1. Confirm that the drone and remote control are fully charged.
2. Turn on the drone first, then turn on the remote control
3. Shorten the distance between the drone and the remote control
4. Pair the drone with the app

For your concern, after finishing the compass calibration and gyro calibration, put the drone on a flat surface and go to Snaptain Nova App to check the GPS Signal, then wait for minutes. When the GPS signal shows 3 bars or more and the LEDs on the head of the drone turn solid on, the drone has found enough GPS satellites and is ready for taking off.

Posted .It's a decent drone. Does what is expected of it. Does not hover in one spot well even inside my living room. It is super light and a little underpowered so it flies away with very light wind and can't push back against it. Wind speed today was 3 mph and full throttle into the wind to bring it back to me wasn't enough to get it to even stay in place. Wind still slowly took it away. Still decent beginner drone and I'm keeping it though.

Decent Customer Service but Awful Device

In those single flights the GPS or compass malfunctioned, causing the drone to "toilet bowl" in large circles high in the air. I'm very lucky that the first incident ended with a high speed collision with a neighbors fence and the second with a high speed collision with a neighbors 10yd dumpster. Someone could have been injured or a vehicle or home could have been damaged!
