He did not realize that one needs a smart phone or tablet to stream movies. We do not own a smart phone and did not want to stream with a tablet so we exchanged this TV for a D-Series Vizio.

I did have some issues getting it working correctly. I don't know what it is about this TV but it just isn't very good. We bought it is the second TV to have in our bedroom, and we never use it.

Smartcast....more like NO CAST!

We bought this product for our bedroom in hopes we could use the smart features to access Netflix and other apps easily. I'm used to Samsung smart TV's where all you need to do is push a button to access these apps. The smartcast app on my phone most times would not display the button to project Netflix from my phone to the TV. After fooling with it for 15 minutes or so it was just easier to turn the TV off and watch the show from my tablet. I would not recommend this to anyone until the smartcast technology has been mastered.

Posted .Thank you for your feedback. Some information that may help you is that the SmartCast App is only needed to connect your TV to the Network or to adjust advanced settings. To cast content all you need to do is open the specific application and tap on the cast icon. We are constantly reviewing our SmartCast application to add features and additional support for other apps and devices.
