to max volume. - battery life is unmatched at 11-12 hours blowing away my previous brand for a similar price. The charging connection is on the volume control which threw me trying to find but makes sense with the power switch right there as well. - durability is my unknown yet. the ear pieces are hard plastic and seem durable so only time will tell. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a comfortable set of earbuds for workouts.

Been using this headset over the last week and I am impressed with its sound and fit. I use it at the gym so moving around a lot, it always stays in place. The sound is very high quality and bass is excellent. Set up is very simple and the controls the perfect size. Synched immediately to my cellphone and had no issues. Extra ear buds are provided to ensure a custom fit. The only reason I did not give this five stars is because of its price point I feel they should have included the power plug itself not just the cord which can be plugged in to any USB charger or power plug. Otherwise a good quality item.

Love it but wish it would notify my phone at like 50 or 40 percent battery life instead of 10 percent

This review is based on using these headphones for sports, chores, music, and audio conferencing. In the box you'll find the headphones, a carry bag, 8 pairs of in-ear buds, ear hooks, and 3 sets of "fins" in S, M, L sizes. While this may be exciting to have so many options, it took me almost a week to find the right size / fin / bud / hook combination to make these comfortable while staying in place during movement. The good news is that there is a size and fit option that will work for almost anyone, one just has to have patience to find it. I firmly believe you won't find a more secure set of sport headphones. I have worn these headphones while working outside, in the barn, and for conference calls at work. I find the sound quality solid for the price. I would consider these mid-range performance for range and depth of sound. For conference calls, I found voices to be clear yet slightly distanced as opposed to when I wear earphones designed for audio conferencing. My coworkers agreed that they could hear me clearly, however my tone was flat in comparison to normal. Battery life is 2 days of frequent use, at least 1 day of continuous use (I charge every night after a 9 hour day), or 1 week of seldom use. I find these to be plug and play, very easy pair with any blue tooth device. The charging port is easy to access, buttons are easy to find and select without looking, and respond as expected. Overall, I find these to be a solid set of versatile headphones.
