As of recently what once were the pillar of animated super hero flicks, the EDCU or DCAU, there have been several horrible misfires. From the overly dissapointing Batman & Harley Quinn ( I pre-ordered that five months in advance, and promptly donated my copies after one ciew) to the Teen Titans Judas Contract-JUST FRIGGIN DO A TEEN TITANS GO PG13 FEATURE. STOP MESSING WITH FORMULAS THAT WORK WB AND DC! I caught this preorder with $8 WW movie cash with a purchase price of $10, again bestbuy.com showing why it's superior shopping folks. They very ingeniously used the actors from Arrow, Flash and Flash's and Arrow's in-ear sidekicks to ACTUALLY VOICE THEIR ANIMATED VERSIONS, d'uh DC!!! Which resulted in a very easily tied-in new subset of characters all easily cast and included vice-versa into the live DC hit shows (All available at Best Buy with Spend $50 on Seasons and get a $10 BB GC). Literally a simple formula, ready available vouce cast, nice origin story of a less known DC Heroine and great overall animated entry that harkens back to Batman the Dark Knight or Wonder Woman (2009, exclusive Commemorative Edition available now at Best Buy and online!) and why they were so fantastic. At the price point, with or without movie cash incentives, you gotta give this a one-shot (get it comic fans??) also Bonus material has a couple excellent Justice League Adventures animated episodes featuring Vixen in her more traditional, slightly older self. Tap into your Eagle and soar in to grab this with your Monkey Strength Paws and Elephant spirit stampede to the checkout line. You'll be sorry if you play possum on this entry!

Great tie-in to the already spectacular line of DC Universe shows from series show runner Greg Berlanti! This is a must-have for fans of Arrow, Flash, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl. The show acts as a back story to the character of Mari Mcabe who takes on the persona of Vixen after inheriting a magical totem from her birth mother. The character has appeared in live-action form in several episodes of Arrow as portrayed by the lovely Megalyn Echikonwoke and then Legends of Tomorrow (re-cast and portrayed by Maise Richardson-Sellers). If you are a fan of the character and want to know about her backstory and enjoy the DC line of CW shows and the characters in them, then BUY THIS!

This animated feature tells the story of Vixen, voiced by the actress who made a live action appearance as Vixen on Arrow. Many of the great characters from Arrow and Flash are also here, voiced by the actors from the TV shows - Green Arrow, Flash, Black Canary, Atom, & Cisco. (Unfortunately that blonde chick that ruined Arrow is included too, but thankfully only briefly). The animation is good, not cartoon like, similar to what you might see in the more mature DCAU films.

My children and I love to see ourselves projected on the big screen. Vixen is a character that my children can relate too. I love DC movies but making a movie such as this really gives them something to lift their head up and know that all superheroes aren't White. Vixen is a good movie that also shows the perspective of the woman superhero. Two thumbs up!

They should do more of these. D.C. Has always been superior in the animated world. The tv universe is very good and it could fit much more maybe we could see Constantine in this format or bridges between some of the shows. The story of Grod reaching gorilla city or some of H R s past. The possibilities are endless, I wish my budget was.

If you like the CW's DC series like The Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl this was an extra series they made to introduce the new character Vixen for it in the Arrow series you can watch it because it's just an extra story that the series creators wanted to do. If your a DC fan and fan of the CW series it needs to be seen and you need to own it.

The movie is a compelation of web episodes of the Vixen series on the CW Seed app and is really well written. The actors from the Flash and Arrow series voice their animated characters and the last sense in the movie is an animat d version of a scene in an episode of Arrow. I also loved the extras.

This is an origin story of Vixen. She is a superhero who can use the abilities of the animal kingdom. It ties into the world of the TV Show on the CW, Flash and Arrow, but it is a stand alone story. It does have several adult themes so even though it is a cartoon it is not for young kids.

Vixen is a terrific way to introduce this character to the Arrowverse. This title has a good introduction to the character, and helps develop her into the person we see in the live action show. Well worth watching, especially for fans of the various Arrowverse series.

I am a DC fan and this movie is an excellent addition to my DC animated collection. I like that they tried to simulate the characters form the CW so people who are not familiar with past origins can relate. Great action and great art work on the characters.

This was started on CW SEED and I watched the first half there and then I went back for the second half when it was finished. I loved it there so I knew I wanted it and hoped it would be put on DVD sooner or later. It is now and with more than what was on the Seed. Great story and great actors. Love it.

I was never really into Vixen when it came to comics, but after watching this animated movie, along with the special feature documentaries, it gave me more appreciation to the character. And the fact that this movie has the voice cast of the CW shows of Arrow, Flash, and others is GREAT!!

I own over 10 DC animated movies and pretty much all of them are good to great. There is a lot more character development then I expected. You get a great view on Vixen's story. Ever since Flashpoint I've been a fan of Flash which is feature and Arrow is in it as well. I recommend it!

It's fun to see these characters reimagined for kids with specifically girls in mind. I fully support it and have been happy that it's been doing so well. Just wish Warner Bros would continue releasing blu-rays because even though DVDs are cheaper, it's rough to watch on a 4K TV.

If you watch arrow or the flash on the CW and want more this is a great addition to the ever-growing series of DC characters on the CW now it doesn't have crazy amounts of special features but at least it includes a little bit.

This is along the same lines at the rest of the modern DC animation. It's good, but not the great standard they once had. It does tie into the "Arrowverse", which I don't watch, but not so much so that it is distracting.

I have to be honest, I have not seen it. its a stocking stuffer for my daughter, she likes Wonder Woman but really, she likes all female super heroes especially when they're tuff. So having a Vixen movie is a plus. DC hasn't let us down, so I know it's a good buy!
