I know that this isn't exactly a top-of-the-line home theater device, but for our small living room, the sound is great even without external speakers, the size is perfect, and I routinely watch from way off to one side with no loss in viewing quality.

We have one in our living room and after my other TV went out in the bedroom after 18 months I decided to go with what we know works - VIZIO - We will not own anything else ever. The products from VIZIO and BEST BUY are outstanding.
