I can start and warm my car remotely; however, it does not have the range I need. I have to be relatively close to the car. I cannot do it from the second floor of my home. It's just too far away. But at least I can start and warm my car during the colder months.

This is a one way remote start meaning you press the button but the fob won't inform you the car is running. You need a tilt switch and module that aren't included, they run about $115 for the pair

After much nagging from my wife, I finally bit the bullet and have Best Buy install a remote start. The tech was able to work through some initial issue and now it is working reliably. My only wish was that it came with a 2nd remote

I love this thing. I get to hop into a warm car and I don't even need to brush the snow off my car sometimes because everything has already melted. Super, i mean super easy to use! No issues since I had this installed. Install was super fast and they explained everything! I will talk my family and friends in getting one as its the best $200 you can spend.

Got Viper remote start for my wife for Christmas in her 2012 Nissan Rogue, she loves it. Nice warm car on cold mornings coming off her 11p-7a shift for drive home. To say I am extremely disappointed is an understatement. The system itself starts the car easily, and from a decent ways away. What I am upset with is the fact that the system and my car apparently don't work well together. The cabin temp in my car doesn't change until I have manually started the car. Had I been informed of this issue, I certainly would not have purchased this unit. In my opinion it is not serving its purpose. The issue being (the service tech who installed it explained this to me AFTER installing the unit) that although the electronic start will start my car, the thermostat in the car will not allow the heater to blow hot air? He said it is an issue he sees in all of the newer model Ford Fusions. When I get in my car, even after letting it run for 10 minutes, it is blowing ice cold air at me. I then actually start the car, and the engine is warm, and it will put out some heat. The problem with that lies in that if I'm using electronic start to start my car, it needs to be putting out warm air to help defrost the windows. Case in point...We are having our second ice storm of the season today, and guess who is now having to physically go out and restart their car (which is not only illegal, but a total waste of gas, $250, and time) just to melt the ice off the windshield. There was really no benefit to me buying this if I still have to go out and let my car run for 20 minutes now instead of 10.

It lives up to the Viper name but the only fallback is that the key fob could be a little more up to date. Plain looking but def the best price I found.

I have this installed on my Acura 2007 MDX. At first it was giving me plenty of problems it would drain my battery, it would sometimes start, then it started to cause my car to have to be jumpstarted. We took it back and it was suggested that the original battery be changed. Since the battery change, So far so good it's only acted strange on a handful of occasions but more recently it's been performing well quite regularly. Will keep you posted.

Car starts right up in the winter. Must be in eye-sight of the vehicle. Great purchase for those who live in winter climate and those who commute.

It's a very nice option to add to your vehicle. The only issue I have had so far is it wouldn't let me unlock the doors one time

Works great so far. Wish there was a beep or return signal on remote to indicate the car has turned on.

It is really helpful in winter time ! Car is warm and cozy. Its great in summer time too . Just start your car earlier from home or work and when you get to your car , temperature is perfect ! Highly recommended !

I bought this for my 2007 GMC Sierra that was basic, remote start on a cold morning is awesome.

LOVE having this to kickstart my heater and warm up my car in the winter. Equally as handy for cooling off the car in the summer before hopping in! Definitely a convenient accessory to get for the car.

I am very happy being able to start the car from inside the house on these cold days. This starter works very good. It does not have super long range but I don't park far from my house.
