We owned a Viking 2.0 cu. ft. microwave oven, featured in a top end home operated as a high demand, furnished short term rental in San Diego. The kitchen featured all top quality brand appliances, including the Viking microwave. After over 20 years of sterling service, the original microwave's control module began to fail and the oven required replacement. A diligent search revealed the only replacement suitable to sustain the elegance and quality of our fading Viking ... was an updated 2.0 cu. ft. Viking. Multiple sources were consulted, but the retailer with the right selection of models, the most capable and knowledgeable staff, the best pricing and the most available stocking and pickup locations was Best Buy. We were able to coordinate in person with Best Buy sales staff in the store in Honolulu (where we live); place our order by phone, featuring optimum Viking model selection, pricing and price-matching vs. competing dealers; and arrange for delivery and pickup in the San Diego Best Buy store; then coordinate with the store staff in San Diego to carefully verify product dimensions and ensure a sound fit and top notch installation. Best Buy was simply the best choice for us, to optimize quality and pricing, convenience of store locations and knowledgeable, customer service oriented staff. The replacement oven was easy to purchase, pick up and install. It fit precisely; it looks great and operates terrifically. Thank you, Best Buy!

This microwave replaced one this is close to 20 years young… it’s an updated design and works great! Now I’m only a few months into using this new appliance but hope that it lasts just as long. Delivery and installation were great as well. The guys took away the old unit, installed this one and put back the old trim (because the new one didn’t fit my space).

Our entire kitchen is Viking now with the new Viking microwave. It is a quality product in all respects. Very pleased with the microwave and the installation.

Extremely bad Version of Microway after one and a half months already broken opener. Very poor quality! Waste of money!!!

The Viking microwave in my new home bit the dust and I wanted to replace with matching unit to go with all the other Viking appliances. Best Buy had the best price so I got it there. It arrived quickly and in good shape. It was easy to install as I just had to swap the old for the new. I looked at other microwaves just as a comparison and really could not find any options, bells or whistles that made the Viking that much better and it was twice the cost of other units. If it had not been covered under my home warranty, I probably would have gone with another brand. However, this one works great, does all I need and looks very nice.

I bought this microwave to replace a 16-year-old Viking model VMOS200 unit, an over-the-counter unit. The new oven slipped right into the old space, using the old 27" trim kit. (I was expecting to make some modifications to the old trim kit, but not required!) A month later, all is working normally, and I am pleased with the purchase. The only downside was with the delivery: originally promised delivery was ~3 weeks, but it turned out to be 3 months!

Operates fine - I use a bright light to view the panel as it is difficult to view. Viking tech support states this is normal Appliance was not on display in the store otherwise I would have looked at other display options

I’m enjoying my new Viking Microwave that was installed this week. It is extremely easy to use and is much quieter than my old microwave.

This microwave fits perfectly in a snug spot in my newly remodeled kitchen. It is sleek and attractive and still has the right amount of heating power to work effectively and efficiently.

Love it cooks food very well easy to use just wish panel board had a light in it for us seniors to see better

Definitely expensive compared to other microwaves with equal quality and finish. But if all appliances need to match, is a must do

Obsessed! I love Viking though. Child lock and all the great features. That was very important. If your looking to match your Viking set up or want a high end brand. Then a must! It’s beautiful and has all the important features! Worth the price! I also got the trim which we had to adjust into our cabin built in.

Very solid microwave with some versatility to it. Buttons a bit hard to read but overall a quality choice. Price a bit on the high side but hopefully worth it. We opted for the warranty given some of the previous reviews.

About a month after the extended Total Care Warranty expire the display started became nearly unreadable (dim). We have had problems with nearly every Viking product that we purchased within a 2-2.5 yr period. I have friends with Viking appliance problems too. Not a good product - avoid if at all possible as there are better products out there.

Bought this to replace an older Viking (door wouldn’t open properly and they couldn’t fix). This one fits perfectly into old Viking fit kit. Seems to work fine, haven’t played with features yet.
