I was looking for a decent IPS panel for $200 and came across this model on Viewsonic's site. It was a bit hard to locate retailers that sell this model, but saw that Best Buy had it and would ship it for free. Out of the box, the panel is quite bright, but it is good for a well lit room. The whites were a bit washed out but I turned down the contrast to 50 and calibrated the display with the built in software on my Mac Mini and it looks much better now. The colors are good right of the box, just the contrast and gamma are a bit off as shipped. The Stand is not adjustable but that isn't a problem for my use, but may be for others. All in all, a nice IPS panel for about $200...you could only dream about having a 23 inch IPS panel for this price just 2 years ago. Haven't found any dead pixels or noticed any backlight bleed through / hotspots.

View Sonic has always made a great monitor. Used their monitors for years. Although my two previous ones were not from View Sonic. Decided to upgrade previous monitor. Looked at a number of manufactures models, Lenovo, HP, etc. and choose View Sonic. Sharpe image, very good color reproduction, good price point. Very easy to install. No issues so far. Recommend highly.

Without using the included CD I just hooked it up and viola!, amazing picture quality. I still haven't run the CD, everything just works. The downside is no USB connection and the controls are literally out of sight under and behind the bottom of the screen, so unless you raise the monitor above desk level, you will have to duck down to turn it on and off and also to use the controls such as brightness, contrast, etc. The fact that they are touch controls means you can't just feel for them. Even so, the quality of the screen picture at an excellent price makes it a winner.

Not a bad monitor. The controls for on/off and making adjustments are not in a very good place. They are located on the base of the unit and from where I sit I have to bend down in order to see the controls. As far as making adjustments goes, you do it once and really never have to access the switch again. But you do need to get to the on/off switch often, so I placed a sticker just below the switch so I could feel it and find it without looking. Didn't try the speakers yet. Screen swivels up and down, but not side to side. However it's so light you can push on the screen and move the base and all side to side easily. Came with a DVI, HDMI and a speaker cable.

This monitor replaces the exact same model which we bought last year. We use it for our small business (drafting documents and research), as well as extensive personal use, including downloaded HOPA games and watching video/films online sometimes. The color is great and we were very happy with our first monitor, but after slightly more than a year, something happened and the color became slightly greenish on the left side of the screen, which ViewSonic (very good customer service) thought indicated something had gone wrong with the board. They were happy to have us send the monitor to them in L.A. for repair or replacement (3 year warranty), great deal, but we needed it for work, so decided to replace it with this one. So the question is how long it lasts before or if this happens again. The price is quite good for the quality, so, for now, the new one is working beautifully and we'll have to see over time if the same thing happens with this one. I should add we do not use the built-in speakers -- bought other speakers last year, after hearing the sound quality on the monitor in the store display. The only complaint otherwise is that adjusting brightness, etc. requires a flashlight even to locate the touch "buttons," and the adjustments themselves are a little bit of a pain, but I actually didn't even adjust this new monitor.

Easy to set up and has performed excellent. I have not had any disappointments so far.

This is a great monitor for those who appreciate a beautiful IPS screen and those who want to future-proof their monitor as much as possible. It includes Analog VGA, Digital DVI-D and HDMI inputs so it works on any system - old or new. The speakers built into the base are nearly worthless. Spend $15 and get better speakers. I ordered 7 of these for the office and one of them failed within the first week of use. Luckily covered by warranty. The rest are rock solid.

So far, after a month, I am loving this screen. It is excellent color/contrast, etc. Also, the dimensions for this 23 inch are the same as my old 21 inch screen. This is important because I only had 1/2 inch clearance in my desk hutch. It really has a great image. I do a lot of photo image processing and am very pleased. The big fuss about the buttons being under the screen is not that big a deal, really. I do recommend this. I do not use the speakers, so I won't comment on that, other than to say, why would anyone buy a monitor and care about its speakers?

Had limited choices when buying two of these during the holidays. Though I usually go with this brand anyway.

going from a 19" lcd monitor to a 23" led monitor was a wake up I can see more detail and colors are much better. thin boarders. Speakers are ok for you tube or facebook games.

This monitor is great! Easy to setup and great hd view.

As a 23 inch monitor this is really nice for an IPS monitor that costs far less than the bigger ones do. Where it lacks is audio (not great or even good) The fixed base prevents a VESA mount and the control buttons are not visible if you set the monitor up properly. I knew all this before I bought it and did so anyway.

I needed an external monitor for my 13" MacBook, and this monitor is exactly what I was looking for at a great price. The colors are great and the monitor has worked seamlessly with my system from day one.

My husband has been using this exact model for about 6 months and he loves it. When I needed to replace my old monitor, we decided to get the same model that he has been using. I recommend it highly.

Plugged it in, connected to my computer, Turned it on. It worked perfectly without touching a single control. Can't get better, or simpler, than that.

After reading lots of reviews of LED LCD TVs and currently owning an older Sony LCD, I decided to spend the extra money to get the quality of a Great LED LCD TV. Having a full-array LED backlighting with local dimming was the kicker. This is Sony's flagship HDTV. Only wish the stand was a little higher because the speaker bar blocks the 3D signal, so I have to tilt the speakers up when watching 3D. Still sounds great though. It automatically senses a movie when I load up a blu-ray. Don't have to change the input. 5 Stars for this TV.

Great monitor though has limited ability to adjust height and screen angle. Otherwise, love it!

Use with Desktop. Like larger size as we get older. Very clear picture with good contrast

Great review on maximum pc magazine and really nice picture for the price, ips screen has great viewing angles.

Bought 7 this far for our company. Works great and very pleased.
