A significant improvement over an already strong first season. Complex, bloody fun with interesting characters, and the historical setting really adds heft to the social and political interactions. Similar to Game of Thrones - less fantastical but similarly grounded, dirty and with even a certain amount of wicked humour.

The History Channel continues to tell the story of Ragnar a viking who wants to explore the world for a better tomorrow for his family and warrior brothers. The story lines keeps you guessing as to who is an ally to Ragnar and those who secretly plot to destroy him. Must see for any fan of this great tv series!

I have to commend the packaging. The slipcase is excellently designed and the case itself holds the discs well. A lot of Blu-Ray seasons are held on the flimsy spindle, these are not. What else can I say beyond that? The show is excellent of course and the second season is packed with a lot of excitement.

Really surprising how great this show is considering the garbage History Channel has been programming these last few years. The show is action packed, the acting is great, the on-location shooting is gorgeous, and the story continues to be compelling while not simply sensational like other "historical" shows.

Obviously, best to have watched the first season; however, not necessary to get pulled in and continue on Season 3 on the History channel now. I purchased it, even after watching it the first time. It is that good for those that can handle the fight scenes. Definitely not for children or the weak at heart.

Second season was full of new twists and turns. No spoilers here but I found myself watching a full disc at a time instead of only watching one episode at a time. Its like a good thing that you don't want to end. Overall a great series and will eagerly be awaiting the next season to come out.

More great action and some historical info, season 2 continues to keep me wanting to keep binge watching, and staying up later hours before heading to bed. Top notch acting and blondes galore. And surprising turns and twists to the storyline. Starting season 3 now!!

Continuing what began in the first season, we are now in full swing. The characters and landscape have been laid out. Improved sets and consistent writing and acting make this an enjoyable show to watch. Yes it's violent and sometimes gory. Just like real life.

Northmen with fashionable hair shaves, buxom lusty "shield maidens," psychotic ship builders and fascinating plot lines. What more could you ask for to replace the emptiness left by Breaking Bad final or Walking Dead hiatus? I give it 5 enthusiastic "Shields Up."

Although the show is very GOOD I am wondering where the slipcover is. I own over 1000 blue ray's and am very precise about the packaging. I have purchases movies from CANADA, EUROPE, and JAPAN as well as the US. The picture showed the slipcover and I was very excited about receiving it. But I have also learned nothing is written in stone, and the show still looks GREAT, so in retrospect this is a minor flaw. I look forward to doing business with your company for years to come. I loved Season 2. Season 1 took a bit to get into the real story due to needed character development, etc. So Season 2 is much better. I can't wait for Season 3 to start. Be advised that IMHO this series is not appropriate for children. I'd advise over age 13 only.

So I got Season 1, because my boss just absolutely raves about the show. Season 2 was going to happen. Let me say this to everyone out there: If you aren't watching this show, do it. Think of it like a Game of Thrones...just less magic stuff. Watch this show.

Yes this is a gory series and some question its historical validity but I find it engaging, it features very strong female as well as male characters and is visually stunning. This is "Game of Thrones" caliber storytelling. Best Buy's price was great too!

ONCE AGAIN THE SERIES CANNOT LAST A WEEK AT OUR HOUSE BECAUSE WE FIND OURSELVES DRAWN IN TO WATCH EPISODE AFTER EPISODE DAY AFTER DAY UNTIL WE ARE DONE FOR ANOTHER YEAR. WE CAN ONLY HOPE GAME OF THRONES COMES OUT SOON OR WE WILL BE FORCED TO WATCH REGULAR TV.

Follow Viking chieftain, Ragnar, on his quest over the oceans to raid distant realms and the evils of his Norse homeland. I found this History Channel series very interesting and informative. I hope they continue with further adventures with Ragnars family.

If you have watched any episode of this series then you know how good it is... If you haven't then you are missing out on one of the best historical dramas ever produced... It's a must have for the collection if you are into historical productions....

Vikings: Season 2 is excellent. The series is excellent and very entertaining. Of course, there is a lot of blood shed but I guess that is realistic of the times. I like watching series on a DVD so I can sit and watch more than an episode at a time.

Season 2 continues with "hard choices", and many more battles. It also deals with vengeance (revenge), attempts at redemption and is just great. Definitely purchase whether you have seen it on television or not. Its worth it!

Great storyline and characters. Love that these are actual historical figures in Vikings history... History channel has done an awesome job with this series. Already all caught up just wanted to own the series, can't wait for season 4

I love this show, one of the beat on TV. I like having the extra scenes that are not shown on America history channel. This blu-ray was not on display in the store, but one of your sales rep was kind enough to go and find a copy in the back.
