This product has exceeded my expectations! It’s compatible with PC and Mac!!! I’ve actually used both versions on my computers! Truly a “Best Buy”!

I've used a handful of conversion cables and systems over the years. This one is by far the best in terms of core functionality. It's easy to hook up and use and the audio and video transfer quality are solid. The transfer software is super-basic. I use other programs to edit and output the final files after transfer, so I can't fairly comment on any editing options that come with the device. I just needed solid hardware, and this product delivered.

I had been looking and thinking for years what the best way to digitize old VHS and VHS C tapes would be - and then I stumbled across this at Best Buy and am very glad I tried it. It is as simple as downloading the app, plugging the VCR into the laptop, opening the app and pressing start. It records straight to a movie file that is easy to share send around. There is no need to try and digitize at a higher resolution through a different app, because coming from VHS the resolution is already limited.

First of all, really had issues getting this to work with MacBook. Works decent for windows. Simple to use software. Wish the conversion from .mpg to .mp4 could use hardware acceleration. Also wish the viewing window could be expanded for better watching while recording if wanted. Overall, does a good job and fairly easy to use.

The software works well, easy to use to convert videotapes. Have not tried to convert audio from cassettes and LPs. A problem I have that the PC sometimes does not see the converter after a single session. I've tried to disconnect and connect the box to no avail. What worked was to reboot the PC, then the program recognizes the box is connected.

Overall I think this is a great product. It is about as simple as you'd hope and the files are easily accessible. My only concern is just how good the video definition is. I don't think it is a problem with the Vidbox but it is really impossible to tell. We use a pretty good VCR to transfer the VHS tapes. It seems like some of the files created are simply not as good a quality as they appear when watching the tape on the TV or even the computer when you get the video ready to record. That being said, It is still better than loosing all the old videos. I guess the only way to really test the quality is to get a couple of different VCR's and do some comparisons. I do think it is worth the money.

This product is fantastic. Super easy to use, and it allows you to save all of those old videos you have right onto your computer, and then you can transfer it to your phone from that point so you can share them with family and friends. Definitely worth it if you still have your old camera/recorder to put the old tapes in compared to what Costco and Walmart charge to transfer it to a DVD.

Works like it's supposed to! I was able to pull video from old tapes and make them digital. Product was very easy to use and worked great!

I have a vhs to dvd recorder but it has stopped reading blank dvds and will no longer record. We have 100+ VHS tapes of the kids growing up and need to get them transferred to a digital format to preserve the videos and burned to a DVD format. This product does the job with flying colors. It is easily set up and even comes with the cables needed to get started. I am now almost halfway through our tapes and couldn't be happier.

This works fantastically. For all of those people who have a closet full of old video tapes, VHS, 8mm, etc., this is a really easy way to capture them digitally. Easy to use and works great. It was a relief to find something to work.

This analog to digital video converter is easy to use, works great, and was affordable. If you want to preserve your old family videos, this is the way to go!

Found 10 old camcorder tapes that were 20+ years old, wanted to transfer them before the tape deteriorated.(Works on other type of tapes I.e. VCR ) You will need the original device the tapes were created on to play the tape during transfer process. Pretty easy hookup between laptop, no real issue other than you should know it is a time consuming process. This allows you to change your tape into MP4 files and then save them on your hardrive. Memories saved!

Great tool to convert your old memories to digital. It is easy to install and easy to navigate through steps. It has froze up on me twice while using it. Quality of digital video comes out great!

This was easy to install and the software is very easy to use, I converted my Family Video from VCR and 8mm camcorderss. The conversation process is easy and the quality is as good as the current condition of the tape and the quality of my VCR. I would recommend if you need to preserve old family videos!

Works as advertised, very simple interface. Very pleased with the results so far. Still kind of surprised at how well it works when transferring DVD’s and old VHS tapes. Make sure your vhs/dvd players can keep up!

I still have VHS tapes that I have stored for more than 20 years but have not looked at them in all that time. I bought the conversion suite and found that it was easier to use than I expected. Now I have all my tapes digitized and accessible.
