Give your home telephone provider the boot.

Pros: Setup of the box was caveman simple. The nice folks at Verizon helped me port my home phone number to the box. Call quality is excellent. The look on the cable company rep's face when I returned their phone equipment? Priceless! Cons: One-time activation fees? BOHICA! Home number porting process was unnecessarily complex. Instructions for setting up voice mail and using other call features like call forwarding were nonexistent.

Great way to discontinue your landline.

plug and play

Easy to set up
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this item to transfer my home landline to Verizon from another carrier. It was very easy to set up. However, I wanted to keep my phone number so I had to call a Verizon representative to have it ported over from my current carrier to Verizon. I was told by Best Buy and the Verizon representative that it would take anywhere from 12 to 72 hours for that to happen and in the meantime they would give me a temporary number. It's been a week. I would recommend this product only if you don't care about keeping your original phone number or you don't mind using a temporary number for apparently a long time.

Great for senior home
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had some issues getting activated, but my 88 yr old dad (with dementia) can now call my sister's and me when he's lonely. I've tried giving him a cell phone but, he cant seem to get it.
