The veneer/wood cabinet looks great and it feels solid. The unit is packaged with plenty of styrofoam and it is mostly assembled except for the 4 legs and the right side of the shelf. The legs screw in without tools. You will need a Phillips Head screwdriver for the shelf. Final assembly took me about 10 minutes. I bought this unit primarily for my Audio Technica turntable (AT-LP120XBT-USB-BK). The feet of the turntable fit right up to the ends of the top shelf so it is a perfect fit. There is about an inch of extra clearance at the front and the back. So far, I am enjoying this retro looking cabinet. The Bluetooth connected quickly and easily. The speakers project sound nicely from the Bluetooth and RCA inputs. In the Rock setting, there is a nice balance of treble and bass. I prefer the Rock and Normal modes. The Pop and Jazz setting both sound terrible with my set-up. I have not tested the other inputs. There is no display screen on the unit so you have to rely on the color-coded LEDs that are visible from the front. They are located inside the left upper corner of the speaker cloth. The included remote control allows you to power on/off, change inputs, adjust volume, change sound modes and advance tracks. It is simple and basic but it works well. Full disclosure, I found this unit on clearance for less than half the retail price. I would not have paid the full $499 retail price for the unit. This is mainly because Victrola doesn't provide any details on the speaker quality or specs other than they are 80 watts. It appears you could remove the speakers and install your own at a later time if desired. Thanks for reading...

Sound is really good compared to many other Bluetooth speakers and nice design.
