They say a picture is worth a thousand words. So I attached one. First off I am projecting on a Silver Ticket 92" Grey Material Fixed 16:9 Format Screen. I am running the projector in "eco" mode. I just picked up this projector today on an exchange. I originally purchased the Epson Home Cinema 2045 but could not get over the lack of contrast and how faded grey the blacks looked. Even though the Epson is rated at 35000:1 contrast, this DLP at 20000:1 beats it hands down in Dark levels. I see little to no Rainbow artifacts and I am extremely susceptible to them.
And then I started a 3D movie. Wow. So clear and so clean. Depth was perfect and full 1080p 3D looks amazing. I bought some 144hz DLP link glasses and they are absolutely perfect with this setup (added a pic showing the model I used) If you are looking for a high quality 1080p Projector with amazing 3D capability look no further. It's inexpensive but can play with the big boys.
I have owned multiple projectors (Epson 2045, optima HD26, Optima HD141X, Optima HD142x, infocus 119hdx) so comparison wise I have a good handle on this price point.

Worked wonderfully with great resolution. We used them in a Large Ballroom (2800 people) up on 10' screens. Superb, especial at the cost!

With Best Buy's price match it was easy for me to give this brand a try.
It's capable of throwing a sharp bright edge to edge image esp with a good signal. The 2D image borders on spectacular even with some ambient light in the room. All in all, easy on the eyes and wallet.

The clarity is really great. Also, the remote is helpful. Much greater clarity that our old Epson.

Pretty decent picture quality for the price point. Not much complaint, good enough for movies, best to use in a dark room as expected.

It is great product considering the money you spend. It is similar quality as other projectors over $1000.

Clear picture. Easy set up. 1 HDMI port..wished there was 2 or 3 but I knew what I was getting. I added a sound bar for a quality sound.
The one thing that I dislike is the remote control. It's about 2". East to lose in the couch cushion!

Inexpensive and worked great for our purposes... watching a US Woman's soccer match in the back yard.

I recently upgraded to this from a 720p Acer projector.
Pros: The picture is sharp, the colors are vibrant, and the black levels are good. The rainbow effect is not too bad; it's certainly much better than the Acer I had. Setup was easy -- I plugged it into my home theater system and it worked perfectly right out of the box.
Cons: The remote control is junk. It looks exactly like something you'd get with a $12.99 LED candle. And it only works when it's aimed directly at the front of the projector, which isn't great for my setup, which has the projector on the ceiling overhead. Because there are so few functions on the remote itself, the on-screen menus are multi-layered and confusing. The only reason I'm not knocking off a star (or two) for this remote is that I figure I'll rarely change settings. And like most small projectors, the fan is fairly noisy. Unlike my Acer, the sound of the fan is low-pitched, which makes it less distracting.
I'm not planning to use the on-board speaker, so I don't have an opinion one way or another. (I'm guessing it's something you'd use only if you had to.) I haven't yet used the 3D setting.
