I bought this VIZIO - 2.1-Channel Soundbar System with 5-1/4" Wireless Subwoofer and Digital Amplifier - Black/Silver as an open box item. It is connected to my 8-year-old Sony LCD TV through the digital optical out cable, which I purchased separately. The one that comes with it seemed subpar. The sound from this unit is excellent for the money compares to the TV speakers. If you are looking for a baser thumping sound, this is not for you. I love the audio and the base is perfect for my needs. This Vizio soundbar sounds excellent. You can make your sound adjustments through the multi-function remote or the soundbar itself. I have never had a lip sync problem with this system. For the price I paid this model surpasses higher end priced units I love everything about this soundbar, Read the specs and see for yourself, compare the sound for yourself, I would recommend this to someone who wants good sound and quality for someone on a budget.

The sound quality is great and it was so easy to set up. I like being able to move the woofer as needed

My wife and I have purchased two of these VIZIO - 2.1-Channel Soundbar System with 5-1/4" Wireless Subwoofer and Digital Amplifier - Black/Silver and are very satisfied with their performance.We purchased them both at separate times ,on sale.We really like that you can customize the,bass,treble and subwoofer with the controller,plus two modes,music and movies.It even has an equalizer setting.The sound is clear and the soundbar works best for small rooms.We have them connected to, two 43" Insignia HDTV.We were so happy with our first Vizio Soundbar,that we just had to wait till they were on sale again,to make our second purchase.We have had no issues and was pretty easy to hook up.My only pet peeve,is there is no manual,only a quick setup paper.If your not tech- savvy,I recommend having someone help.Other than that,we are satisfied with our purchases from Best Buy!

This soundbar was very easy to setup. I purchased because it is supposed to be the best soundbar at this price point. It does not have all of the features of the high end soundbars, but it does have Bluetooth connectivity and the sound is great.

Priced right and great value for the price. Sound quality fills our room and meets our needs

First time buying one of these sound bar systems. Actually bought 2, one for each TV. Sound quality is great and I love the ability to play Pandora from my phone via Bluetooth. Sub woofer is a very nice complement to this unit. I recommend it without a doubt!

For the price, Vizio really nailed the sound on this setup. Everything hooks up quickly and the subwoofer, via Bluetooth, synced as soon as I plugged it in. The subwoofer never over powered the soundbar but accented it perfectly. It's very unobtrusive and on the small side so it can fit just about anywhere. The soundbar had a nice look to it but the covering on the top and front seemed to attract cat fur like a dyson vacuum sucks up dirt. I returned this unit, not because of any problems but, because I received authorization from my wife to increase my audio budget for our new tv. If you're looking to spend less than 200$ on a soundbar system you can't go wrong with this one.

I chose to purchase the VIZIO - 2.1-Channel Soundbar System based on the other reviews given, and I'm very glad I did! I have an average size rectangular living room with standard height ceilings. The soundbar sits on the fireplace mantle below a wall mounted TV and the wireless sub woofer is in a front corner. The sound is fantastic for both television and music; very clear and balanced across the spectrum. One of the first music pieces I played on it was Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" and it sounded wonderful, with very faithful sound reproduction from the quietest to the loudest passages. I'm amazed at the sound quality particularly considering the price. This is a great value!

Wanted a sound bar for the Insignia tv in the game room. Looked at several online. Decided to go to Best Buy to hear them in person. While there, Jon helped me with listening to the different brands on display. After listening to all, I purchased the Vizio sound bar with subwoofer, which runs $179. For the the price this sound bar is absolutely amazing, not just for tv purposes but also when linked to any of the kids, wife's, or my iPad for listening to music. I enjoyed it so much that I bought one for the living room and one more for the tv outside under our covered screened in porch for the spring and summer months. That one though will be in a weather proofed box and taken inside for the fall and winter months when the covered porch longer gets used. Thanks to Jon and all his help, we now have great sound quality through out the house and enjoy everything from movies to listening to music.

Gave this as an early Christmas present and it installed with no problems. Originally connected as component audio to a DVR but that left us switching between TV and soundbar depending if we were watching antenna TV or DVR. Discovered TV had optical out so connected that, connected DVR component audio to TV, and bypassed the poor internal TV speakers for the soundbar. Everything now goes through the bar with no waiting for the bar to find the active input. The default bass is too strong for our preference so will adjust the balance, but the sound is solid and room filling with much clearer voices. The remote isn't all that well explained but is easy enough to figure out multiple button functions with a little experimenting. Black Friday pricing was a huge bonus for the overall value.

We were honestly just looking, but for the price, this was by far the best thing out there. We're using it right now to supplement a pretty old television's horrible internal speakers - and it's got QUITE the boost. It's loud, clear, and so much better than what we had. The wireless subwoofer adds a ton of depth, and the ability to connect to it via bluetooth adds flexibility for when you're cleaning the house or just want some background music without using the TV. Great purchase, and would buy again!

This sound bar is sneaking good the subwoofer holds its own and the sound is much louder than I expected filled our decent size apartment living room nicely. I use it to play music via Bluetooth as well and it handles that flawlessly. I will say that the subwoofer is not going to knock your socks off but it will hold its own if your watching a Netflix or Disney plus movie. The set up was very easy and with minimal wires it blends in with your other entertainment setup well. Give it a try you will be pleased. Merry Xmas to you all and happy new year!

The sound bar produces a clean and crisp sound while the subwoofer is just enough to upset the neighbors if you’re in an apartment. The bass is of course adjustable. Giving this 4 stars because the volume acts strange sometimes when trying to adjust it.

This soundbar is more than getting the job done. I’ve had it for several weeks and I am very pleased with its output. No matter the media: Music, Movie, Video Game...Its all sounding great. In fact, after buying it, I hooked it all up quickly without consulting the instructions much...But just the other day I stumbled upon the option to adjust its bass, treble, and subwoofer. Adjusting these made this already great sounding harware sound INCREDIBLY AWESOME and even MORE POWERFUL. I went to several stores and listened to many soundbars and hands down, this is the best soundbar in its price range. Don’t pass on it.

I had researched soundbars on cnet.com and this Vizio soundbar got high marks. It was easy to set-up, sits neatly underneath the bottom frame of my 65" smart TV. Definitely adds a punch to the audio experience from my TV. There were downside comments about the LED lights on the face of the soundbar and the minimal remote, however, the light is not that noticeable and doesn't detract from my viewing experience, and the remote is fine. I also love the bluetooth capability. I sync my phone to the soundbar to boost the audio from my music library. A lot of great sound for a little investment.

This is my first Soundbar and I am very satisfied with it. For the price, it just can not be beat. It works very well and has great sound. I use it in my room and have it connected to my Smart TV and Bluray player to watch movies and using the Bluetooth, to listen to music. I liked it so well that I bought one for my son to use for his XBOX.

Works great for an enclosed frontroom area. Has food mid range and the subwoofer definitely enhances sound.

For a baby boomer aged techno dummy, this soundbar was very easy to activate with our 12 year old "dumb" TV! Easy to pair with Bluetooth devises and the sound is a great improvement over the TV speakers!

Sounds very good. Needed to turn the bass down, which was a nice surprise. Pretty straight forward regarding use. However, even though I have a Vizio TV as well, I can't seem to get the TV remote to turn on this unit. I will have to contact the manufacture.

This soundbar is a significant upgrade from the built-in speakers. Set-up was very easy and the system has been very reliable across multiple sources to the TV. Definitely worth the money!
