If you like something different then don't overlook this movie. I don't think I had ever even heard of it and based on a recommendation I watched it.

Not a drastic improvement in picture quality (compared to digital HD), but decently noticeable, and consistently subtle, in every scene. Love the extras, love the sound quality. The 5.1 mix hits real good on the front, and sounds excellent at even a movie-theater's volume/loudness. Get it if you love this movie. If you don't remember this movie well, get it, cause it has aged tremendously well. I think critics just took the movie as a pretentious Tom Cruise flick like they saw in the trailers, and never truly immersed themselves into the raw emotion of the movie. When you go in expecting a crappy rom-com, it's tough to get out of that mood & mindset, even as the film morphs into a sci-fi thriller. Especially with Cameron Crowe directing, who everyone expected to just make more Jerry Maguire movies. They were all shocked then. Now? It's actually much better than many Oscar-winning movies of today.

I loved this movie and it was fascinating to see the alternate ending. The film quality is not as clear Hi definition as the rest , but let's you know when they have put back the scenes. I also liked the deleted scenes feature and the commentary by Crowe,and Wilson for the whole movie.

Very good movie. Watch the original version first. The extended isn't that bad. It adds a few things a describes more what happened but I felt it was better left open-ended. The extended picture quality was not that good at all. However, the regular version had one of the better transfer I have seen on Blu Ray.

I just bought the BluRay to replace the DVD in my movie collection. I think this was a good movie that messes with your head a bit and keeps you wondering what exactly is going on, or what to believe till the end. Very watchable and engaging. Some good supporting actors as well.

Takes more than one viewing to truly understand what the story is trying to convey. Interesting exploration of the human mind's ability to cope and survive. Reminds me of Memento, though. You have to follow along closing to track the story.

Paramount did another amazing job with a new scan of the film. This is a beauty I f a disc and absolutely reference quality.

One of those films that has such a terrific mystery speaking to its year....it’s stylish, unique, daring, and bold in so many great ways.

This is definitely one of those movies you need to watch a few times to understand and appreciate. Great performances and unique storyline make this movie an instant classic.

Hubby loves this film so I bought it for him with my Best Buy reward points. Can watch over and over to try to figure out. So, if you're so inclined, order a copy.

I actually got this DVD for my husband who enjoys watching “Vanilla Sky” whenever it is on. Now he can watch it 24/7. Quality good and online ease of purchase.

Fantastic movie and definitely a head scratcher. I loved it however and thought it was well done.

It was quite a surprise to see this movie bring me into it's world. It's a bit odd as it progresses but it will definitely explain itself by the end of the film.

This Paramount Presents blu-ray looks almost as good as a 4k blu-ray.

On okay movie the writing is okay. The ending you can see it coming from about half way through the movie.

I loved this movie when it was in the theater so you can imagine how I needed it for my collection when it was released on Blu Ray. A real thinker.
