I totally LOVE my new Viper alarm. I get alerts on my remote when a sensor is triggered and you don't have to be less than 100ft to turn on the alarm if you walked into work and forgot. The remote lets you know everything from the current temperature inside your vehicle, if it's locked or unlocked with the 2way transmitter, and the Auto-Start lets your air condition cool down your vehicle without worry of someone driving off with it. One press of the brake pedal and Auto-Start is deactivated. My 5 month old daughter was the reason for this alarm because I don't want her getting into a sweltering hot car in this Florida heat and I have an opportunity to knock a fool out trying to break into my car when my remote is alerted from up to 1 MILE AWAY! Oh Yeah!!!

This product is actually the 5704v. it has many handy function on remote and different color for the screen to anyone's liking. I would recommend to anyone and all the extra add on you c a n buy for it. ok don't get a proximity sensor if you live in the city. No I don't have one. ; ) This alarm is worth the money. Also quick install from Bestbuy. Thumbs up guys... (No you all. Bestbuy did not offer me a discount or free 60inch LED tv to say this)..... Would be nice though

Purchased as a gift for my girlfriends 2004 Mazda three Living in the Las Vegas desert with the exception of two months starting the car in advance when leaving the gym from the office etc. to have it cooled significantly before getting in the car is Nice for a change. Felt better about purchasing viper as they i.e. directed electronics have been around for quite sometime The two way remote is always a nice feature as you know "did I lock the car or is it still unlocked"? you can look at the remote and it will tell you if it was or was not Activated and or if it is remotely started as well

I really enjoy this alarm system. The valet start is a great bonus. But the alarms audibility and range are really good for what I need. I also, like that the pager lets you know what part of your vehicle has been tampered with when it alerts you. The pager also has LCD lighting so it's easier to see if you get that call @ 3am....

Really great device and worth every penny. I had this bad boy installed by Best Buy for my 2012 Ford Focus. This is by far the best product I have bought in a long time. Battery life is amazing too. I charge it right at about every two almost three weeks at a time.

Best buy salesman talked me into this and I am glad I listened. It's a quality Viper product that is very easy to use. Has tons of cool features!

The remote start feature is great, coupled with a great alarm system. Warning light is a great feature, it assists in keeping the dishonest people away. Great features, right price, easy to use.

This system is great, the electronic start helps warm the car before I enter the car, the system is up and running, no waiting. You can tell if some tampered with the car with the key chain.

I added this alarm to my truck for the alarm and remote start feature...The Remote has a great Range as well...Im very pleased no more Cold Mornings...Great Product Viper...

Good product.I like the fact that it only unlocks the drives door for extra security. I just cant find the clock when scrolling through the menu, so I cant set the time.

In summer time we can cooling down the cabin on parking area before we are ready to drive with cool car cabin temperature. Also easy to locate our parking area.

feel so much better knowing my car is safe and i can start it up to a mile away it's great for hot days

I've had mine installed for about 4 weeks now, and I've been trying to learn the many functions of this expensive alarm/remote starter system. Here in Texas, with temperatures staying above 100 degrees for most of the summer it is nice to have my car cooled down by the time I get there 10 minutes later. I had mine installed at the Best Buy in Southwest Austin located at the intersection of Southwest Parkway and Mopac Expressway. Excellent install job on my 2007 Toyota Rav4, I didn't want to rush them because I wanted it done right. Only the most senior installer was allowed to work on my car so I felt comfortable with the whole process. Although I dropped it off at noon on Friday, I wasn't able to pick it up until closing on Saturday night. My vehicle didn't require a security chip bypass module (extra $120) and my installer called me to let me know after initially telling me I would. That's an honest shop installation!! They've secured my future business and positive word of mouth because of honesty like that. Anyways, the only problem I have with this remote starter is that the temperature sensor seems to be located too close to the firewall of the car (appears to be built on-board the CPU module of the alarm system). If it were able to be located remotely, i.e. in the passenger cabin, the temperature readout would be much more accurate. This system is capable of automatically starting between temperature ranges and it would be nice if this feature was providing an accurate reading. The remote displays the temperature that the sensor is indicating, and I imagine in the winter time it would be much more accurate. Here in Texas the summertime heat definitely distorts the accuracy of the sensor in my opinion. That is my only complaint, albeit a minor one. Luxury options sometimes aren't perfect, but I can live with that. The range of the transmitter and keyfob is pretty amazing. I like being inside a high rise building and knowing that my car started up before I head down in the elevator.

I have been using the Viper 5901 for almost a year now, and have yet to be disappointed by it. It took a little while for it to get installed, but it was definitely worth it. The lock/unlock confirmation on the remote is AMAZING! It always lets you know whether the car is locked or unlocked and when the alarm is armed. The remote has a rechargeable battery (AC charger IS included), lasts about 1 month or 1 1/2 months when used regularly. When the battery is low, a melodious tune is played from your remote after you lock/arm or unlock/disarm the car. The alarm can be armed and unarmed regularly (alarm chirps) or silently (no chirp). The remote start feature is great! you can set how long you want the car to run, it can act as a turbo timer (set it to run after your car turns off, until you arm the alarm). There is also confirmation of the remote start as heard by a series of beeps. The remote also allows you to check the temperature inside the car, so you can check whether you need to heat up your car, cool it down or if it's perfect. The remote can also work on more than one car, up to two or three I believe and you can switch between them using the function button. Additions can be added to this unit, some of these are: Tilt sensor, audio sensor, shock sensor, window operators (control windows from remote), trunk pop and even a backup battery system (so if your car battery dies, the alarm will still function).
