Thanks to their willingness to price match with the competition, Best Buy has once again been my one stop shop for CD's and Blu Rays like this Van Halen remaster I picked up a few weeks ago, Rocking out to these guys has never sounded better!

Van Halen in the late 70's was the perfect counterbalance to Disco - loud, crazy, fun.

A must have for every music collection. The original band at its best.

What can be said about this version of Van Halen that hasn't been said already? This IS your Daddys VH. This is VH before bashed in noses on Jimmy Kimmel and Sammy Haggar. THIS is the Van Halen that caused Adam Sandler to quip in Wedding Singer "Take off my Van Halen T Shirt before you break up the band" This is Eddie and David taking all the energy from the debut album and ramping it up....Follow this up with Fair Warning and you will understand why Van Halen is so revered.

Maybe I am not an audiophile but it does not sound much different than than the last set of remasters. Also no addtional liner notes or bonus tracks. But if you don't have them classic Van Halen.

After their hugely successfull debut LP, the band had to somehow try to follow that up? They say you are only as good as your second LP? Well Van Halen put out an unbelievable follow-up album & took the rock world by storm in 1979. The disc included standout rock tracks such as "Dance the Night Away" " Somebody Get me a Doctor" and "Beautiful Girls". There was NO filler on this album, every song rocked!!

Not their best album, but it's still good. I think it's the weakest effort of the Roth era. Just my opinion.

The six albums with David Lee Roth on Warner Bros. were remastered two years ago. They sound terrific!

it's a pity that the store does not sell more CDs.
