This fourth installment of the game, and only the second to be available on a home console, is just what every sequel of this franchise was supposed to be. The first game was so great but the next two faltered. This goes back to the original idea and gameplay of the first game and it does it well. If you like tactical turn-based RPGs, you need to own this game.

A fantastic Strategy game! Great Story, and Game play!

The game is enjoyable with the same gameplay mechanics that work best in this franchise. The addition of a mortar unit also adds to unit tactics and works both ways so plan accordingly. The bonus touch to the game is having to play as part of squad 7 with squad. Good way of tying in the 1st games story as large scale war feel to it.

Then you'll love this one! I never had the chance to play the PSP sequels but I did try the last one that came out on PS4 and I hated it. This game takes another approach from where the first one takes place and is just as fun if not better. Don't miss out on this one of you liked the first one!

Overall it is a great game, from the graphics to gameplay to the story. If you played the others before it you won't be disappointed.

This game does not disappoint. I got into this series from the start and this is one of the stronger titles in the series. It has all of the classic stuff you like from the ones before it and comes with a great story and customization options for your army.

Played the first game and it was something to be admired. A lot more unique with a third person view, and different than moving spaces/squares by using steps/distances. The story and characters are fantastic as well.

A return to form for the Valkyria Chronicles series that seems to be merely a carbon copy of the 1st game in the first few chapters but steps it up and shows you that is in indeed a true sequel and successor to the original classic

Amazing is all I have to say, loved the first game and this just feels so much better despite it being the exact same system and graphics. I welcome the old graphics, a new story is all I needed to enjoy this game.

but some of the voices and characters... have got to go. it's like they tried to mix the east with the west... and it just comes off weird now i can understand why Yakuza series uses subtitles maybe it's just me... but i found the voice acting to be really cheesy during combat. still a very good game though.

As a long time fan of Valkyria Chronicles, this game is a definite return to their roots. Really enjoyed the game and well worth the money spent for the Premium Edition.

If you played and enjoyed the first Valkyria Chronicles game, then you will also enjoy this one. It feels familiar and comfortable, like an old pair of slippers.

Great game and a really cool limited edition. If you like Turn Based Strategy games this is for you!

One of the most unique rpgs I've played. The combination of shooter, combined with turn based, really provides a unique and addicting experience.

Great game especially if you like the original Valkyria. Game play is similar to slightly more innovative. Would highly recommend

It's a great tactical role playing game if you're especially if you're looking for something new outside of the jrpg genre

Valkyria Chronicles 4 plays like the first game and adds a lot of quality of life features that make the gameplay better.

It’s hard to imagine, but this is better than the first installment. Definitely a must for lovers of the first game.
