It is not a download that works on all computers

Easy to use!

Intermittent flicker and blue frames

The skipped frames were replaced by solid blue frames. I tried different VHS tapes, cables, VCRs, and even computers before I checked online reviews and read that other people experienced the same problem with the device. The worst part was the fact that the next day I couldn't return it because of some policy on 'opened software'. Note that this capture device includes a CD with proprietary software.

It frequently stops working, and when that happens, my recording is corrupted and I have to start over. A lot of frustration. Not the best.

Waste of money

There is nothing intuitive about it and it never seems to respond the same way twice to identical commands. Not only have I wasted my money but also alot of time trying to create usable DVD's. I now have to bring the tapes to a professional for conversion.
