So, I went to buy another phone after research but came across this one instead. Bought it because it is a windows phone and had decent memory. So far its better than my old, more expensive phone but lacks a couple of my favorite features and some of the apps aren't as seamless. ( no Pinterest app, pages manager doesn't work, no forward camera or flash.) It does have a "selfie" app which helps with the lack of camera but still... Oh, but you can put your apps on a memory card which you can't do on some phones. Definitely a plus. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and if you have a windows8 computer, it is easy to get used to.

I have never been a big fan of any of the Android phones I have used over the past few years, so I decided to give Virgin Mobile's first Windows Phone a try. I am very pleased with the OS, it seems more stable than Android and seems to handle multitasking much better without apps crashing constantly. The availability of apps is a major downside compared to Android, but even where official apps were lacking features or simply nonexistent, I was almost always able to find a decent substitute.
As for the phone itself, it is a budget phone and it shows. The build is entirely plastic, and the camera is quite poor. There is no front-facing camera. I hope Virgin Mobile gets a premium windows phone soon, because I would not hesitate to upgrade. I have no intention of going back to Android phones.

Windows Phone-It's Much Better Than I Thought

I'm a cheapo when it comes to phones, but I do need one with decent service and when I accidentally destroyed my old Android phone a friend recommended this one to to me because his wife has one.
The price was right, just $40 on sale, so I didn't have to make a large investment. I've got to say that I really like it. The display is bright and easily read in sunlight. Even though it doesn't have as many aps available as Android or iPhones, the aps that is has do seem to run much better and since it is from Microsoft, the office ap integrates seamlessly should you have to actually do some real work. So, yes, I would recommend this phone. I only gave it 4 out of 5 stars because i would like to see more aps become available.

I bought this for my mom because it's cheaper and she doesn't really need an iphone or an android as they are too much. The phone is fast and we've never had any issue with it freezing. She use viber and FB messenger a lot and this phone does a good job letting her use the apps easily. The camera is pretty good too, with the external memory card my mom can take a lot of pictures and videos. I will recommend it if you want a cheaper phone and if you're ok with windows phone.

I like this phone! All I use it for is texting and surfing the web. I haven't figured out all the apps yet, but I'm not concerned about it. I do like to take pictures on it; however, I wish the views could be changed where I can take a picture with the front of the phone..not just the back. Overall, I'm satisfied with this phone, and I've been a Virgin Mobile user for years!

I enjoy that this phone is not an android or iPhone. Setup took awhile and figuring out all the passwords and emails just to get everything connected to windows 8 was time consuming and a little complicated. So far so good.

The phone is good for being so cheap. Great battery life and ok camera. Calls sound good but this phone lacks good apps as it is a Windows phone. If you are used to having a phone with Android OS, you may want to consider another phone. Overall decent phone.

So far this phone has proven to be a lifesaver. With access to email, ability to text and access to social media...all presented in a straightforward manner, it takes much of the head scratching out of smart phone operation that so many devices come with. Easy to use and meets my needs since I normally don't talk on the phone unless necessary.

For the most part this is a very good phone, and a very good price ($39). Build quality is excellent and the screen is very readable. It has the ability to add an SD card for more storage. The one quick is that there is no speaker; the screen vibrates as a whole. As such it can be a bit hard to hear at times. Overall, it's worth the price.

this "windows" phone was a good choice for my wife who is non technical. It's simple....hence the price. The windows interface is straight forward and easy to use. This thing is no IPhone if you are looking for those features this may not be the right phone for you. If you just need a phone with email text and simple apps it is a good choice.

I really like this phone! The screen is huge, and there are so many features that I still have to learn. The one down fall is that you cannot change the direction of the camera. If I want to take a picture of myself, which I hardly ever do, I have to stand in front of a mirror to hit the button. Other than that, its super easy to use!

Great phone for the price. Has all the features needed with the exception of a front camera and flash. The windows system is easy to use and a refreshing change from android or apple. Cortana is great and gets better with more use. Looking forward to the windows 10 upgrade. Storage is no problem with added micro card.

I SAVE BATTERY ON MY REGULAR CELL PHONE
SINCE I BOUGHT IT SO CHEAP
IT IS A GREAT SMALL IPAD
THE CELL PHONE IS QUITE FAST ON SURFING
THE ONLY DOWNSIDE
IS WINDOWS DOES NOT HAVE ALL THE APPS OF ANDROID
NO MAGIC JACK TO DIAL OUT ON

I bought this phone for the windows rip-off of siri. It has a really great interface and the cool look of the windows showing all my apps. the downside is the anount of apps available for windows-based phones. If you have to have the latest and greatest apps, you better not buy this phone. If you use it for a smartphone and not an app supermarket, you will love this phone.

My biggest complaint. Not enough apps. It's missing some basic app, like Starbucks, Michaels, and my bank. They are very limited and its very frustrating.

I was looking for a smartphone that wasn't $300.00 and not complicated to use. If you are an avid user of Android apps, then stick with an Android OS. I used a couple Android apps but don't miss them with this phone.

I bought this phone on sale @ BB to replace the phone my husband had which had exceeded it's lifespan. Minimal cost to fill the void until the phone he wanted arrived. Could now possibly give it to my tween-ager if her phone dies while waiting for a replacement

this phone has nice graphics and good quality but there are v few apps compared to ios and android. I bought this over a month ago as part of a best buy promotion in which $25 rewards points would be credited and these points have not been credited despite phone calls and emails. Since a case was opened to "investigate" this i was told it would take 14 business days (nearly 3 weeks) for any resolution and since then I am getting too many regular emails from BB advertising their stuff including this recent one asking for a review of the product but NONE following up on the one complaint of mine which is "send the $25 rewards credit as advertised in your very own promotion on your own website."

I am not a heavy cell phone user. I use it mostly for calls, texts and to check my email. This Windows 8 phone is very easy to use and meets all of my requirements. I went to a Best Buy Mobile store to purchase it and the clerk transferred all of my old phone data over to this one and I got to keep my phone number. This is a great phone for a basic user.

I purchased this phone just so I can install the Windows Insider Preview of Windows10 Mobile on it. The phone runs it smoothly, and just like my other Windows Phones, the OS is superb. The only draw back is no front facing camera.
