First, the remote was as minimal as could be! They want you to download an app for a better remote! I got over that, as again, I wasn't expecting greatness at this price point. All I needed it to do was play cable TV! It died 6 months after purchase. I would not waste my money on this TV.

I am not, which is why I returned the tv for one less brain invasive. I just want to watch not drive myself crazy. the picture looked clear and crisp. sound was good. that's about the extent of my experience with this vizio.

Posted .Thanks for the feedback. You only need to complete the setup if you'd like to connect this Display to the internet to cast applications like Netflix. If you'd just like to use the display connected to a set top box (from a cable or satellite provider) simply skip the setup by pressing the play/pause button on the IR remote, and then using the Input key on the remote to select the input your devices are using.

Ok for Smart TV

Audio Issues

Posted .Thank you for your feedback. So you are aware, the SmartCast app isn't needed to watch content. To cast a chromecast capable application simply open the app on you smart phone or tablet and tap on the cast icon. This allows you access to thousands of different cast-capable applications.

This is a real problem with my guests. This tv was supposed to go in my guest room but that won't work now.
