This TV was easy to set up and works very well with my HD Antenna. Remote is a bit overlly simple, and I recommend you buy if you plan to use your phone to control. I find this the only draw back, as the software to run is not simple to use.

This is my first Smart TV and I'm loving the features. Having my cell phone as the remote is so much more convenient as I always have my phone on hand. Being able to cast apps like Netflix and YouTube directly to the TV is great and easy.

I like the TV. It has decent picture and sound quality but set up was a pain. For any setting change you NEED the phone app. I also had to purchase a separate remote because the included one is severely crippled in functionality.

Wish I had researched Smartcast first

I wanted a smart TV for my bedroom, I saw the 32" Vizio SmartCast TV on sale for Black Friday and bought it, got it home and set up and was disappointed with the smart aspect of this TV and it's no frills basic remote. You can't stream with apps on the TV, you have to download the SmartCast app to your smartphone or tablet and watch that app stream from your phone if your phone or tablets batter is dead no streaming for you. You can't access the TV's settings with the TV remote again you have to use your smartphone/tablet to access the TV's menu, if your color/brightness/hint needs to be changed and your device isn't handy...well I hope your OK watching people with green skin in your movie because you can't change it unless you put aside the popcorn and get up and go get your smartphone. There's no keypad on the remote or the SmartCast app so you can't go from say from channel 96 to channel 44 directly you have to scroll up or down 1 channel at a time. But the picture is good...haha. Am I mad?, yes at myself for not looking into this TV before my impulse buy. I'll sell it the first chance I get and buy a Samsung like in my living room that came with a real remote.

    Best TV-as-Monitor I've Found

Got this for a coworker who wanted "the biggest monitor money could buy." Did lots of research and found this TV was the only 32" in-stock item with a 120hz rate and decided the price was worthy of giving it a shot. Needless to say I was thoroughly impressed at the crispness from close or far away. Setup was easy and my coworker has never been happier. The TV is very lightweight. You only need a phillips head screwdriver to put it together (2 screws). I would recommend this to anyone and everyone needing a 32" screen for literally any use-case I can think of that doesn't require 4k.

    My first TV!

This was the first TV I bought on my own. I had a Roku already when I lived with my last roommate who already had a TV, so I was looking for something that didn't have the Roku but could still offer something extra. The chromecast feature is awesome and it fills a need that the Roku sometimes can't do. Setup and installation (I just have mine on the stands) was really simple. It didn't cost me a fortune, and so far it's drastically improved my evenings!

Excellent HDTV but be aware that it does not come with a FULL remote control. To access fine tunings and update its Firmware you'll need a smartphone, tablet, etc., and download their app. Your online mobile device will now function as the remote. It's the only draw back but only if you don't have a mobile smart-device.

Despite the specific labels on the box, I still thought this tv had some apps loaded. It doesn't. You can only cast from your mobile device or plug in cable/sat. So, if you put this in a guest room, and you don't have cable, you'll have to make sure your guests are able to cast from their devices or give them yours. Outside of that, the picture is great, the sound is pretty good and so far, no technical issues. Works as intended.

This was a good purchase, the quality is good. The big issue i have is the remote is not the easiest to use. It doesn't have any channel buttons so you can't just punch in a channel. And when i scan in for local channels thanks to the digital broadcast and bad weather. Some of the stations we used to get won't scan in now. So i think we will go to cable now and just get local stations via the cable provider. Other than that, its a good tv.

So VIZIO has smartcast installed. I didnt want to put a cable box in the guest bedroom and have to spend the monthly fee. So I just live stream whats on my phone to the computer. Its pretty easy, but you have to have really good internet. If the internet is off, then its not going to work. If you have good internet, the picture is great. Whatever you have on your phone like HBO GO or Netflix or whatever just loads on. I was going to do insignia because it has ROKU but insignia's picture quality was off when I bought the tv and i returned it.
