The Vitamix Ascent 3500 Series 64-oz grinder/blender and a tamper (stick) that lets you push down ingredients without hitting the blades is the finest and most impressive and awesome blender out there. It's top-notch and never lets you down -- thanks to its enormous blending power for top-notch performance -- when it comes to blending Smoothies, Hot Soups, Dips & Spreads, and Frozen Desserts, which are part of the five pre-set program options in addition to Self-Cleaning for the container wash-up (which you really want to take advantage of as opposed to cleaning them in a sink potentially hurting yourself from the laser-cut blades). The touch-screen panel also informs how long the Vitamix has been running and at what speed, and, when you select a pre-set program, it counts down the time so you know how much longer it will be running. You may also run the blender with variable speed and pulse of course. Note that containers from the older Legacy-series Vitamix models (for example, the 7500) may not work with the smart Ascent-Series Vitamix models, such as this one, the 3500, which touch-screen panel would indicate that showing an intuitive symbol on the display, and the motor would not turn on for safety reasons. A super-cool feature of the 3500 is that it reads container sizes and adjusts blending times accordingly. I am tempted to say the Vitamix Ascent 3500 is key to living a healthy life by empowering you to create the best smoothies you can have. No need to go to Starbucks or other stores for a smoothy. You can do them yourself without leaving your home. And then, watching how the 3500 blends various ingredients to a super-smoothie is an adventure by itself. Add in the container, for example, frozen blueberries, one or two carrots, an avocado, a banana, a yogurt, and some milk, then select the Smoothy button on the touch-screen panel and hit the Start button. Definitely a work horse. Works better than reviewed and advertised. Will handle everything you can throw at it. Whether you are making frozen drinks and smoothies to making piping hot soup it's does great. A little more expensive than many blenders but in this case for sure it is definitely work it!

I love this blender! The Vitamix- Ascent 3500 makes delicious smoothies and does any blending task with ease. The presets make it even easier to use. It is loud--especially when blending frozen berries or ice, but completes the task with ease. It also has an optional food processor attachment available which I have purchased and it works great. Awesome machine!

I bought this blender for my wife for Christmas. We use a blender at least once a day and needed an upgrade. She loves this one. Compared to our older smaller blender, it blends much more smoothly and consistently, has easy self-cleaning, and has a really nice touch-screen. I suppose the only downside is it takes up a fair amount of counter space, so I recommend others just review the sizing specs and make sure it will fit well (including underneath cabinets - which thankfully ours does but I did measure before purchasing this.)

I have been using the A3500 for about 8 months now. Works great, easy to clean, plenty of power. I use it daily for smoothies, grating cheeses, soups and making nut butters. Super easy to use and very dependable. May be on the pricey side if you are just using it occasionally. HIghly recommended.

Yes! This machine 'blends' really well in my kitchen. Best kitchen appliance I've ever owned. It is like a Jet! When it takes off it scares the bejesus out of my cat, every time! Don't bother spending money on cheaper ones, just go for Vitamix and enjoy the juices, smoothies, guac/salsa, etc. That self cleaning feature - it really is awesome and it works. Oh and if you want to grind nuts, this monster can do that for you.

My daughter has a Vitamix 750 and we liked some of the smoothies she fixed when we were visiting her. We decided to get a Vitamix and chose the Ascent 3500 because of the visual display and ability to set the timer, as well as its ability to connect to the Vitamix Perfect scale, which we also purchased. We have made a lot of smoothies and even some soup. It has worked extremely well. Its powerful, easy to use and easy to clean. Highly recommended.

I use my blender every day. I didn't think there could be a big difference in blenders. I was wrong. I had the top of the line Breville that I wasn't really happy with. The design was not at all easy to keep clean and the finish started bubbling and peeling within a couple of months, but it turned on so I kept using it. The Vitamix is better in every way. It looks better, blends better and is sooo easy to clean. I will never use another blender.

This is my third Vitamix and by far the best yet! I love that the container has not stained and the easy to clean and maintain exterior. It has a great asthstetic and I enjoy and use the pre progamed options a lot. I also like and find the shorter container easier to store on my counter. I do wish however they made a medium size container as you don't always want to blend a huge amount. I know they have the cup attatchment but they seem like they would be just to small really. I highly recommend this machine! If you are considering this machine you should buy it. Vitamix has great quality machines and last forever. The other two I have still work great and one is almost 30 yrs old! I just gave them to my family members so I could get a new one.

This blends the smoothest (fill in the blank) I've ever had. IT's a bit on the noisy side but I have never had a blender that wasn't. It's super easy to clean too!

I was making myself crazy trying to decide which color to get so I ordered the Black Stainless from Best Buy and went to pick it up. This blender is not only an incredible machine, but it is absolutely gorgeous. The black stainless in particular is very very nice looking. I was afraid that it wouldn't go well with my brushed stainless and black kitchen appliances, because many people had described this color as being goldish in tone. However, I have this blender right next to another appliance and it blends beautifully. I am so very happy with the look and performance of this machine. Excellent in every way. And very easy to use.

I have owned multiple blenders over the years. Always having to replace them after something broke. Whether it was the motor, blender carafe, blade, buttons, something always broke. I had enough and wanted a blender that was durable and versatile. I splurged and bought this a year ago. I held off writing a review as I wanted to see how it held up. I am happy to say that this is the best blender I ever had, and for many reasons. Too many to list here. This will last me for the rest of my life. I am 60. It has a LONG 10 year replacement warranty. The parts and accessories are built to last. The motor is as strong as an Ox. The blades are HEAVY DUTY. Over all construction is terrific. It is simply built to outperform and outlast any blender I have ever seen. It does things I didn't know you could do with a blender. At least my past ones couldn't do these things. Like making your own Peanut Butter. Smoothies that are the smoothest you will ever taste. Crush ice with ease, and even make and cook soups in minutes with no mess. Yes cook soups. And it even has the most awesome self cleaning function that really works every time. I could go on and on, but this is the best. Get one, you will not regret it. 5 stars and beyond from me.

I have debating buying a Vitamix for some time now mainly because of the price. I bought a Ninja to try something less expensive and could never get the consistency right. Especially when it came to things that needed very fine ice. This is an amazing blender and worth every penny. I’ve used it for smoothies, juices, and mixed drinks. I now use this daily for oatmeal banana shakes and smoothies. It makes the most amazing juices and breaks down green apples to an enjoyable drinking texture. You seriously cannot get the same consistency as this one provides. With summer coming up, this was a great decision. The self cleaning option is amazing as well. I really never use this function on anything, but I thought I’d give it a shot considering the price. It really does make it as easy as adding some water and drop of soap and pressing a button. The only thing I will warn about is it can be very loud. Personally I rather have 20 seconds of noise and an amazing margarita, but wanted to give an honest review.

I’m done with cheap blenders. This machine is a dream come true and makes my daily smoothie routine super easy. It’s also great for soups (heated up right in the blender!!). I make my own almond butter and this thing is a dream compared to my old food processor. I also purchased the blending cup and bowl for quick to-go smoothies. I’ve had it for 3 months, use it almost every day, and don’t know how I ever lived without it. Wish there was a travel version!!

A bit loud, but powerful and blends items very well. We have made several different smoothies and peach ice cream in the short time we have had it. Each time we have been very pleased with the outcome. It does cost a pretty penny.

The Vitamix a3500. has 5 programs settings Smoothies, Hot Soups, Dips & Spreads, Frozen Desserts, and Self-Cleaning. After you select the function and started the process automatically adjust the velocity, and stop the blender when complete it. The Smoothies are the best I had made with all the ingredients, including the ice cubes smooth and delectable. The self-cleaning is a plus to easy use the blender for another item.

8 ounce mini jars and 16 ounce smoothies attachments (sold separatly) are the reason i bought this mixer. So much versatility with various volume containers has made this mixer used every day in my home for multiple functions. Just be careful because heatup can occur quickly with the small containers and cause some heat and pressure build up (i.e messy when opening). Overall, simply the best mixer that can handle very small and large volumes.

One of the best blender I have owned. The build quality is very nice and you can feel the solid body by looking at it. Having touch buttons and pre-configured blending option makes blending very easy. Talking about performance, in the last couple of days of my use, I haven't come across a food item that this blender cannot blend. Haven't tried hot soups yet, but the smoothies are a lot more tastier than before. Would definitely recommend this product.
